ABCreations, I wonder if there is a limit to what you can add. It won't let me add the code at the end..or any other letters. That's ok though. I'm just so happy to have the turtles back. Thank you!

nylene- A package for me??? I am excited and thanks in advance. As for the couch, I am looking for something tan but would love a fun color like sky blue. Since, we don't buy couches to often the tan will work. (Boooo!) LOL! It's gonna be another hot day but I think things should be cooling off this week. I haven't heard from my crocheting group yet but they probably will start again as it cools off. I miss that little group. joyfulnana- That Sunday traffic sounds tough. But at least your team is so good now. That Mahomes kid at qb is amazing. I watched some of his game last Sunday. I think I am a fan! :)I thought it was cute when they showed his mom wearing a jersey that said, "Quarterback Producer!" LOL! @abcreations- Thanks for stopping by my blog. Your new wreath sounds fun. I made one a few years ago for Fall and I gotta find it and put it up. THANKS for reviving our sweet little turtle! Waving hi to you all and have a good afternoon!

nylene, I’m sorry to hear that they were all cancerous. I hope they can get them all quickly. Ugh to the mammo. I have to get one scheduled too. ABCreations, I could kiss you! I can’t wait to get home and get my jumping turtle back. Thank you so much!!! justjac, I’m sorry you can’t do the play this fall. Will you be volunteering in other areas (backstage)? Or just taking some time to relax and work on other endeavors? Yes, making food does take a lot of time. DS is doing quick meals for him and DD right now while I’m at the farm with the movers. Yesterday DH had a work dinner so DS was in charge of that too. He’s told me 2 days in a row now that he misses me in the same breath as “making food takes up a lot of time”. 😂 joyfulnana, where was Rudy? You had said it was quiet without him. Is he back to making your life interesting? Movers are here. The house is done. The shed is done. Just a few more hours of outside stuff tomorrow. I’m heading home tomorrow, probably before they’re finished. DS said this afternoon that his allergies might be upgrading to the cold. He gets high fevers and usually vomits due to the drainage with just a simple cold due to his unusually small sinuses (thanks to the 360 imaging during braces we know that fact about his sinuses). They’ll be at the new place for unloading on Thursday. Thankfully DH is able to be home that day. Off to shower away the day of dust, find something to nibble and hopefully get to bed early. 😴

Sorry, Pokeys, for being MIA. Yes, nylene, I have been busy. Arrived home last Wednesday late afternoon. Then Saturday, dd and dgs arrived with our new puppy, so most of the weekend was spent with them. And the garden needs to be harvested. Sunday dd helped pick the corn. Today dh and I dug a couple of rows of potatoes and dug the rest of the carrots. But I was also out of action for a few days b/c of my gut again. Ended up in hospital Thursday. My regular dr was planning on sending me home Saturday (I had been feeling okay from Friday morning on and tolerating food and drink) but I guess he didn't write it down in his orders, so the replacement dr decided to keep me over the weekend. She did let me home on day passes both Saturday and Sunday so I was able to spend time with the kids and the puppy. Sunday evening I drove myself back to the hospital after putting Kandi in for the night, so when I was released on Monday I could just drive myself home. You are having a busy week, LisaDV! So much work to get all that stuff organized and loaded and on its way, and then there will be another flurry of effort getting it situated in your new home. I missed the details of this. Are you still leaving some things out at the farm so you can use it as a vacation home/getaway? Or are you clearing it all out? Enjoy your time without all the "work of cooking". Hope your ds's cold does not get any worse. I hope that the your dh will not have too many more skin removals, nylene, and that they are able to "get it all" at each site. Good luck with your mammogram. Mine was thankfully clear this past July. That is 25 years for me! As follow up for my hospital stay I have an appointment with my regular dr on Monday morning. We are going to discuss having me referred to a GI specialist. That probably means there will be a colonoscopy sometime in my future. Oh yay! Your on line crops with family sound really fun, joyfulnana! I am not sure where I would put a camera in here so it could see anything over all the piles of scrappy clutter! I haven't scrapped since I was in BC. Printed pic's on the way home. Had planned to stop at a LSS to check out their moving sale, but was already feeling crappy by Wednesday morning when I would have done that, so I let that one go. Don't think I have a huge shortage of "stuff" anyway LOL. I did print my sketch for next Monday's Sketchtember challenge, found the pic's I wanted to use, and selected the papers. Shouldn't take long for it all to come together when I get some time again. Probably Friday morning. I also have a card to produce for Tuesday's CARDtober, but I have a mood board picked out, some supplies found, and a couple of options for how I will do the final product. You were asking about LOAD. It starts over at ScrapHappy on October 1st. I won't be doing all the prompts--and certainly not on time--but its always fun to go through their Gallery. Lots of design ideas there and I love getting a birds' eye view of the parts of their lives they share. kellyr21 I am still meaning to get over to your blog. I did have my iPad with me in the hospital, but the internet was pretty slow. I hope the weather cools down for you soon and that you find a tan couch you really love. And that the crafting group gets together soon so you can get on with your creative projects. I, like Nylene, get a sense of calm from my crafting. I feel like it gives me the opportunity to reflect on what has happened, enjoy the memories, and also to look forward to the future. When I am not scrapbooking or card making, I am thinking about what I COULD do or WILL do when time and opportunity arise. I have been taking pic's of my dgk's going through the scrapbooks, and I want to do a LO using those photos. They love seeing themselves and their cousins in the books. I missed the info about your not being chosen for a part this fall, justjac. That's too bad. I hope you can stay involved with the theatre production in some way again. Cooking at home does take time and/or a little prep work. But once you get into the routine it will be easier. And not having to be committed as much to the play may be a good thing. It is hard to have "home cooked meals" when you are flying in the door after work, changing clothes, and heading out for the evening. My ddil Nic has it down to a science I think. She can whip in the door and by the time she is out again in an hour has whipped up a healthy meal for 4 or more people. She uses her slow cooker a lot, but also her convection oven. One of her secrets is keeping a ready supply of fresh herbs in the fridge, so everything tastes special even if it was put together in a hurry. Okay, enough of a novel. I will email a pic of Kandi (my puppy) to myself so I can post it here. She is a delightful energetic sweet dog. Smart and willing to try things. She loves her kennel (it is 20x20 feet) and her ball and walks around the yard. Good thing my knees are behaving. Four walks around our big farm yard every day!

grammadee, I’m so sorry to hear you were in the hospital again. Glad you’re home and doing a bit better. Was this another gall bladder episode or another gut episode? Either way don’t envy you the colonoscopy in your future. Please take care! - we have left most of the actual furniture at the farm and have taken most of the stuff. A good chunk was just my craft room. But Don has quite the supply of tools and outdoorsy things as well. We will go through the stuff and decide here, there, keepsake save, goodwill or trash. Good thing the new place has the space.

ABCreations , thank you so much for those codes. All of mine show up on my posts except the one at the top of this page. Funny. Other posts on pages 1 & 2 show all three. We'll see if they all show up on this post. You are a computer wizard! How is life going at your home? kellyr21 , I will put the tracking number in a PM to you. The little package should arrive Friday or Monday. My micro fiber couch is tan and I have enjoyed it. But I always tend toward neutrals. My DD offered to come paint our bedroom on the condition that it is not white. She thinks I have too much white. LOL grammadee , I am so sorry you were in a bad way again. Being in the hospital is no fun. I chuckled at your taking day trips from the hospital and driving yourself home. You are incredible. Congrats on getting your Kandi home. I'm sure you will enjoy the new family member. She is so cute. LisaDV , how have you been able to get all that done? I hope the rest of the packing goes well. I laughed at "how much time it takes to cook". I think that's what I hate about cooking. Much time spent preparing and eating it all in 10 minutes and then there is clean up....and it goes on and on and on every day! Can you tell I hate to cook? We are expecting a big rainstorm and cold temps over the weekend. We had planned to do a major job of cutting back our bushes on Sat. I think DH is thinking about starting today instead. We have had several really hard rains this summer and our new drains have held well, so no more swimming pools in the carport and water in the basement. We hope they hold this weekend too. ETA: Ahhh, the last badge finally showed up on the top of this page. Thank you so much, ABCreations!

awe, my keyboard and my desktop. sweet angels singing.... I know it sounds funny and dorky, but it's so true. I arrived home about 3 hours ago, was attacked by the dogs who wanted attention, then hugged the boy, went to the girl's bedside where the cat was and the dogs jumped up and all 3 animals would not let the girl get her hug in for a bit. DD started getting the sore throat this morning. . DS has not been vomiting but was up at 2am last night and didn't sleep afterwards, he did his online class portion of 2 classes today but has been really just been resting as per my instructions. Thankfully he seems a bit better than usual. I have my car which was packed to the brim, of course, unloaded. Now to do a quick pick up of this house since I've been gone 2 weeks. I can't wait to come back and try out those codes, ABCreations. grammadee, Kandi is adorable!! I want to come play with her!

Happy Wednesday! Today is a good day and I hope it is one for you too. I have been working on that painting I started this Summer. I will post some pictures of my progress. I can't wait to see how it turns out. grammadee- Oh, so happy to hear you are back on your feet and better. Prayers out for you and your tummy. But I know that sweet new dog will be good for you. So cute! She is gonna love living with you all on the farm. I would too! LOL! Glad you were able to harvest all your veggies. LisaDV- Hooray! You are all moved in. A lot of work but hopefully you all will feel more settled and more relaxed. What is one of your favorite things about your new house? nylene- Oh thanks! I will keep my eyes open. I have been using Amazon Prime a lot this month so I am getting packages and it is fun. Stay safe with this cold storm coming your way. Waving hi to you all and have a good evening!

Sometimes we have to wait for the ProBoards servers to reset themselves, not all servers reset at the exact same intervals so it could be anywhere from as little as 15 minutes or less up to 24 hours or more for signature images to appear. Life at my home is great! I tried out my new CC Guillotine and I am in love!!! ♥♥♥♥♥

grammadee I'm glad you're home and that you got day passes on the weekend. That pic of your puppy with DD and DGS is wonderful. I actually didn't even audition for the play. Once of the performances is the same day Dean and I have tickets to see a show in Edmonton. LisaDV that also means I can't help out back stage which is a bummer. Congratulations on getting your move done! nylene it's cold and rainy here, too. kellyr21 I can't wait to see your painting. ABCreations I think I need that trimmer. I print 13x19 occasionally and the only way I have been able to cut it is with a craft knife. Thanks so much for the badges. I will have to try them out.

Sorry for being AWOL again -I spent a week whipping my house into shape for my sister and BIL's visit (they were here Sun-Tues) and then we had the visit (so much fun - we went to 4 different local parks to hike and explore) and then yesterday we had to take one of my cats to the vet an he got admitted. This morning we got the call that treatment wasn't working and we needed to come in and say goodbye to our sweet Smokey He was our youngest kitty - only 9 - so this was sudden and unexpected (we have two elderly cats - 16 and 17 - and it wouldn't have been so shocking with one of them) but kidney failure is like that. I'm just sad and numb today.

Happy Friday! I am wishing you all a great day. Here is a picture of my new art in Step 1. I love the mix of warm and cool colors. The messy background is one of my favorite art things to do. No rules, no thought just playing and experimenting. So stay tuned for the next picture of the next step. It is really coming to life now.

kellyr21 , that looks so good! I love seeing your steps in making your art. Can't wait for step 2. Beautiful faces. LisaDV, I just read on another thread that you have shared the cold with the whole family. I am so sorry you are all under the weather when you have so much you would like to get done. Boxes can wait. Take care of yourselves. Hugs for each of you.

LisaDV , I just read on another thread that you have shared the cold with the whole family. I am so sorry you are all under the weather when you have so much you would like to get done. Boxes can wait. Take care of yourselves. Hugs for each of you. Yes, LisaDV , please look after yourself. Spend the day wrapped up in blankets watching movies and drinking hot tea. (Even if you have to do that with the smaller TV). Those boxes will still be there when you have the energy to deal with them. Dh and I both have colds. He seems to be feeling his more than I am mine. I have a scratchy throat and an annoying cough and my sinuses are beginning to clog up again. His seems to have gone straight to his chest, as usual. Dh slept in this morning, so I have been doing some quiet organizing in the kitchen, taking all the jars of preserves downstairs and stowing them away in the cold room (which of course needed to be sorted out, too). Taking a coffee break, then need to take the rest of the clutter that should be stored down there to where it lives for the winter (the bag sealer and bags, the extra jar lids and pectin, various canning vessels and equipment). If I didn't hate cleaning and organizing so much I would do it more often and then the clutter wouldn't get to critical mass like it has now and it wouldn't be such a big job... But I know me, and I know that once my house has been whipped into shape I will ignore it again until it becomes a huge job again. Sigh! The sun is shining for the first time in days, so I want to take Kandi out for a play session. First thing in the morning we did our trek around the yard, but at that time it is all business for her and for me: she wants to get back for her breakfast, and I crave my morning coffee. Mid day is when she really loves to play, rain or shine. I prefer to play in the sunshine, so should spend a little extra time with her today. Have a wonderful weekend, Pokeys!

LisaDV - take it easy and look after yourself - I hope all of you are feeling better soon grammadee - I hope you and DH are feeling better soon too. I don't mind organising - I'm not overly fond of cleaning though - but one can't really organise someone else's mess and that aspect frustrates me. I hear you on the cycle of getting the house clean and tidy and then having to tackle it again because it doesn't stay that way. I deepcleaned everything in June before DS came home on leave and then spend over a week doing it again this month. At least we get rid of clutter each time. I'm scrapping this weekend - trying to play catchup with the sketches...

Thanks for the well wishes. I'm feeling much, much better. I still have a cough, but the sore throat and almost all of the congestion is gone. hurray. Unfortunately, DS struggles so much with colds (those darn tiny nasel passages) and DD got hit with the worst last night, so she is struggling. I did find some cold tablets that she could take - no artificial dyes!! yeah. grammadee, I hope you and your DH will feel better soon. My DH, & to a lesser extent DS, struggle with colds getting in their chest. That is no fun at all. Hope your DH can kick it out quickly. Just the idea of being out playing with the puppy makes me smile. Linda, I was hoping to get to some sketches today, but laundry, a quick store run (DH wanted frozen custard from the custard shop which wasn't the closest group of stores to go to), lunch, and then DS needed some mom time has taken most of my day. I may have lost my mojo now.

Misery loves company so I will chime in with my complaints. Not sure what to call it...something between a cold and the flu Today is the 10th day I've had fever and cough. All I've done is sit in recliner or lay on the couch. Dd is here with her dogs but fortunately she is able to do most of their care. And so far no one else has caught it. "Wash your hands" is the biggest conversation here. Hope all you other sick ones are better soon!

grammadee , I am sorry you and DH are not feeling well. I hope it runs its course quickly for you. Your adventures with your new puppy sound great. My DD and I went to the big Pebbles in My Pocket 25th Anniversary sale this a.m. It is now owned by Echo Park so has a lot of both companys' stock. We had a great time shopping and stood around waiting for the drawing for a prize every hour. Em won the whole line of Carta Bella Christmas Market, with a binder and everything. We had lunch together and were just a block from Pebbles, so we dropped in for the next drawing. No luck that time. You have to be present to win, but they are giving away a Silhouette and you don't have to be present to win that. Em's hoping one of us wins that so she will have a Silhouette. It was fun. 20% off everything in the store and free cookies and water bottles. It was a festive feeling. I have missed real stores! I'm glad EP has bought this store and turned it into a GREAT place to shop. ETA: Oh, @elaynef, I am sorry you are sick too. Yours sounds like what I had and it was 10 days of just doing nothing but having coughs and aches. Hang in there, sweet friend. I like the "wash hands" slogan at your house. I hope you don't share with anyone else.
