I so hope this is the end of the very long road that you've been on. No one can ever say that you don't have tenacity or perseverance. Heal and reap your reward! Thank you for that positive thought, but this surgery was just to stop the pain from the bone on bone in my socket (because those fat grafts got reabsorbed). The surgery worked for now, so that awful broken bone feeling is gone. I'm freshly filled with a ton of fat from this graft. They took so much that I have on a binder on my tummy for a while. DH told me that my surgeon has a few more surgeries planned so we could get to the finish line, but I might tap out if the pain subsides. I can't keep doing this surgery thing. I'm just really sore and my tummy lipo area is very sore, but I'm okay. On bedrest for 2 weeks. Thank you all for your sweet words!!! Thank you jenjie, for posting an update!!! I'll pop back on and catch up when I'm allowed!! Xo

So glad to hear from you in person! Bed rest is harder than it sounds. Pea often. We’ll be happy to keep you company. Wishing you a speedy recovery.

I'm glad to hear everything went okay. It must be a huge relief to have that pain gone!

Thank you again, Peas!! I'm really touched by the kindnes and suport here. Makes me truly smile!!!! Thankful for having met jenjie and for having her update my status--she rocks. Still pretty sore today, but no eye patch (long story). My tummy graft actually hurts more than the surgery on my Eye! Trying to take it easy... Reading here helps (when I'm allowed). Hope everyone is doing well. I go for my follow-up on Wednesday to see what's next. Busy gearing up to fight for DH tomorrow--his primary Dr just denied any testing set up at Moffitt this week. Unreal!!!

Call the Moffitt DR's office first thing in the morning and let them know.
Your DH is seeing a surgeon recommended by a well known urologic/oncology/cancer surgeon from the Rutgers CINJ, Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School here!

Your DH is seeing a surgeon recommended by a well known urologic/oncology/cancer surgeon from the Rutgers CINJ, Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School here! I will start there. Thanks!! We were psyched to follow Dr. Poch's recomendations right now, but DH'S negligent doctor said, "Oh, I only approved ONE visit there!!" Unreal!! Meanwhile this is his primary doctor who could have killed him by doubling his heart meds for weeks by mistake!!!! DH has to dump her and see what Moffitt says to do!! Unreal to have this thrown at DH when I'm not okay, but they made a quick radiology appt with this crappy radiology place here (Excel) who has made numerous mistakes with my imaging before. Ugh!! Thanks for the advice.
