This board is moving slow again so I thought I'd add a few topics of conversation.
Which brands of scrapbook products do you consistently like and buy a lot of? Which brands do you skip?
I absolutely love Vicki Boutin- her stuff is always gorgeous- colorful but a bit sophisticated use of color. Amy Tangerine - I know people don't like her randomness but the bright colors and miscellaneous food and animals seem to go well with my boy scrapping. Shimelle is usually good, too. Again, I'm a bright color fan. Carta Bella - I love the texture of the paper. It is my absolute favorite to work with.
I actually like too many brands- that is why I'm drowning in scrapbook supplies.
Ones I usually skip: Doodlebug- Kawaii is cute but not me. I love their enamel shapes and washi, though. Echo Park- Again, too cutesy. Pinkfresh- I just don't get their aesthetic and I don't like their embellishments. I have too much of it, though, because of kit clubs. Graphic 45- Once in awhile they have a paper that I just have to have (flying pigs, Alice in Wonderland) but most of their stuff has way too much going on for me.
BoBunny is a hard one. Ninety five percent of their lines are really not my taste, but two of my favorite lines of all time are BoBunny. I have a hate, occasionally love relationship with them.
What brands do you love? Which ones are meh?

I'm not a brand person as a much as a color person. I also stay away from most brands that have more than one floral paper and almost all lines that have pastels, so that eliminates a lot of popular designers. It also depends on what I am scrapping. If I am scrapping my kids in elementary school, I use more of the cutesy papers. I can love a designer for one line and really dislike the next (Shimelle, for example). I find that PhotoPlay works for lots of my pictures as does Carta Bella and they really are quite different.
BoBunny has some awesome, lovely papers. I was organizing my winter papers and found my almost 1 inch thick stack of Snowfall. I still love that line and browns are generally not my jam.

I’ve cut WAY back on what I buy because so much was not getting used or inspiring me. So I’ve been getting rid of a lot. I stick to cocoa daisy kits because they consistently inspire me, doodlebug bevUse I love the cutesy, and say cheese by simple stories because I’m obsessed with all things Disney.

Big Vicki Boutin fan here...her stuff is just so versatile!
Love Heidi Swapp's scrapbook lines, in theory but I have yet to use one fully. This could totally be be and how I scrapbook but some of her papers are so beautiful that I feel like they should be on a wall or something. I want to do them justice.
Shimelle's collections are good too, can be go for kids or older subjects, just us a B side.
Love Pinkfresh and Pink Paislee, lots of their stuff is elegant (at least lately) and they have some unique color combos.
Cocoa Vanilla has been a new surprise find for me! They remind me of Basic Grey with less edginess. At least the boys rule collection does.
Big no from me is Graphic 45! So busy and overwhelming to my eyes I can't stand it!
Not a fan of bo bunny either, I used to be it's all the same. Course I feel like that about doodlebug too.

Echo Park, although it’s all starting to look the same...
Carta Bella for unique themes.
Jillibean Soup, although it’s hard to find sometimes.
I’m not an Amy Tan fan (the colors are too bold /contrasty and and I like color...) Graphic 45 (too pretty) and Doodlebug (too cutesy).

I'm drawn more to collections and themes than brands. It's usually because I have a lot of pictures to scrap like Halloween or I like the colors used in fall lines.
I like Echo Park boy lines. I use the B sides a lot. Same with Simple Stories. I like their fall collections. Carta Bella, I like Steve Duncan's lines for their fun, vintage feel.
I do like Graphic 45 for their B sides. Two collections I especially like are Little Women and Wizard of Oz.
I don't mind the randomness of lines like Amy Tangerine, but I'm likely to only buy one or two papers. I love Case of the Blahs from Pink Fresh. Just the embellishments. I think the papers in Indigo Hills are very pretty.
I haven't bought anything from Vicki Boutin or Shimelle. I really like her field trip collection, but then I look at what I already own and know it won't be a big deal if I don't buy it right away.
I buy most of my stuff on clearance, at warehouse sales, or on overstock sites. If the theme or colors match how I scrap, I'm content to use those first. I have to absolutely love new releases to buy them at full price.
ETA: Photoplay is one I forget to check more. I like them, depending on the line.

I tend to buy Pinkfresh Studio, Cocoa Vanilla Studio, Vicki Boutin, and Pretty Little Studio collections a lot. I've also really liked Heidi Swapp's recent collections. I haven't purchased Dear Lizzy or Amy Tan in a while. I used to buy them quite frequently.
I don't usually buy Simple Stories, Carta Bella, Echo Park, Photoplay, Graphic 45, Doodlebug, My Mind's Eye or Jillibean Soup. I do love Carta Bella's and Echo park's stencils, though. The past couple of years, I have really enjoyed Echo Park's summer lines. Love the bright colors.

My preference is white base and bold colors and high contrastI love the look of Doodlebug, but it’s limited in use due to overt cuteness, but their enamel shapes are irresistible. I have loved some past Graphic45, but in general it’s too vintage and busy. However, I do have that flying pig paper! Steve Duncan’s vintage style at Carta Bella is so enticing to me, but I find it hard to cut into. The cut apart sheets work better for me. Also, I always want every sheet of fall paper ever produced.
In general, most lines will carry something I like at some point. Like others, Bo Bunny is very hit or miss for me.

I usually buy pinkfresh (My absolute favorite these days), elle's studio and my mind's eye. From AC, I like pink paislee sometimes but not paige evans. Her stuff is too same for me. I love shimelle's lines but never the full line, just a few pieces.

I am all over the place and will buy something from almost any line except Graphic 45, Bo Bunny and Authentique because they are not my style and PhotoPlay because I don't think their colors match well enough within a collection and the border stickers are not 12 inches.

I'm not brand loyal at all.
I buy by color.
My younger kids have school uniforms, and most of their school-related photos have them wearing those two colors. When I find enamel dots or something in those colors I buy them.
I'm also theme oriented. TiVo see something that resonates with me, I'll pick it up.

Like - I use patterned paper as an embellishment & prefer classic patterns (e.g. plaids, stripes, dots) with white backgrounds. My favorite manufacturers are Echo Park, PhotoPlay, & Bella Blvd.
Skip - All other brands, especially those with vintage, distressed, cream-background, busy, &/or cutesy collections

I love some BoBunny, and some I have no interest in at all. Some of my favorite papers are BoBunny. I also love a lot of Graphic 45, but not all of it. Some is useless as far as I’m concerned.
I have bought papers from just about every company out there. I have come to realize that, just like BoBunny and G45, I love some and have no interest in others. It applies to every single company.
I like papers that coordinate, so I am less inclined to buy a kit or paper pad that has a wide variety that don’t coordinate well.

My current favorites are Pink Fresh, Pink Paisley, & some of the Crate Paper Lines. Notes & Things was my all-time favorite. There's some others I like but never get around to using like Maggie Holmes (too vintage for me), Dear Lizzy (too cutesy or something), & Shimelle, who I want to love but never seem too, so I've stopped buying any of their collections unless I know exactly what I'm going to do with it. I may pick up a piece of paper or an embellishment here or there. I forget to look at Elle Studio but she's got some cute things.
I surprised myself the other day and bought some pieces of Kaisercraft from their Enchanted collection. That was a first for me.
I am loving my CT kits. I like how bright and happy they are. There's only been one kit I didn't care for (the coffee themed one). I started subbing in January.
Digital wise, The Summer collection from Sahlin Studio is really lovely. I've been more into her collections lately.

I like Echo Park because they have good boy lines Love Simple Stories for Say Cheese and their travel lines Love, love Carta Bella because of the yummy texture and Stephen Duncan designs (just got a ton of the new baseball papers and embellishments) I like lots of Shimelle’s products. If the A side is too much pattern the B side is usually pretty versatile I find a lot of manufacturers are way too girly for how I scrap
edited because I forgot about Pinkfresh, I like a lot of what they are doing.

I never thought of myself as particularly brand loyal, but the three brands I consistently love are Graphic 45, Kaisercraft, and Stamperia. The last two are not US based, so their stuff is a bit harder to get ahold of, but I love what I do have!

I like the bright, retro and cute lines, my favourite manufacturer would probably be Doodlebug. I have bought a lot of the last few releases and The Cream and Sugar line is my favourite as I was and my husband still is involved in the coffee and cafe industry. I am also fond of a lot Echo Park, Carta Bella (especially the Steven Duncan lines), Bella Blvd and Simple stories. I have a son and a daughter but I do have a colour preference for the bubblegum pink, Teal and purple colour stories and patterns with unicorn, smiley faced food and glittered, holo everything....I know quite a lot of you are not fond of that stuff LOL but I love it. I avoid things from companies like Graphic 45, Bo Bunny and Tim Holtz, I just have no idea on how to use those patterns or colours.

I think Maggie Holmes is very pretty and I bought way too much of it before I realized I'm never going to use it much because it doesn't work well with boys and other things I scrap. Way too feminine.
I really like Crate Paper. They have a couple lines that are in my favorite of all time list.
I think Pink Paislee has been doing really interesting things with colors lately- lots of new color combinations. I love getting away from turquoise and pink. Paige Evans's collections look all the same. She scraps the exact same way and always has and they do really match her style. I like the bright colors.
Echo Park is usually good but they can get too cutesy, too. It is useful for boys but I don't love it. I do like their (and Carta Bella's) stencils.
Authentique is too retro but I've had a couple lines that I really loved. The texture is beautiful so I wish I liked more of it.
Kaisercraft's papers are a bit thin and foofoo but I've had papers I really liked. I love, love, love their wood shapes.
I do buy some Reminisce and Ella & Viv. I almost never buy a full line but there are pieces here and there that work really well for my lifestyle. I liked the beer line, the graffiti line, the music line, etc. The only thing I'm not thrilled with is the really shiny texture of the paper.
And I still use tons of Basic Grey (RIP). I am lucky I was an absolute hoarder of that paper. So, so gorgeous.

I see a lot of people have trouble using Graphic 45 and/or BoBunny. While I use BoBunny for both scrapbooking and card making, I usually use G45 just for card making.
For scrapbooking, I prefer smaller patterns, or more generic backgrounds. I am a sucker for diagonal plaids. If I see one, I buy it, regardless who makes it.
I also see a lot of companies using the trendy colors, but if those colors don’t coordinate with my photos, I am not as likely to buy it. I buy papers that I think I can use for both scrapbooking and card making.
So maybe our favorite companies tend to use patterns and colors that work well for our crafting?

Which brands of scrapbook products do you consistently like and buy a lot of? Which brands do you skip?
Vicki Boutin- She has become my number 1 go-to! I'm just afraid that all of my LO's will start looking the same after a while. LOL Pinkfresh Studio- I'm not usually a fan of their color pallets, but I had fun with Case of the Blahs, and think I will enjoy using the new travel line. Crate Paper Shimelle- Her stuff doesn't usually fit my style, but her new line has lovely bright colors. I can use a lot of it, even though I won't use a ton of the more themey items. Crate Paper Pebbles- Again, I like SOME of it. Pink Paislee- More my style in color pallets Jan Hatfield- I can use bits and pieces of her collections 1Canoe2- Like the colors, and large images on their papers. It's different than most designs. Simple Stories Cocoa Vanilla
Ones I usually skip:
Doodlebug- way too themey/cutesy for my style Echo Park- Same Bella Blvd- I love, love, LOVE Stephanie as a person. She is awesome! But, again, too themey/cutesy for me. Graphic 45- I just CAN'T. It is WAY too busy for my taste, and is even a little creepy...like the decor of a really old victorian house. LOL Dear Lizzy- Not a fan of the subjects, or color pallets. Amy Tan- Same Maggie Holmes- Same Carta Bella- too cutesy/distressed for my style BoBunny I have like a collection or 2, but it's mostly not my style. Also, having worked in the industry, I'm not a huge fan of the son of the creators.

I am very much drawn to luscious colors, printed chipboard that are more pictures than phrases, illustrations I am captivated by, and versatility. These are heavily influencing what I am buying the most of (but I buy many other brands too):
Crate Paper (I have loved their lines in the past, and their 12x12 chipboard for sure, but I am really sick of the current always-the-same handdrawn style and dusky muted colors. I don't know how much I'll keep buying if the colors remain dull and the graphics the same)
Carta Bella (Love the Steve Duncan illustrations so much, the weight/texture of their paper, and the gorgeous colors. Wish they had more chipboard, but I will take what I can get)
Shimelle (love the colors, the creativity, and the variety in sayings. Would like more chipboard and embellishments)
What I don't buy: Graphic45, BoBunny, I guess the style never clicks with me

I'm not a brand person as a much as a color person. ^^^ this is me, too- except for me it's not as much about the colors as it is about the theme or 'feel' of the designs and how well they go with my scrapping subjects. I do not do cutesy (unless it's dog/cat, but not so much there, even, either) so I don't like Doodlebug, a lot of Echo Park, etc. I don't do trendy so I don't buy much of anything that's too 'timely' because I might not even use the paper for a few years (or more, lol). My long-standing love of October Afternoon was misguided, because now when I look at some of it it's just too 'cutesy' for me to use; sadly, I must say that I feel the same way about some of Steve Duncan's designs when I see them- if they were even just a *teeny* bit more realistic / authentic looking, I would love to buy every piece of everything he designs. (I will buy some of the papers, just not for the icons; his cowboy/western line has some beautiful patterns- the 12x12 piece that looks like an Indian blanket?!? swoon!!) I don't have any favorite brand any more, if you're talking about paper companies or designers. I am decidedly a B-side scrapper, so I don't discriminate brand-wise, as long as the colors are clear, saturated, and the patterns are usable for my kind of scrapping-- even thickness of paper (or lack of it) doesn't bother me as much any more as it used to. (although those luscious Carta Bella textured papers are still wonderful to fondle, lol.) Now if you're talking about tools? My answer would have to be Creative Memories, still, after all these years.

I'm more about the stamps and dies vs the paper.
I love Marianne Design Dies, I have a collection of Tattered Lace, a lot of Tim Holtz dies, Lawn Fawn.
I go thru my phases..right now it's lawn fawn. I am buying up lawn fawn like no tomorrow. I have been thru Concord & 9th as well.
I have to say dies are my most favourite scrappy item. Ranger Ink products are my next thing and not just the ink, but the tools etc.

It's all about price for me.
I buy whatever I can find that's reasonably costed and useful for what I make. That means my supply is an utter hodgepodge of brands, but mostly unbranded and 'I have no idea what brand it might be' stuff (due to mostly shopping second-hand). If I had an unlimited budget and was inclined to spend it on new product, I'd probably go mostly with Marianne Designs and Elizabeth Crafts build-up style die sets. Dies are also my favourite thing to get.

Pink Paislee, especially Paige Evens, has been in every cart of mine for several months. Same with Pinkfresh. I buy many of the Jillibean and Bella Blvd, but for some reason I never really use them.
But even my "never buy" lines I sometimes buy, like Bo Bunny's Boulevard is so pretty. I even own one or two of the Graphic 45 lines. About the only thing I never every buy is the DCWV paper pads. I don't even really care for the more mainline designer's paper pads. Quality just isn't the same.
