LisaDV , points, points, points! Wonder what I can find for scrapping at Home Depot? Dry wall tape is the same thing as magic mesh. Don't forget paint chips! Good for journaling on and punching shapes from. Washers can be painted, or just used as a finding.

Thanks, LavenderLayoutLady . I ended up getting just some vent covers that I use for organizing and storing my metal dies. My husband found someone to help him in Home Depot with brass fittings that were too high for me to reach or read. He was extremely helpful and spent a lot of time trying each piece together to make sure they fit. I know he didn't know my husband is legally blind, but he couldn't have been more helpful if he had known. It's great when you find an employee who really exhibits customer service.

Don’t forget you get points for scrappy purchases this month! I'm doing my part on that challenge lol! No double points though lol nylene that was mean and I'm glad I didn't see it earlier grammadee ! I'm glad you're home and will have time with the family this weekend, but that sucks no scrapping. I hope they figure out what's going on! Take care of yourself! I'm off work, ran a quick errand and I'm starting to drag. I'm going to hang out here hoping for a second wind lol. LavenderLayoutLady I hope you will jump right in! It sounds like you have a good start. I have unfinished projects I'm going to work on this weekend as well.

Oh, grammadee , I'm so sorry. What a spastic digestive system you have. I hope you feel better and can enjoy your grandbabies tomorrow. LavenderLayoutLady , I didn't even think about drywall tape or washers. nylene , I haven't found someone that helpful at HD in years. I did just have someone like that at Lowe's last month. Chinagirl828 , did you finish your layout? joyfulnana , did you get that second wind? I went and picked up pizza for dinner, and we watched Shazam as a family. It's now almost 11pm and I'm ready for bed. Not very good. I was thinking of trying to do one digital layout before I go to bed to make myself feel like not so much of a loser, but then I decided I am a loser and I should own that!! I will hit it in the morning. I think I'm taking an ice pack to bed though. We don't have central air here, 2 portable ac units. It's still hot.

Not yet. I had a late sleep in and have been sitting in the sunshine reading. My craft room is south facing so doesn't get much natural light and I want to enjoy the nice winter day while we have it. I'll probably head back in there later this afternoon.

I’m just on my way home and plan to pull out some new stamps to make my aunt a card. I have some photos ready to go tomorrow and hope to get a few pages done - still working on my old travel photos from the 1990s. This time a trip to Switzerland. I haven’t scrapped in a while so am looking forward to getting back into it.

Chinagirl828 , I was going to say there is nothing better than reading on a wintery day, but had to stop myself. Because reading anytime is awesome: stormy day, sunny day outside in the shade, winter by the fireplace, winter curled up on the couch, ... lol. anniefb , yay for getting back into scrapping. I woke up early this morning and was going to post my sketchy Saturday post. i created the layout last month. Well, this mornings search made me realize the layout I was saving for this Saturday, I must have went ahead and posted last month. Should have known not to do it early. So I did a quick page this morning.
Now I'm debating going back to bed or doing more scrapbooking or working on those cards...

Hi everyone 🙂 I’m hoping to hop on here and there at least to chat a bit, I haven’t done that for a bit. I’ve been printing a lot of photos this week and have started a lo so I hope I can finish that at least, but I’d like to do more. I have so many ideas in my head , just need to make more time to scrap! I hope everyone has a great weekend. I’m hoping to stay in all weekend since we have a heat wave going on.

We have a heat wave here as well dasmith2 so I'm staying in too! I did not get my second wind but I did pull out a few half finished projects. I've had coffee and I'm going to putz around and see what I can finish.

We have a heat/humidity wave too, and no central AC Our portable AC goes from the kitchen during the day to our bedroom at night. DD has slept on our bedroom floor the past 3 nights... grammadee - keep well, I'm so sorry you were sick! I hope you can enjoy your grandbabies! I am going to head to my scrap space for an hour now, but then we have a bunch of adulting to do And tomorrow DH scheduled a social day with friends (how dare he! I don't need to socialize, I have you guys! ) I hope to pop in and chat. I need to find my Mojo and was relying on this weekend to find it.

I was somewhat productive at the crop yesterday. 6 layouts for the baby book I'm doing, 10 cards, some tacos, some cake and a whole lot of chatting. I need to do less chatting and more gluing today!

Dd just called. They are at least six hours away. Dgs is practically vibrating, making plans with Grampa to ride on everything with wheels on the farm. Got my camera battery charging.
Feeling okay today. Woke up craving coffee which is a good thing as far as my digestive tract goes. Tossing back a cup right now. I need to make a couple of beds and do a little vacuuming, but I might take time first to put together a couple of birthday cards I need for the week after next (and next week is looking pretty busy).

grammadee I hope you are feeling better today and can enjoy using up your camera battery! I had gall bladder issues for a long time before they decided to take that stinker out. Then the surgeon commented that it was so bad it should have been taken a "long time ago". Like I had a choice in the matter!

dasmith2, how are you? It’s been a while, so it’s good to “see” you. We’re having the heat here too, today it’s also storming off and on. joyfulnana, putzing while staying cool sounds perfect. kitbop, I’ve thought about sleeping on DD’s trundle bed several nights this week or on the couch which are the 2 rooms where the portables are set up. Sorry you have to adult today. I actually have some adulting today too. I have to take my van into the service center at some point, make lunch, and probably oversee a bit of packing during a dry spell. Ugh. gramma, I think 6 layouts and 10 cards is whole lot to get done at a 2 day crop when there is food and chatting also going on and you got that done in 1 day!! You’re amazing! grammadee, I’m glad you felt good enough for a coffee craving. DD can make the beds while you and Grampa entertain the littles. I say just rest. I have finished 3 layouts already today. All digital. I have a 2 pager up to work on but am going to go clean my shrimp and make stock. Making etouffee today. Using those crawfish DS caught yesterday too. So I guess I should start soaking them in their salt water too. Maybe I’ll finish a card first though…. I'd like to get them finished and the desk cleaned off.

Good afternoon ladies!😁
I hope everyone is well.
I finished* three layouts for my teen's school album.
And my youngest wanted to look through his albums, which brought me to the realization that I didn't scrapbook last Halloween in his album. So the pic, paper, PL cards, and embellishments are sitting on my table, waiting, so that I don't forget.

Awesome, LavenderLayoutLady!! It's so sweet when a child wants to look at their album too. Love that. I finished a few of the cards before taking a break. I just counted I have 7 finished between yesterday and today so far. All floral and purple. There is a storm coming through that has "dangerous thunderstorm and lightening alerts". Even my emergency alert system went off to warn of flash flooding. But I need to go take my van in and DD is not comfortable with us traveling in the weather since it says not to. I should come create some more, but instead I'm really thinking about a nap. I had to fight dogs for my spot last night.

I got a layout done yesterday and started a mini book/TN thing. I am working today, but I grabbed my week in the life album I am working on as time allows. I also need to add up points for a few layouts I posted in the July posting thread since I have become behind on that lol.

Not as much progress as I'd hoped yesterday but I did finally break out my Yoseng brushes and play around with some blending and also started practicing stamping some peonies with my 'Fleur Impressions' set from the Greetery that I want to use for my aunt's card since I haven't used it before.

Not much creating going on here. I've been fighting the urge to take a nap and knitting rather than scrapping. I feel lazy today so I'm just going to go with it lol.

I finished two 8.5x11 Halloween layouts just now. I used the last two 6x6 Halloween paper pad sheets, most of a Halloween sticker sheet, and realized I have zero fall/Halloween PL cards left. Oh, and I used a spider web border punch.

Hi everyone! I just remembered this was this weekend, whoops. How is everyone coming along with their progress?
I spent a large portion of today working on my albums for the first time in awhile because we have been trying to get our house ready to sell and a million other little things! Today I edited and printed photos for 4 weeks in project life which will finish off album #1 for 2019 and for the cover page for album 2. I also edited and printed photos for a 9x12 layout and a pocket page about my daughter's 8th grade prom for her album and some of my self portraits for my OLW journal. Now I am going to try to put together one week of project life before bed. Hopefully tomorrow I will have some time to hop on here and get a few more of the spreads completed.

I've been fighting the urge to take a nap and knitting rather than scrapping. I feel lazy today so I'm just going to go with it lol. Knitting is creating! I know for me I go through phases where all I want to do is scrapbook and other times I want to focus on knitting, cross-stitch or quilting. I just go with my urge... it's all crafting, it's all for fun, and eventually I will feel like working on the other projects again!

LavenderLayoutLady, sound like you should reward yourself for using all your fall/Halloween supplies by buying more! anniefb, I hope you'll share your cards made with that Greetery set. That card kit that I found yesterday that I thought just needed assembly needed a whole lot more than that so I spent the afternoon stamping and die cutting. It is finally ready for assembly (6 cards). And the design I struggled with last night is all stamped and cut and ready for assembly (6 cards). I think that's a good place to start tomorrow.

I sorted and cleaned last night and my desk was in great order this morning.
My dies were a huge mess because I didn’t have enough magnetic mats but they came today, so I settled those.
I made a card for my niece
I made a card that I’ve had sitting half made for months.
I made tags for my nephews girlfriend to go in her card.
I’ve got 3 pages partly done, by that I mean I have thevohotos in pockets.
Right I’m prepping photos for printing for tomorrow. But the PL app keeps freezing. Yes I updated it
It’s so hot here!

teacherlisa, I saw your layouts on the sharing thread. They’re awesome. I love how you journal. I’m behind on leaving love over there though. anniefb, I just bought the cheaper Yoseng styled brushes from amazon and then proceeded to leave them at the new house. Of course, all my ink pads are at the old house. (face palm) joyfulnana, I did nap. Also, I think knitting is a perfectly awesome craft day activity. Are you still working on your Christmas stocking? LavenderLayoutLady, Exciting on 2 levels! That great feeling of finishing off a supply (using your stash so well). You deserve a pat on the back for that. Additionally , it sounds like a Halloween/fall shopping spree might be in your future. Happy dance. lasteve1, glad you found us before the weekend is over. Also glad you got some time to play today. freeatlast, sounds like a perfect starting point for tomorrow. Enjoy your evening. I took a nap and woke to the worst part of the storm moved away, so we went to drop off my van at the service center. We got to see firsthand why the emergency broadcast texted the flash flood warning. So that was fun. I then made dinner and cleaned up. I’ve been sitting with dd since as she’s been a bit needy. Maybe because they’re leaving without the momma tomorrow. I was hoping to get back in the craft room tonight, but I think I’m going to hunt the boys down and make them play a game with us. DD’s idea. Then bed…I know I napped, but I’m not a napper by nature, so I’m more tired than when I laid down in the first place.

I actually got a couple pages done this afternoon! Granted, they are 6x8 pocket pages that were about 75% done, but every little bit counts! I’m hoping to have a bit more time this evening and/or tomorrow too.
