Great update! I did something similar once (sent $$$ to a closed credit card) and it wasn't nearly as fast of a resolution! I have been lax about deleting paid off accounts from my online bill pay. I used to do it but my bank won't let me look up payment history once I delete a payee, so I stopped in case I needed to prove I made a payment. I know I can do that just through my statements, but I wanted a way to access that info for one payee all at once. Anyway, a timely reminder to go back and delete anything no longer open, thank you!
