What are you creating these days? What are your card making goals? I need to create two more birthday cards and ALL my Christmas cards this month. Have a card making day planned for next weekend. Here are the cards I completed this month: CTMH kit cards by Gramma Dee, on Flickr sock anniversary by Gramma Dee, on Flickr Let's see what you have been up to!

Really lovely grammadee ! I love the colors and patterns in the CTMH kit. Did those take you long to make? The anniversary card is right up my alley, as you can probably guess based on what I share. Very cute. I might have to pull out my Valentines die cuts and see if I have socks. I'm pretty sure I have a pair or two. Maybe I can be inspired by you being inspired by Nylene I haven't finished these or figured out if I'm going to keep them as tags or make them into shaped cards or just put them onto a card base, but this is what I've been up to. I haven't had gold embossing powder for years - I'd forgotten how MAGICAL it is! I used Brusho powders to watercolor which was unnecessarily complicated but a worthwhile experiment. I'll try watercolor markers on the next batch. I'm going to make more, one way or another. I love them! http://instagram.com/p/B4las7mA9g7

I am going to echo what grammadee said. I love the positive/negative effects, too. Your cards look great, azcrafty!
I’ll have to post my most recent card later, but I love that we have a thread where we are sharing this month’s card creations!

azcrafty I've never heard of that company before but your cards are wonderful so I might need to check them out! I think the snowflakes definitely look like flowers - great way to stretch that for all seasons. You could do all kinds of colors. And the Xmas sweater dies are great - that inlay must've taken a while but wow, it looks fantastic.

I have an extra set and I'm think about doing a giveaway on Instagram. I have to learn first how to do that, I'm still newbie on it.

I haven't quite finished yet but I'm "prototyping" these Christmas thank you cards. I'll probably add a thin colored mat behind them and color the critter's hats and make a bunch more. They won't be folded - just flat notecards. Just big enough for a quick note. I'll try to share again when I get them done. http://instagr.am/p/B5B3OWogZn9

Cute idea, joblackford. On Sunday and Monday I finished 30 cards which are in the Gallery and in the November Challenges sharing thread, but I won't flood this thread with them here. Speaking of prototyping though, I have cut all the pieces for a set of ten cards like this one. The backgrounds will vary b/c I am using scraps from my stash, but they all have kind of a blue/turquoise palette. Put this one together to see what it would look like. heart snowball by Gramma Dee, on Flickr

That's a such a cute set joblackford I can't wait to see the finished card. What is your favorite coloring medium? TBH I'm not much of a fan of coloring. That's why most of my cards use patterned paper! I usually use waterbased markers (most are actually cheapo AC ones I got at TM but I also have some Tombow colors). Markers are fast and easy. I don't do fancy shading. These ones are for my 10yo nephew to mail after Christmas and he likes art so I might leave them for him to color in! I haven't decided if he should get the dog and cat ones, or the bear and snowman I haven't made yet, or a mixture of both. I used distress oxide to blend behind the bear and I quite like the dark blue. I might make a set for myself that are shades of blue and aqua/teal. What do you like to use for coloring?

You're great at using up scraps grammadee! I've been enjoying seeing your cards. The embossing on the mittens is a detail I would've missed so I'm glad I clicked through to see all the details on flickr Very cool. I thought of you when I tossed a bunch of scraps yesterday - I admire your ability to use everything up but I decided I needed to say "when" with some older bits I'd been saving. Trying to find a good balance to safeguard my sanity I have lots more cards to share but I'll try to take a photos with lots of cards I together so I don't flood the thread - I made 3 dozen cards with one collection the other day (and have another 5 dozen I'd like to make this week) and I just pulled out the leftovers from Shimelle's Starshine paper pad I bought when it came out and cobbled that together with some Echo Park leftovers to make another pile of cards that I hope to finish today.

Cute card grammadee, love the embossed gloves. joblackford wow! You are busy with card making😊 I like to use my spectrum noir markers, but I'm with you I don't do fancy shading. A light and dark shade of the same color will do for me. I would like to get better with water coloring marbe that's something I will work on in the coming year.

I finished my first card with the My Monthly Hero kit. I fell in live with the door and doggy. Baxter my dog toilet papered my whole house one time, because we snuck out on him. He just needed 30 min to tore apart a whole roll and have it all over downstairs and upstairs. So my doggy in the card had to do something bad😊🤣😍 http://instagram.com/p/B5MtBjJACrX

azcrafty , that card is AMAZING!!!! I have a thing for doors and windows on cards. Have a bunch of dies to cut them, but don't use them very often. That scene behind the open door is really cute, the colouring is super well done, and the torn paper is GENIUS!!! LOVE this!!!

I have been wanting to try Coco and Reno dies, and I love this month's,So I took theplunge and got it,specially after reading how happy ComplicatedLady is with them. Were you surprised with the quality and quantity? When I got my first month’s order, I was surprised with how many dies were in it! I have the holiday ones too but I haven’t had a chance to use them yet. Your cards look great and will be great inspiration! grammadee I have that CTMH card kit too! I had forgotten about it. I’m hoping ds and I can make some cards either tomorrow or Wednesday (or maybe both).

I used up almost all of my Starshine and Echo Park (? some kind of pirate collection from a couple of years ago that coordinated) by making these random cards using some of Call Me Crafty Al's Sheetload designs, loosely interpreted. I have some more to finish off when I have time to cut more of the hello die cuts - about this many again. These will all be donated. November cards by jo.blackford, on Flickr I used the November Sheetload sketch for these cards using a few clearanced papers from Jenn Hadfield's Heart of Home. I added some skeleton leaves that came with a Hero Arts kit (didn't have enough for all of them). November cards by jo.blackford, on Flickr I had these panels stamped but didn't know what I wanted to do with them, to color or not, so they sat in my stash for months. I stuck them down and added my favorite die cuts to them and they'll make good "masculine" cards for Bring Smiles to Seniors. Two are dark grey, two are black. I have some colorful embossed versions of these that I should also finish! November cards by jo.blackford, on Flickr Can you tell that I love that hello die cut?! Best (cheap) investment ever for donation cards. Finally, today I made 12 cards of the left hand design for my nephew to send after Christmas (the finished cards are packed away but they have a thin green or red mat/border layer behind them. My nephew can color them in before he sends them if he wants to. I'm not quite done with the bear and snowman cards but they will get a blue background mat. No coloring. These are flat notecards, I think I made 17. Xmas thank you cards by jo.blackford, on Flickr Sorry to drop so many cards on you all at once! I'll try to add more details about materials in the flickr descriptions.

ComplicatedLady I was surprised how heavy they are and how nice they cut and how many you get. The price is great too. I used to get the spellbinder small dies of the month but stopped it. It's just too many little pieces to diecut and piece together. I really enjoyed this month C&R and I'm curious about how is going to be in the future. I don't sub to lots of stuff, I get the kit what I like and I'm ok to pay shipping it still cost me less than stuck with a $35 (SSS and heroarts) kit I'm not liking and never going to use. I made some ornaments with the dies, I'm trying to make something with each dies 😊 http://instagram.com/p/B5LczXJgPWx

I have the simple life cut apart paper, I should make some up. Thanks for the inspiration. Thanks I will donate most of these to Bring Smiles to Seniors although I may pop one or two sets in my shop. I've also donated to Cards for Hospitalized Kids, Card Care Connection (for cancer patients), and Send a Smile for Kids. They also make nice gifts - I usually give my mother, my aunt, and my SIL sets of cards for their birthdays. Usually a mixture of styles and cards rather than all one type. The Sheetload designs are pretty fun. And there are a couple that work so well with 3x4 cut aparts, it seemed a no-brainer to try them out when I had 10 of the Simple Life sets sitting around gathering dust! I love them

Maybe I should look into selling some, but last time didn't have any luck. Selling is hard work (if you do all the things that keep the tax man happy!) and there's a LOT of competition and it's hard to price them right. I find it easier and more pleasant to donate many/most of my cards. Bring Smiles to Seniors is really responsive and appreciative - they share everyone's cards on IG and always send a detailed thank you. They also don't mind if you write in them or not, their guidelines are really flexible.
