For those that have cut the cord is there a way to watch the new season besides the CBS All Access? Right now I can get CBS over the air. I have a Fire TV Recast so I can record it and watch it if I'm not home to watch live. If I move or bump my antenna and lose CBS then I'm going to get CBS All Access. That's helpful? Are there other options to record live TV?

I went with the Recast because they had a good price on it on Prime Day and I have the Fire sticks so I can cast to the sticks to watch it on the tv's that have the sticks. I think CBS is available on Youtube TV, so depending on how committed you are to your streaming service, you could always switch to that. Or watch it a couple of days later on CBS.com.

(And it should have been "That's helpful!") We haven't fully cut the cord yet but have Netflix, Hulu, Prime and Google chrome cast.

I'm on a Survivor FB forum. Both Rob and Amber ARE competing in the all-winners season. So is Sandra. Confirmed. I wonder if we're in the same forum. Survivor whispers premiere? I'm in The Tribe Has Spoken. Small (just hit 5000) but the founder gets excellent links to the foreign versions of the show, which is fabulous. Busy chat too.

I very much Hate the premise for this season of Survivor. I can't stand Rob or Sandra. They've been on numerous times and have such big egos (Rob more than Sandra). And then to have those huge Tiki heads in their images-oh my gosh! Let's just inflate Rob's enourmous ego even more, why don't you Survivor staff? The idea of them mentoring new players is a joke! New players don't need mentoring! That's the fun part of the game-watching them figure out the best strategy for themselves and seeing how they apply it. Why did they ever come up with this idea? Remember the old saying "if it ain't broke, don't fix it." By trying to come up with more and more new ideas for the game they are in danger of ruining it. Survivor works because it's the perfect game just as it is. Let's get back to the basics and I bet the fans will be happier.
I was set to skip this season entirely even though I've watched every single season and episode not just once, but twice. But I've got to give it a chance because I love Survivor so much. So I'm going to give it a try.
Season 40-I think that's the right number, the next one after this, with all the winners competing sounds interesting. As far as cast goes my favorite is all new players, then all returning players. I very much dislike a mixture of new players and some returning players. I think the returning players have an unfair advantage and grab most of the screen time.

The following season has already been filmed, so the cast lists are out there. I suspect Rob and Sandra were “must haves” for the following season, and this was a way to pay them a lot more money than the other cast members.
I don’t mind this so much. The rest of the cast looks really good. Rob and Sandra aren’t going back to the production camp at night - they are roughing it on their own island, so I like that they are at least surviving. They will teach and test the survivors who come to them each week.
