I think it's fabulous! So last night I sat down to scrap my first layout in years. I had been watching YouTubes of scrapbooking but they were far too distracting so I searched for a SB podcast and I was so happy to see SJ has one now!
I started listening and boy, she inspires the heck out of me! Talking about family connections and wonderful stories (oh gosh, the one about her dad and Big Foot was great!). It was just the thing to listen to while I lost myself in my pretty papers and embellishments. Just her gentle voice and story telling about memory making and keeping.
Stacy came to my LSS back in the Library of Memories days and I found her to be a wonderful speaker. I remember the whole 'so there' fiasco thing and I thought people were WAY harsh on her. So she lost it, big whoop, who doesn't?
What podcasts do you listen to while you scrap? Are they SB related? I'm thinking if I try to listen to something too deep and involved I'd get too distracted and not pay attention to my scrapbooking as much, same way as I do when I try to watch YouTubes.

I can't listen to Stacy.
But I listen to Crafty Ass Female sometimes (hit or miss for me) and Adventures in Arting (same) and Pocket Talk.
Mostly I put on videos when I scrap though, I like to be able to look up and see what they're doing.

I’m a longtime Stacy fan. I was excited about this podcast but idk I think she over explains everything like she’s talking to a child. I still listen. I prefer when she has guests on. I do appreciate her enthusiasm.
Adventures in Arting & Scrapbook Your Way are the other crafty podcasts I listen to right now. Pocket Talk was a favorite but she hasn’t done an episode in a long time.
Otherwise I’ve been listening to bookish podcasts a lot lately. Sarah’s Bookshelves Live (my fav) and Currently Reading podcast.

I am really enjoying the Scrapbook Your Way podcast. As for other podcasts, I am a huge big brother fan so I listen to those sometimes but I mostly put on a TV show or movie.

I've always thought that Stacy Julian has some wonderful ideas, and that she's very insightful. I do listen to some of the episodes of her podcast. That being said, I can't listen to her for long. As Citygirl said, she does tend to over-explain things, and she does talk as if she's speaking to a child. She can be way too ... animated ... for me. I also found that when she was a guest on PRT, she would inevitably take over the conversation because she just couldn't control herself.

I like to put on Hallmark romances which barely take any brain power to watch, especially since I've seen almost all of them dozens of times. When I'm cardmaking (which doesn't involves as many words as my scrapping) I listen to an audiobook or a podcast. There are tons of general and specific interest pods I like but many of them are not-safe-for-work because I'm bad, so I hesitate to recommend them to people I don't know have the same filthy mind as me! I haven't found any crafty pods I could listen to, for various reasons. I also have trouble finding YT videos that are interesting enough to listen to but not so interesting that I actually end up not getting any work done. If I'm really trying to work hard and get things done I find music more energizing and less distracting.

I’m easily distracted by noise, so I don’t listen to podcasts while I scrap (I like to scrap in silence really). BUT, I do listen while I’m running, cleaning, or driving for 30 minutes or more. I listen to Scrapbook Your Way, Stacy’s podcast, Inkie Chat (with Inkie Quill, but it’s been a while since they had a new one), and WDW Prep to Go (Disney podcast). Amy Tan has one, but I haven’t listened yet.

I listen to Big Brother podcasts while I organize my room, too. Do you listen to Rob Has A Podcast and Taran's daily updates? I barely have time for any other podcasts these days, lol. I especially love the Roundtable episodes. For scrapbooking, I listen to Pocket Talk sometimes. I also listen to old Paperclipping episodes I downloaded a long time ago - I'm happy I did, because they're all gone from itunes now. I wish I had downloaded more, I only have a dozen - mainly the ones with Ali Edwards, Cathy Zielske, and Heidi Swapp, they were my favourite guests. Oh, I also have a Tim Holtz one.

Their coverage is insane and yes...it takes up almost all of my podcast time during the summer. Ha! Just yesterday, I bought a ticket to their live event in NYC in 9/12. I can’t wait to go.

I'm hopping around to different YTers, discovering Victoria Marie and last night it wast RTS? RT something scrapping. She has great ideas and stuff that I'd forgotten about so it's helping me clear out the brain cobwebs but again, I keep stopping scrapping to watch and it's taken me two nights to complete a two page layout but...it's done so that's a win!

I am glad they got rid of Brian Lynch, he wasn't my favourite - he got a bit too upset at times. I'm jealous you're going to see them! I'll listen to the live show when it uploads, maybe I'll hear you in the audience I'd love to hear about the reality people you meet!!

I couldn't find any trace of Noelle except for a Yoga website where she's listed as an instructor from 2017. She got quite sick which is why they quit Paperclipping, apparently - at least that's what she said on the short announcement she made when she quit. It's too bad, I really miss their podcast, she had great guests on it.

A couple of years ago they downsized from their big house to an apartment and I know their daughter left dance due to injury. I think she left home for university in the last year, but I have no idea what is going on with their boys. I missed out on downloading their back catalog on Paperclipping.com due to getting ready for an overseas move, and I've regretted that I can't access a few of those videos. I also miss the podcast - it was a sad day when I went to listen to an old episode only to find they had been removed I wonder if they still have that content and would ever be willing to sell it again?

Oh wow, I hadn't even heard that she had been ill. That's a shame they had to downsize..I always wondered about their job situation. I guess I'm not naturally an entrepreneurial sort to take a risk on something like a podcast for my primary source of income.
I'm finding I'm missing my old catalog of Big Picture Classes videos. I know they warned us but I didn't bother and now I'm seriously kicking myself. So hearing people miss PRT in the same manner has me shocked they aren't resurrecting all this old archived stuff again. I'd pay a reasonable fee for a reactivation of sorts. There was amazing content out there.
I'm just grateful all those years of Garden Girl videos are still up on YouTube.

Sad to hear that their daughter had to give up dancing. I thought she was on her way to becoming a pro. Hopefully she found another path when she had to change her plans. I think their whole lives changed after giving up PRT and moving and with the kids getting older. It seemed like they were just really burned out and needed a new path and I was happy for them that they seemed to be excited to make such a big change. Teaching yoga is probably a lot more holistically nourishing for Noelle. I can understand why they pulled all the content after a time. It was probably very expensive to keep it online, even if some people would've been willing to buy it. And I think that would feel like an obligation from an old life hanging over them as they started a new life, if you know what I mean? Maybe a pressure to reconsider their choice? It's a shame that the podcast couldn't have been kept available, since it was always free. But I'm sure there are costs and obligations that we don't know about and I can understand the need for a clean break. Sad for those who missed out though.

BTW the podcast Armchair Expert has interesting interviews. I've only listened to a few of my favorite people so far but some have been really great - Fred Savage talking about his career, so interesting! And Julia Louis-Dreyfus had some fascinating stories too. There's some swearing, but not a lot, and it's usually appropriate, not f-ing every other f-ing word! It's just about the cleanest thing I listen to actually >.<

Fred Savage talking about his career, so interesting! I had a slight crush on him. I loved The Wonder Years.
I've only listened to the first season of Serial and I'm currently listening to Small Town Murder. It's two comedians and a lot of foul language.

He's SO NICE, really personable, and just interesting to listen to. I think a lot of people had a crush on him but he seemingly never let it go to his head. His second career as a director is pretty interesting.

I wish I had downloaded the PRT episode that I was on with Ali Edwards. It was called "Facts and Feelings." If anyone has it, could you please PM me? I really enjoyed doing that, and I really miss PRT.

I really enjoyed doing that, and I really miss PRT. I had that one downloaded, I just listened to it last week. Unfortunately, it automatically deleted after I listened to it - I'm so annoyed - I've since changed my settings to manually delete listened-to episodes. Was that the episode about scrapbooking special needs children? If so, I really enjoyed it. My son has several diagnoses, and it was nice to hear everyone's perspective about documenting them. Is there any way we can share the podcasts? I still have a few downloaded on Overcast, which is the podcast app I use.

The Podcasts app that comes on iPhone still allows me to listen to all the Paperclipping Roundtable episodes. I just tried several to be sure. I had never downloaded them, and while it was still on, I never listened in this app, I used Downcast. So it should be available to everyone, I think?
ETA: I take it back - it only allows me to play certain episodes. Now I’m really sad. I should have downloaded them all when they were still available.

It gives me hope that you can play them, I'll keep trying. Edited to add: I managed to get one from Jan. 6, 2010 to download and play, but none from 2015/2016, those all said unavailable. Strange.
