I really should’ve scheduled myself to work at home today, but unfortunately I need to go into the office. I’m going to need some play by play ladies, with all the gory details. Lol

I'm scared to even watch. Nothing sticks to him. I want him out so bad and am afraid to even get my hopes up. How sad is that?

I'm scared to even watch. Nothing sticks to him. I want him out so bad and am afraid to even get my hopes up. How sad is that? The senate is not going to impeach him. Literally nothing will change. Sorry to be Debbie downer but that corrupt asshole isn’t getting kicked out of the White House today. I am surprised that this is being celebrated.

The House will probably vote to impeach him, which only means to bring charges. The Senate will then act as a jury and can remove him from office. That is unlikely to happen.
What could change is that he would join the short list of impeached presidents and at least history would show that he was charged with committing "high crimes and misdemeanors."
What remains to be seen is if historians look back and say it was meaningless and mostly a political show, as they now do about Pres. Clinton, or if they look back and say those were serious charges and he should have been removed from office.

just got to work and got my computer turned on... listening to Adam Schiff right now! ETA: I am not *celebrating* but I think this is a very important proceeding that people SHOULD pay attention to. The use of impeachment is a very important thing for keeping the people in government accountable to make sure they are adhering to their oath-- which is to the CONSTITUTION-- not their own personal gain, other country's interests, whatever. I think it is important for people to listen and watch for themselves to hear and see the witnesses. In my opinion, these hearings are not a "political" proceeding but a proceeding that will determine the future of the system of checks and balances between the three branches of government. (will the Republicans agree with any of the importance of these proceedings? probably not...)

I want to throat punch Devin Nunes. No one said we should forget about Mueller, there was no 360 by Democrats to latch on to the Ukraine theory. Using words coup, secret audition of witnesses. Does Schiff get a chance to rebut? I hope so.

Does Schiff get a chance to rebut? I hope so. He SAT right there in the 'secret' depositions! Well, some of them, he did not attend all! FORTY SEVEN gop members could have attended and did NOT! And to drag and degrade the witnesses into his negative statement!

I think this Ukraine thing is too confusing for the average Trump voter, so they'll believe him that it's unfounded. Currently watching Bill Taylor, whose name sign says "ambassador" but I believe he stated earlier that he was not confirmed as Ambassador and was Charge d'affairs.

Yamiche Alcindor William Taylor: My understanding was that Secretaries of Defense & State, the CIA Director, & National Security Advisor sought a joint meeting w/ the president to convince him to release the hold, but such a meeting was hard to schedule and the hold lasted well into September. Prompted this random reply. If the President wanted that meeting, it would not have been "hard to schedule." Unless he is powerless. Absolutely! Yes on the title. He is so very well spoken, LOTS of info too!

Taylor and Kent's testimony is achingly clear and devastating to all of us dwelling in reality. Those who aren't will not be swayed.
What struck me in the pregame was a pundit's statement that Republican senators were going on record saying they weren't going to even watch the proceedings. This is NOT a partisan exercise and to say this is reprehensible and a dereliction of their duty as elected officials.
