Really, a lot of the things posted here are people patting themselves on the back for annoying or inconveniencing others. I'd just rather save my energy for something that actually matters.

Whenever there is a sign that says 'Do not step on the grass', we make sure just to touch it I have a collection of photos of me and DH crossing barriers. (Obviously nothing dangerous, and we wouldn't damage anything, it's usually in stately homes like St Michael's Mount where they put prickly plants on the chairs to stop you sitting on them.)

I like rainbows and have resented how the LGBTQ movement has made that their symbol. So I was ordering a travel umbrella on Amazon and there were about a dozen color choices. I decided to go wild and crazy and ordered the rainbow one. I am taking rainbows back into my life. Please don’t do this. Most LGBTQ people I have met are really good people. You on the other hand are not. I don’t think they want to be associated with you.

I promised myself I would get along with my racist, homophobic relatives. My cousin posted something similar to what you just said. This person was married but pregnant with another man baby and living with him yet goes to church every Sunday. All of her church friends were agreeing with her and praising her. I broke my own rule and called her out on it. Needless to say I’m not friends with her anymore.

I never wrap the cord back around the vacuum at home or at work anymore. I just loop it up freestyle and put it around the vacuum that way. Me too.I decided years ago that wrapping it “properly” was wasted energy and stopped. I used the word “waste of energy” today at work when I told my manager I put some elbow grease into it and it still didn’t come off and wasted my energy in doing so

I stand respectfully for the Pledge of Allegiance, but do not participate.

I think she would have the same response if any movements used rainbows as their symbol. I think any symbol should be personalized, and rainbows are universal. It’s a little more personal with it being in a rectangle though. 🏳️🌈

You just aren't paying attention I'm with femalebusiness one this one. I usually give people the benefit of the doubt but once someone shows you who they are (repeatedly in this instance) believe them. She meant it just as it sounds, like a bigoted homophobe.

I live in a city where plastic bags are still the common choice unless one is at Whole Foods. I hate plastic bags. I request paper bags at the grocery. They are very nice handled paper bags and I reuse them for a myriad of projects—crafty things and mailing things.

@stamptastic I reuse mine as well! I always keep my Trader Joe's bags and make envelopes out of them.

I don’t think she meant anything personal towards that movement or anyone else. She resented them using it, the word resented tells me that she did indeed mean it as something personal towards the movement. It's very generous of you to try and defend her but we all know her MO.

I refuse to use the self-checkout line if there is a line open with a cashier. I don't care if I have to stand in a line 20 people long, I will not use those stupid self-checkout lines that take 50 times longer than having an employee ring up my stuff.

I refuse to watch the ads when I play games in my phone. I avert my eyes, except to glance for the little x to delete them. I know they’re designed to suck me in, and I refuse to watch. I also refuse to listen to anymore of the recording when I call doctors or other numbers that give e the long spiel before telling me what number to click. I despise n these systems so much almost always i end up needing a person to reroute me to the appropriate line anyway. I go one further with phone and iPad games. I turn on airplane mode and play offline and then I don’t get any ads at all! Seriously defiant. 😎

They are very nice handled paper bags and I reuse them for a myriad of projects—crafty things and mailing things. We have to pay 5 cents per bag and I use re-usable bags all the time. They do get washed once a week.

I am a child who has control issues. They can’t force me to listen to annoying commercials on the radio, o change the station or turn down the volume every time. And when I do a Google search I refuse to click on the [ad] links, I scroll down to the normal links instead. Still reading on page 1, but I got to this and YES!!! I do all of these things, too! lol I will take my headphones out, if I'm watching Hulu on my laptop, to avoid listening for commercials I don't like.

I usually give people the benefit of the doubt but once someone shows you who they are (repeatedly in this instance) believe them. She meant it just as it sounds, like a bigoted homophobe. That’s a shame then. It’s a shame to me because I only focus on what I’m drawn to or else it would get too overwhelming. And what I’m drawn to is unity and connection, or opportunities to bring it back. So, when a person is against a certain race or against how one or a group decides to associate themselves; that is not unity and connection. And that interrupts what I’m trying to do. Instead of them reflecting out an aspect of themselves that is about separation, I wish they could keep it to themselves to work it out for themselves and heal.

It just felt a little harsh with what Tara said, but I guess it was just food for the troll. “Never quite as it seems” was just said on a commercial right now.
