Thanks Pat. It could be easily be done in paper! Very versatile design!!! I did this one similar to the paper one with the journaling is different though. I was in slo mo today! I did not accomplish much other then posting that duck on FB and this digi page. I found the picture of this duck after I got home and put my photos on the computer. I could not figure out what is was with that white shape around it's eye.CVNP got back to me-it is a female wood duck. Boy the males are something again. Here's what I am talking about  |

Hello and rainy evening here in Buckeye Land.... now it is supposed to be a lot cooler.. strange summer here! Cindy your challenge page is very pretty,I love that photo and the paper strips just pop!!I have a feeling that this horse riding stuff is here to stay. Too bad she doesn't live close to me,there is a horse farm about 1/4 mile from me. They have tons of horses and classes. I was also in slo-mo today,trying to get my sails back up... I am much better,thanks for the well wishes. We had to set the raccoon trap again,since one was trapped last night but managed to roll the cage with a cement block on top,eat the tuna and tear a big hole in the side. Dsil,repaired it and has it set again. This one was messing around my pond and I can't have that.They are a continuing problem for me... wish they would move on.I do have a water motion detector but they still hang around.It must have been rough on the prairie,lol!! Well,I managed a sunset page this evening,now I need to rest,lol... Just a few nights ago,dd captured some gorgeous colors from her deck. I so love sunrises and sunsets,that I could not resist. Journaling just tells about some of the funny badges Pixar created for Russell, like 2nd Aid (as opposed to First Aid), 2D animation, a badge with the Toy Story ball on it, one with a hamburger with a candle because the director saw a cake like that at a local bakery where they hung out after long days at work. Haven't seen the movie with Russell in it. I would love to see the badges larger. I did try clicking on it, but was not really able to see them. I like how you created a sash with them, too cute. Pam, I hope you are up and going today! Love the sunset page. Your artistic touches are amazing.
I just have a minute. I'm just finishing up the things needed for my Cubs today. Then I need to pack up my scraproom (well, not all of it) for a trip up the canyon tomorrow for a day at a friend's cabin with our Card Club. We will each teach a new technique. I'm teaching Box Cards which I learned through Theresa. Thanks again for pointing the way, Theresa.
It will be nice to be in the mountains, but I need to get all my stuff together and make sure I'm not forgetting something.
Nice to see everyone! I'll check in again when we get back.

Just got back from the bff lunch... we ate at a Chinese restaurant,a favorite of Pat's,since we were celebrating her bd. Then a little shopping.. and I am glad to be back home. Lots of laughs and plans to celebrate Kathy's bd on the 25th. Hopefully I will feel better with a good appetite.
AnneChristine your page is so cute. I love stars and use a lot of them on my pages and cards and I also have them in my décor. I love your layered pp,so cute!
Nylene,the card making trip sounds fun..plus learning new techniques.. have fun.
Kelly,how is your weather? We are at about 70 and it feels chilly,lol. More than likely after a few days,then hot and humid again. We had a huge rain last night and then the cool temps... Fickle weather this year for us.
Although I have been to Disney and thoroughly loved it,the dgs played with his band there,so thrilling,right in front of the castle,I don't keep up with all the characters lately. I am on a learning curve when you gals mention some that I don't know,lol.We have plans to return someday and I will need to listen to you girls so I know.
I am doing a little laundry,then I might make a page... Hello to all and have a good evening. Soon Come Pam

Ann- What a sweet lo! I like the angle of the pp and that journaling note is cute with this page. The stars are fun, too. Buffy- I know your ds must be so excited to have a car. I still remember when I got my first. What a fun memory! Pam- Oh, so happy you got to play with your buddies today. Chinese food, yummy! Our weather is warm and sunny. It is so weird how it get hot in our apartment but when you go outside it isn't so bad! LOL! Hope the warm temps show up for you so you can enjoy it. I see you are doing some housework. I have some to do but nahhhh... I think I am going to paint for a while. |

Ann, I left you some love on your layout. Did I remember that you thought your pages would be elementary? Maybe that wasn't you, but someone else on this thread,(too lazy to look back and find it) but your layout is wonderful. I pinned it. I hope that's OK with you. Buffy, what kind of car did you get? How exciting for your son.
Pam, you are at 70 and we got up to 103 yesterday. Today we just hit 100. But we have big rains coming and worries for flash floods in the lower part of the state. It will cool things off up here but we probably won't get much rain. So glad you could celebrate with your friends. I hope you are much better by the next birthday. I had to chuckle at not being up on the Disney stuff. I haven't been to Disneyland since 2007 and will probably have to ask for help as I try to remember the names of the rides, etc. in our 2014 photos.
Angie will probably know. The only Disney stuff I'm really up on are the Pixar movies since Jon's involved. LOL! We have to support his employment!!
Cindy, what are you doing with yourself this week without the kids? Relaxing would be good!
Corrine, when you say you are having a cold front in Dallas, how cool does it get? I thought Texas was very hot in the summers.
Well, I'm packed for the trip, all but the food I'm taking. I hope I'm not forgetting something important like a paper trimmer or something.

Got back late last night from getting the car. What a pain!! It turned out to be like Gillgans Island. It should have been 3 hours up and back, ended up being 7 hours. ERGH!! The car he got is a 1982 Land Rover Series 3. It's right hand drive, typical British car. But we've owned/own multiple British cars so we are used to it. And it's a diesel so he's going to get about the same gas milage as I get in my diesel which is good. And the best part is because it's an older British car, he can't go above 55. Happy Thursday! I see we have slowed down here. We did get off to a hot start. 11 pages already. I finished up a new painting and will upload it soon. I hope to start washing my hair tonight. If you all could see all the long, thick hair I have you could imagine what a big job this is. LOL!

Everyone must have gotten busy! It's hard to fit everything in the day sometimes, working, 2 kids, husband, trying to squeeze scrapping in there somewhere! Corrine, when you say you are having a cold front in Dallas, how cool does it get? I thought Texas was very hot in the summers. it does get extremely hot, normally around 100+ this time of year. We hit 65 degrees and broke a 70 year record! it has been so nice outside, definitely a welcomed change but I know it will not last!! |
