A bit of sunshine in a day otherwise consumed by news of the mass shootings. Thank you for sharing.

How wonderful to see these young, happy people enjoying and living life!
Especially on a day where I am filled with sadness and anger.
Thank you for sharing! What an amazing memento for your son and your family.

Very cool. I used to love roller skating in Central Park. Here is a picture of a button I still have from Goodskates:

i could only see one picture, the one with him putting his skates on. not sure what i am doing wrong. You may just need to scroll down. When you scroll down, the images sometimes come in from below, but also from the side as you scroll downward. On your phone, the sides are all cropped, so if you can view it on a laptop or pc, the effect is much better.

I'll show this to Noah! When our only roller rink closed this year after over 40 years in business, he went to their sale and bought lots of memorabilia like that. He even got a roller skating coloring book from the seventies!

Very neat! I love the video at the end, it gave me goosebumps! I know, me too! Noah and his friend Kev met the photographer late one night, well after midnight, when the streets downtown would be clear and shot that. They had to make sure they had green lights all the way in order for it to work, and it took three times, but it turned out so cool!

I had trouble as well initially with things coming in from side, bottom, etc. I just used the very narrow bar at far right of my screen, kept clicking to advance to next page. Totally worth it!

Thank you! That was so beautifully done.
You can tell that Noah LOVES those skates by the way the front toe stop is worn! You can tell that the two of them share a very special friendship, it just oozes through the pictures!

When I click your link, the comments come up and block stuff so I can't see full pics or read the article. Is there a way to make the comments go away?
I figured it out. Awesome article. Fantastic pictures.

I looked for an X but couldn't find one on my kindle. I just did a search for the article and that worked. I so deserve to be laughed at for my ridiculous tech problems. I'm quite certain that ds and dh are going to get their eyes stuck from rolling them at me so much.

I love this story and the photos so very much! In the midst of so much heartache, death and frustration over the past few days because of the mass shootings we've been discussing here, it is an incredible breath of fresh air to read an article that reminds of what simple happiness and joy are all about. Strapping on a pair of roller skates, getting together with a best friend and skating away. I am so thrilled for your son Noah that he found such an amazing friend in Kev-just from looking at the photos I can see how much joy skating brings them.
The photos are truly exceptional and I'm sure they'll be a treasured keepsake for your son, Kev and all of your family for years to come. Thank you so much for sharing this article with us.
