So much love and so many hugs!
I can’t wait to see it all put together!
I love the suggestion up thread of putting the larger one on the back. Or, can you maybe use it as the center front and build around it?

Good for you! I understand why YOU had to be the one to do it, not send it to someone else. It has been 18 years for me and I've been remarried for nearly 12 years.
I have a quilt project too but the biggest reason I haven't is too many other projects and not enough time. At one time, before I met him, my late DH was a bartender and saved all those Crown Royal pouches. He thought it would make a great quilt and hoped to find someone to make one for him. He was thrilled to know that I had been sewing all my life and could do it. Unfortunately, we were too busy trying to make a living AND taking care of his parents for a while. We only had 8 years together and just as we were getting to a point where I could start working on it, he died.
But, some day, I WILL make that quilt. I'm so glad that you are at that some day. You've taken the first step, you CAN do this!

Enjoy the reflections of your life as you make your quilts! They will be treasured by you and your DD!
