I get the impression that Baron doesn’t like the spotlight. Also, I read that they didn’t even announce Trump’s arrival. Perhaps they suspected he wouldn’t get a warm welcome and didn’t want to expose Baron to that. Of course, it surprises me that Trump went anywhere he wasn’t able to ensure he was surrounded by adoring cult members. But I still appreciated social media making jokes about Gaetz playing the part of Trump’s son. Even though Baron might not have wanted to go, what about Don Jr or Eric?

If they didn't announce it before was it just a coincidence that the veteran's group was there with impeachment banners? How lucky! Talk about being at the right place at the right time. When was the last time anyone saw Melania? Maybe she is hard at work on the Christmas decor planning for the White House. Should be interesting to see what they come up with this year.

Doesn't Trump have some grandchildren? You would think that one of them might like to go the baseball game. Do these children ever interact with their grandfather?

I saw something a day or two ago about it, because it was already being discussed that the first pitch would be thrown out by one of his critics while he was there. So of course they didn’t bring the toddler in until after that so he wouldn’t get his itty bitty feelings hurt 🙄. But I am surprised that there wasn’t some big announcement and everyone being expected to bow or hail him or some such nonsense.

I don’t follow baseball at all so didn’t hear about him going to a game. True about a prime spot for the impeachment banner group. Good for them!

I don’t think he really interacts with his youngest son in a typical father-son manner. Can’t imagine him playing the doting grandfather type to his grandkids.

Marla took Tiffany away from the area. Ivana says she raised the kids, without much help.

I’m pretty sure I saw Melania with him at the game.

Did the veterans with the sign get kicked out? I remember a recent game where a political sign got a baseball fan kicked out of the stadium. I’m just curious. I hope not. Maybe that was a stadium-specific policy.

Because the NBA has recently at least made people get rid of their signs supporting Hong Kong IIRC, don’t remember if they were kicked out.

There were discussions about him being at game 5 if the series went that far, so I think it was generally known ahead of time that he would be attending.

The signs were all over. Behind home plate, hanging on the railings in the upper decks etc...

That would be direct, first-hand knowledge.

Which, IMO, is just reprehensible (or deplorable, if you prefer). I think Trump has also already been calling him a 'never-Trumper' despite the fact that he's never, ever said a THING in public about Trump not being able to handle the office, etc.

I read part of his planned intro, and he's a true patriot. The Republicans risk a lot by trying to smear him. He's devoted his life to protecting the United States. Let them try.
