That’s pretty much it. We went to Supercuts but from now on it’s going to be my hair stylist. She’s handling it very well, much better than I expected. Just UGH...

How old is she, and does she realize it's not a great cut?

I remember when I was young, under ten, I got a bad haircut.
I would have never realized it was bad, except my mom would not stop talking about it. I was mortified, but she didn't even try to get the guy to fix it.
Anyway, I'm sorry she has a not great cut. Thankfully it will grow.

I came home from a perm in 6th grade that I didn't want and my dog wouldn't stop barking at me. I cried so hard.
I feel her pain! Maybe see if you can take her to your hair stylist this week if she wants to change it.

OP hopefully your stylist can fix it up.

The good thing is it is hair and it will grow but we all know how long that time feels as we impatiently wait. My horrible haircuts as a child came from the hands of my Mom that cannot cut or draw a straight line AND I horrible photo reminders to prove it. Poor kid. I hope your stylist might be able to do something to speed the growing out period along.

It would be a disaster.

BTDT with my oldest dd when she was 13 right before her birthday. She’s 25 now and I still cringe thinking about it. We both loved though and even laughed about it the other day. ❤️

i have a bad haircut now. it is very short. i wanted it very short, but this hair doesn't want to even point in the right direction! you know what the difference between a good haircut and a bad haircut is? two weeks. i am almost at the three week mark. it's getting better. i would try not to focus on it too much. it ewill get better or get to be time to go get another haircut soon.

Oh dear, it was my DS who got a very, very bad cut at Supercuts when he was about nine and I started taking him to my stylist. Not everyone can manage curly hair and a double crown.

How old is she? At least there's a few weeks before school starts. Give it time to grow.

She’s 11. Thee stylist cut the top way too short so there isn’t much to work with. She’s ok, it’s just me feeling bad.

I got a perm about 2 months ago and she left the processor on too long. And she had cut it way to short!
My zingy hair has given a lot a people the giggles. It’s okay, but I swear I am going to hug the shit out of the stylist next time I see her!

When I was in sixth grade my mom decided to have my waist length hair cut off and permed. I looked like Little Orphan Annie. It was awful, so awful. I still don't know why she decided to do that to me.

My DS and I were getting haircuts at the same time at a Mastercuts. He got done first and came and stood by me. I was looking at him in the mirror, and said it looks kind of choppy. My stylists stopped cutting my hair, looked at my son and said, "I will fix his when I am done with you." I could tell she was not happy with how his hair looked either. She did a great job on his hair considering how bad it was and how short.
If someone cuts my hair poorly I will not go back to them, this is one thing if they do not get it right the first time they do not get a second chance. Either you know what you are doing or you don't .

My oldest is 18 and I just yesterday sprung for her to have her hair cut at the fancy curly hair salon, which costs twice what my mid-priced salon costs and way more than SuperCuts or similar.
I feel terrible. I should have let her do this years ago. But her hair looks great now!

I've been with my gal for almost 20yrs, longer than I've been married. I cringe when I pay the bill but it is worth it to me. I've got an appointment on Tuesday to chop my almost waist length hair to about my chin or shorter. 5th-ish time we've done this and I'm so excited! Just wish I could donate it but had to start color the grays so no one wants it.

I still remember when my mom chopped my waist length hair down to my shoulders when I was about 4-5 years old. I cried for hours and hours, and hid under the kitchen table! And she was a hair stylist so it didn’t even look bad, it just wasn’t LONG anymore. I was my mom’s guinea pig for decades, LOL. She tested out many different brands of perms, hair color, long and short hair styles, you name it on me when I was a kid and a teen. I vowed I wouldn’t ever chop off all my kid’s hair like that without her consent. She liked having long, long Rapunzel hair. She finally got her first substantial haircut from my hair stylist sister about two years ago when she was seven (still past her waist but not touching the floor when she sat anymore) and recently had about a foot more cut off this summer after school was out. She now has bangs for the first time in her life and she’s so cute! It will be okay, it’s just hair and it will grow back.

I am happy to hear she is ok with it. Thank goodness it will grow back!
I never, ever made DD or DS cut their hair. My parents made the girls have pixie cuts and the boys had buzz cuts. None of us were happy about that. I understand it was easier, when you have 6 kids in 6 years.
ETA - A good stylist or barber are worth a small fortune to me.

Aww, I feel for her. I got the WORST haircut in March. I have short hair. Nothing fussy and I’ve never had a problem going anywhere to get it done before. The stylist that did it sucked. She used clippers instead of scissors and messed up the side part and bangs and it just didn’t fall right. It felt so weird. I had to wait weeks for it to grow in enough for someone to even attempt to fix it. I was pissed. When I finally went back to get it cut again, they guessed right away who did it. Uh, why does she still work here then? I’ve changed salons.
My DD got a haircut just before first grade that she hated and thought was too short, and to this day she reminds me of it every time I mention taking her for a cut. She wears it long now and won’t even consider more than taking an inch or two off.

My son, when he was in high school, got a bad haircut. He has cowlicks and the stylist cut them so short that his hair was standing straight up in the back. It grew back, but he never went to her again. We all knew it was bad, but never said how bad it was. Now eyebrows is another story...my daughter got hers done and they don't match. She almost looks like she is in a state of surprise. I feel so bad. She went to our regular lady but she messed up big time.

It cannot be bleached, permanently colored or chemically treated. Hair cannot be permed to donate to Pantene Beautiful Lengths. I have stubborn greys so have had to use permanent color.

I too gave up taking our dd years ago to a Supercuts. They trashed her hair. We asked if they took hair donations. They said they did. Well, she put dd’s hair in a pony tail and whacked it! I was so mad.
After she took the rubber band off the girl tried to fix it. I told her just leave it alone. Then I got on the phone in front of her to make an appointment with my stylist.
I was so disgusted. I could of taken my daughter 30 minutes away for a good donation cut. We were trying to squeeze it in between other things we were doing. Lesson learned!

When I was a young teen, I spent what seeemed like forever growing out my very short hair into bob-length. But when I went to get it all shaped and cut, the hairstylist convinced my mom and me that I should get an assymetrical cut. Yeah, that was bad. My mom and I spent hours and hours trying to make it look halfway decent, and we finally gave up and had to cut all my hair off again. It sucked, but I survived.
