Beautiful! A little too early for me, it will be Thanksgiving weekend for us. I did bring up little trees for my Grandma so she can enjoy the lights in her room. She's happy.

twistedscissors I love your tree! I'd love to have a shiny silver tree but it would only double my work. I can't *not* have our traditional tree with the kids ornaments on it so I'd have to still put that one up as well.
And I don't put our tree up until mid December. It'll be Dec. 14/15 this year and then it will come down sometime between the 26-28th. I don't enjoy doing it and I get tired of looking at it all after 2 weeks. That's enough for me! BUT if I had a shiny silver tree I might feel differently...!
eta: and don't get me started on Christmas music. I'm Christian so I love songs that are about the birth of Jesus, not so much all the other ones. For ME- it's not the 'happiest time of the year', there is no and will not ever be sleigh riding in GA, what even is a chestnut?, again- there will be NO snow, we have a small family so no joyous family parties.... and as you can guess my favorite song is... (drumroll, please!) You're a Mean One, Mr. Grinch!

When I saw this huge thread, I couldn't believe that many put their trees up so early. Now I see it's 3 pages of people saying it's too early for Christmas trees. Whew!

Pretty. Putting your tree up before Remembrance Day is generally frowned upon here. Personally, I don't see any need for them before the beginning on December. I contemplated not putting ours up at all this year (we will be in the Azores over Christmas) but I think I will, if only for my teen son.

For me and my family it’s more about when we have time. House lights go up right after thanksgiving because it’s a 4-day weekend. Sometimes the tree goes up then, sometimes the first or second weekend of Dec. The tree usually comes down a few days after Christmas because that’s when I have time to put everything away.
OP, your tree is pretty!

That's gorgeous! As much as I love Christmas, I love Autumn and Thanksgiving just as much so my house stays decorated for Fall until the day after Thanksgiving. I've never been a Black Friday shopper so that day is the day I undecorate for Fall and start in on Christmas!

Your tree is soooo pretty! We do real trees and it takes up a ton of space so we don't put ours up until Thanksgiving weekend (depending on when it falls) or the first weekend in December. We always take them down the day after Christmas. By that point they're dead and we're done.

I caved and bought a third tree today. A skinny flocked one. I collect the Hallmark Father Christmas series in memory of my Dad. He passed in February 2005, and Christmas was his favourite time of the year. So I thought I'd see if they had any new series starting that year and would buy it each year to remember him. As luck would have it, Father Christmas had began in 2004. I was able to get the 2004 one from eBay, so now I have one for every year he has been gone, plus his last Christmas with us. And one year they had a bonus figure, so I got that as well. They've had a few reindeer to match the last couple years, and I have the 2017 one, but missed out on the 2018 one. Each year I hang the new one on Christmas Eve. I have so many they deserved their own tree this year:

cakediva your tree is beautiful (I love how big the ornaments are!) and it sounds like it brings back positive memories of your father and keeps his memory with you through the season which is truly lovely.

I’m not organized enough to get the tree up now but if it makes other people happy to do it , why not?

Beautiful tree, and I love the decorations!! Nope, aIways begin to put my Fall dishes and decorations away the day after Thanksgiving and I'd bring up ALL of my Christmas bins. My kids hated that day (it was a lot of work!!), but once I was all done my house was transformed into a winter- Wonderland. I thought that I was always early with the decorating!!!
This year I have to figure out how to plan it. I'm having surgery (again) on the 14th and won't be able to lift things or climb for 3 weeks or so... And DH is scheduled for surgery on December 5th. This might be the one year where I just skip the decorations entirely!! That's never happened in my life.

My musical this year (I'm a theatre teacher) is Elf, so I've been living Christmas since early October. The only "tree" that I have up are the ones going on my set. We close the second week of December and it'll probably have to close before I'll be ready to decorate my own house.

Beautiful tree!
We get a real tree so we wait until December. There are no tree lots open yet. I’ve seen lots getting ready, but no trees yet.

We have a major holiday on December 5 over here (Saint Nicholas Day), so ours wont be up until the weekend after that, but I wish I could do it now!

I was so inspired by your beautiful tree I went out the other day and bought a tree that looks very similar to yours. It will be for a corner in my kitchen and will honor my two Labrador Retrievers that I lost over the past 10 months. I can’t wait to put it up Thanksgiving Weekend. THANKS for the inspiration ❤️
