Dash @ Target
Anyone else have this? It is so cute! Tiny - makes 4 inch or so waffles. I read about it on Keto forums for making Chaffles, but DD13 loves waffles and this is so much easier for her to use. She will be able to make her own now, and it doesn't take up too much space leaving it out on the counter, which I couldn't do with our other hotel-DIY style one. The reviews are really good. DD made some waffles this morning - turned out great! Was $10 at Target. They also have it on Amazon for a bit more.

Are you on the Keto Chafflehouse FB page? There are some crazy folks there. I have the dash that makes the 4 small squares but I had that before the chaffle craze. Amazon has doubled their price of the mini dash I heard.

I have one and have used it to make regular waffles, it’s great! It won’t feed a crowd but it is perfect for 1-2 people.

That is really cute if I didn't have a regular sized one and a Belgian waffle maker I would be tempted. They had one a while back that made heart shaped ones and I was really tempted to get it. I am a kitchen appliance junkie - well I was I've had these for years.

I haven't even gotten a Dash yet, and don't have another waffle maker, so I guess I'm just there out of curiosity. There are lots of creative recipes there!

I don't have the waffle maker, because I don't eat waffles.
I have the Dash mini griddle and I love it. I make one scrambled egg, one fresh baked toll house(I freeze the dough cubes)...this is fun to use to make a homemade pizookie, one pancake, heat up an individual portion of grilled vegetables, etc..
I also have the Dash mini grill(it's like a tiny George Forman). I like it, but don't love it. It takes longer to thoroughly cook a hamburger. I use my George Forman instead(then I cook two and have leftovers for the next night).

I’m a kitchen gadget junk it too. I’m not a fan of waffles though. I can’t eat doughnuts or pancakes either. They all taste great, but they all leave my stomach feeling like I have a big rock in there. I have no idea why, but I always feel sick after eating them. And it isn’t the sugar. I can eat cookies or chocolate with the best of them. And now that I think of it, cake bothers my stomach too. And that is probably a good thing since I have weight to lose. But those are awfully darned cute.

I live under a rock and had no idea what a "chaffle" is. That little waffle maker is cute but I'm going to drag out our Star Wars waffle maker and make Death Star Chaffles! Perfect for my diabetic son.

I'm not sure how we jumped on the Dash bandwagon but we have the waffle maker, rice maker and the hot pot and the egg cooker. The best thing is the mini maker griddle. We have 2 for sweet and savory.
My kids use them more in the mornings to make hi protein breakfasts before morning practices.

It sounds like a win. Anything that helps a child be more self-reliant in the kitchen is great.
I never heard of a Chaffle before. I think I'm going to have to try to make them.
With the smaller size waffles you can make ice cream sandwiches.

I bought one recently to make Chaffles as well but haven’t tried it yet. Trim healthy mama just came out with a recipe that is lighter so I am going to try that soon.

I need one of these! I use eggs and cream cheese. Has anyne tried both the cream cheese waffles and the chaffles made with mozzarella? I'm wondering which one is better?

I caved and bought it when it was on sale, using Urvashi Pitre's affiliate link (she is twosleevers.com) because I love her so much.... But then when it came and I saw how small it is, plus by then I'd come to my senses and remembered that I already have a waffle maker than makes more than one at a time... -- Anyway, I sent it back. And I have yet to make chaffles in my regular waffle maker. However, I just sent a request to join that Chafflehouse group so maybe I'll finally make some. lol

Great ideas, thanks! I will look up that Keto Chafflehouse FB page.
I tried my first chaffle yesterday with an egg white, cheddar cheese and a little coconut flour. It was decent. I've been missing avocado toast, so I made avocado toast with that. I see there are many variations to make these including mozzarella cheese or cream cheese, I'm going to keep working to find the combo that works for me.

Also, it’s $10!! What do you have to lose? That price is cheaper than two fancy coffee drinks!

Well if the peas jump on the chaffle craze before anyone asks. These are made with cheese and eggs. Do not be surprised if it tastes a bit like, well, cheese and eggs. Season, season, season.

I've been missing avocado toast, so I made avocado toast with that. I made avocado toast with one made with just cheese, pepperoni layer and another cheese layer.

My favorite basic recipe is as follows: This makes 2 mini chaffles 1 tablespoon almond flour 1 egg 1/2 teaspoon baking powder 1/2 c shredded mozzarella
Mix 1st three ingredients + 1/4 c cheese(I use my bullet)
Sprinkle cheese on hot dash, spoon approximately 1 1/2 TB batter on grill, sprinkle some cheese on top, close and cook 4 minutes.
The sprinkle of cheese adds a nice crunch. And yes, season to taste. This is the basic recipe. I think the addition of the almond flour keeps it from being egg and cheese!
