Do you use baby wipes to clean stamps?

I did use baby wipes until I was gifted a Lawn Fawn Stamp Shammy. I love using a chamois and they are so easy to use - just get the chamois wet, wring it out, and wipe off the stamp. I have a little dish I keep it in while I work and stays moist for a long time. You can use it over and over and over. It works for clear and red rubber stamps. I did purchase a generic chamois from Amazon and cut it to size. I did not have luck with the $1 store "absorber" version of a chamois. I thought it left fibers on my stamps (same with baby wipes), but I might have bought the wrong thing.

For baby wipes, I just bought whatever brand the cheapest was that didn't have alcohol or fragrance, aloe or lanolin.

I use a no scent gentle baby wipe - maybe 7th generation? I don't always have water at a crop, so these work best for me.

I use the generic chamois cloths and cut them down. I occasionally use baby wipes, but I find that they all leave fibers behind on my stamps. I do use wipes for many other things, though, and I usually buy what's on sale (no babies here anymore).

I use Kirkland. For some inks that really hold color I will spray Hero Arts stamp cleaner. Every once in awhile I buy the big refill bottle from Joann on sale and online. I also use an old soft toothbrush after stamping black ink or very staining colors along with stamp cleaner and one of those microfiber clothes.

Yes, I do use baby wipes. I did switch to a chamois because of the landfill thing. I try to keep my carbon footprint low too. Baby Wipes I buy cheap store brands with no alcohol.

Funny story I make my own "bleach wipes". I use them for animal messes and to take to the store to wipe down carts and hands when I am shopping. My DH watched me put alcohol in the container with baby wipes. He was like why don't you buy the baby wipes with alcohol then you don't need to do that. I said I have to buy the baby wipes with no alcohol for stamping, lol. You know crafting priorities, lol.

I used to use Kirkland wipes until I got my stamp shammy from Lawn Fawn. I am however considering going back to the wipes. The ink stains on the stamp shammy generally don't cause an issue, but I was using a rubber background stamp the other night with versafine for tone on tone effect, and when I wiped it off, the shammy left ink smears behind. I gave the shammy a good wash with a drop of Dawn and repeated the process with a clear background stamp, and the same thing happened. Maybe it is just due to the sticky nature of versafine?

In the automotive section. It comes in a plastic tube shaped container.

I have a Lawn Fawn shammy. Love it. I later bought a Gina K shammy because it was gray.

I know some people use a microfiber cloth.

I appreciate the clarification. I wondered if an absorber was different than the automotive coths.

I have some stamps that I used recently with black Momenta ink. I have never had problems cleaning the Momenta ink off with baby wipes before, but those stamps had a lot of detail, and some areas just did not want to come clean. I will pick up an absorber and try that. I have a stamp scrubber, which I don't use that often (because baby wipes are faster and easier), but for some reason, I can't figure out where I put it. My craft room isn't that messy right now, either.

Yes, I've cut mine into 3 or 4 pieces.  They last forever.    They will get stained, but there is no residue transferred to the stamps.

I use this. No lint, very absorbent. Got it at Target for 3 bucks.
