And now Putin’s latest is a “cleansing”.
He believes that a “natural” (to him natural means him making the call of who to kill off) cleansing of anyone who doesn’t support him.
Gee…sounds familiar… 🤔

I think boycotting does work.
Especially in numbers.
It might not shutter the company, but where people give their dollars does make a difference.

Marco Rubio was a sponsor to this bill.
Funny thing is that he touted that there was “tons of science” to back up the seasonal disorder affects….
(But he wasn’t a proponent for science during covid!)

What questionable job does Hunter Biden have in this administration? I have never seen him in any sort of capacity as an employee of Biden's administration, unlike Ivanka and Jared. Who had exactly ZERO qualifications to be a part of a presidential administration. You really are something else. This thread has been going on for almost two weeks, and NOW you choose to jump in to bitch about Hunter Biden? Good grief. Go back and reread my original post. Maybe then you will understand the context. But then again, maybe not. 🤷🏻♀️ Yeah, I don’t think even you understand the babbling bullcrap you’re putting out there!

It’s not illegal for someone else to hire the president’s questionable son. It IS illegal for the president to hire his children to work in the White House. I don’t get why you’re even arguing this point, other than for the possibility of getting the last word in. I’m here for another half-hour. Your choice. MY original point was that you’re all over Hunter Biden, who is not a threat to the security of this country, while simultaneously being blind to the much more dangerous transgressions of the Trump family. I wonder what Ivanka had to promise the Chinese, and Jared had to promise the sheiks, for all those sweet international $$$ to come rolling in? Hunter Biden has nothing to trade but paintings. His father doesn’t take political advice from him. In my original post I said I thought it was interesting that hunter biden never gets talked about but trump does. It was an observation that you took to the next level and started arguing about. 🤷🏻♀️ But if you think that hunter is clean in his dealings with not only Ukraine but China and only traded paintings then you are living in Lalaland🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Where’s the proof? Oh yet, Guiliani has a mysterious laptop from some repair shop. Your statements here and elsewhere on this forum put you living in a lying alternative universe. Man…it’s just amazing to watch you people suck up so much bullshit and spew it back out.

And yet, the president has NOT given a job to his son. But you’re still “bleating” about it. And no, not every president has given jobs to family members. It’s called nepotism and it’s against the law. That’s why Jared and Ivanka did not accept a salary, but they were still in violation of the spirit, if not the letter, of the law. Once again, I guess IOKIYAR. Well since I said presidential family, not president, you are misquoting me. I’m pretty sure hunter biden got a pretty big salary for his questionable “job”. And I’m pretty sure he got that job because of who his father is. So….. Look…someone’s bleating the right wing propaganda. 🐑 🐑🐑🐑🐑🐑🐑🐑🐑🐑🐑🐑

I posted here a week ago about my dad entering hospice. The original thought was that he was doing OK but that he was fading a bit, but yesterday was the first day in several days that he was able to get out of bed, and my mother is really struggling emotionally (partly because the reality of death is getting worse and partly because she does not do well having strangers in her home and even when the hospice workers are by necessity helping it is really stressing her out). On Saturday, I was at the twins' last soccer game of the season, and ended up having to leave the sidelines for a while because my mother was threatening to (in the middle of this) move out of her condo because the new manager was asking for proof of her renter's insurance, she gave the wrong email to the renter's insurance company, and she was too angry about being asked for proof in the first place to call them back. Meanwhile, when we moved here for work fifteen years ago, dh's parents lived in Manhattan, with a place in the Hamptons. Maybe eight years ago, they sold their place in Manhattan and bought a huge place in Florida. We told them at the time -- we're here in Seattle, this is where our jobs are, it is going to be really hard to get to your place in Florida, it's fine, but do you want to consider maybe having your home be either near us or near dh's brother? (He lives in Philadelphia). No, absolutely not, we want to be where are friends are, and our friends are buying places in Florida. Well, now, most of their friends are either deceased or homebound, and my MIL's health (she was diagnosed with Parkinson's thirty years ago) has declined to the point where she probably has developed dementia, and his father has been calling all week to say things like "she won't use a walker so she falls down ten times a day; I guess if she falls down and dies, I won't have to worry about it". So now DH has to go out there to try to help manage the situation, because it's getting bad from what we can tell from here. I'm not really asking for advice or anything -- I am just some combination of sad, tired, and frustrated. For everyone. Hugs….

Gas prices are the issue you are going to switch your vote over? Do LQGBTIA rights not matter more? Civil rights? Education? Woman’s rights? Supreme Court nominations? Environment? Immigration? Voting Rights? My god, I know you are going through a lot, but please, for the love of the planet and your fellow citizens don’t let the Republicans false narrative about gas prices sway your vote. That is one issue. One. Even if it were Biden’s fault (but it is NOT) that cannot be the sole issue you make your voting decision on. well even when the republicans don’t have the White House, they’re still getting the shitty anti lgbtqia stuff through. So really the hateful laws are going to go no matter what. Money talks. The 1% are making that very clear. Now here’s why I don’t particularly enjoy this board anymore: I’ve voted democrat with no doubts before but I simply mention I might lean republican and conservative and people go nuts. Like we are a two party country correct? It isn’t bad to be conservative in SOME areas and I would never question someone for wanting to consider all options. So yeah come down in me because I might be more conservative than you. This isn’t my place anymore. There’s a lot of judgment here. I hate that trump destroyed the Conservative party because there’s good parts there. So here’s the thing… You came here literally posting that “because of high gas prices, with it happening when a democrat is potus, that you’re reconsidering voting democrat…” And it got a reaction based on your statements—what did you expect? Just as angry you are about high gas prices (which it’s safe to say that EVERYONE ON THE PLANET PRETTY MUCH IS) many are very upset about the other things too—like republicans working their way through legislation to deny healthcare to women, LBGTQIA, the font says gay bills, EO topic pregnancy being a crime…. What many posters here did, that you’re now taking umbrage with, is that they are correcting the false narratives—gas prices are high = a democrat potus…that’s just not true. It’s railing against all the misinformation out there.

There is a person in my life who I love deeply... they were born female... they have had a mastectomy, hysterectomy and currently on testosterone... This person used to be my aunt... but isnt my uncle yet/maybe ever... my mom just says her sibling.. that doesn't work for gender specific titles... mainly aunt uncle niece nephew... I dont want to call them my moms sibling... sorta sounds like i dont love them... Who are they to me now??? Is there a word... Im not trying to be disrespectful... and i truly truly hope i am not wording anything wrong.... However THEY chose to be known is the right answer.

Investigations on temp hold....long explanations in the piece about how there are restrictions and different rules for these investigations. Workers are not allowed to discuss the cases with each other, not emails or any other ways... All very strange. Judge temporarily blocks Texas investigations into families of trans kidsEleanor Klibanoff, The Texas Tribune March 11, 2022 "Judge temporarily blocks Texas investigations into families of trans kids" was first published by The Texas Tribune, a nonprofit, nonpartisan media organization that informs Texans — and engages with them — about public policy, politics, government and statewide issues.State District Judge Amy Clark Meachum ruled Friday that the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services cannot continue to investigate parents who provide gender-affirming care to their transgender children for child abuse. The statewide injunction will remain in effect until the case is heard in July.Meachum said there is a "substantial likelihood that" lawyers for the American Civil Liberties Union and Lambda Legal will prevail in getting this directive permanently overturned, calling Abbott's actions "beyond the scope of his duty and unconstitutional." *** A supervisor for the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services testified Friday that the child abuse investigations into families of transgender children ordered by Gov. Greg Abbott are being held to a different standard than other cases. *** I’ve always felt that, at the end of the day, the department had children’s best interest at heart,” she said. “I no longer feel that way.” *** Abbott’s move to have families of transgender children investigated for abuse — made one week before the state's March 1 primary — followed a nonbinding legal opinion from Attorney General Ken Paxton. *** Meachum granted a temporary restraining order last week, which halted this one case, but there are currently nine families under investigation for gender-affirming care, according to DFPS. www.rawstory.com/texas-transgender-children/Abbot and Paxton can rot at in hell.

Did you read the article? He was convicted of felony battery, not murder. The judge stated why he received the charge and sentence that he did. i read this and several articles. The fact remains, he killed the guy by his actions and people think that's OK. Kyle Rittenhouse.

I know which one I support. I'm very relieved that a major hitter like Disney has the guts to strike back at our wanker governor. I may even put a Disney sticker on my car. I know this will cue those who miss no opportunity to say how awful Florida is. We are not a homophobic state and it's pretty nice here, but if not for the detractors, our state would sink into the sea under the weight of everyone who wants to live here. Governor slams "woke" DisneyWell since your quasi-passive/aggressive comments invited me in… I’d like to clear up a few things— 1. I didn’t say Florida (the funny, tropical state) was awful or all it’s people (generally speaking) were homophobic — 2. I didn’t bash all people (again in general) living there, 3. I clearly stated that (economically) Florida wouldn’t see a dime of our disposable income. 4. Florida government is actively and aggressively creating (and passing) legislation that is literally trying to wipe people I love off the planet. So I do what I can to support my loved ones. 5. I spoke from solely my family perspective, I wasn’t sweeping with a broad brush. So, please watch your words and not attribute things that weren’t specifically said to peas who didn’t say them. If people want to flock to Florida and live, support the policies there, that’s on them, we just cannot do it. I’m not ashamed of saying so either.

😳😳😳😳😳 This sounds like Putinism. Well there were the idiots at a trump rally who had shirts that said I’d rather be a Russian than a democrat. I guess this is what they are aiming for. Unfortunately these idiots have no idea how much they are hurting their own families because those families members are terrified to say anything. Those fuckers would be the first to break if ruled by putin.

So..legislation moving forward in Idaho…PREVENTS LEAVING FOR HEALTHCARE AND WILL MAKE IT A CRIME PUNISHABLE BY LIFE IN PRISON… If you are LBGTQIA transgender OR a family member OR friend OR anyone else in the state of Idaho, and want to help a LBGTQIA transgender person leave the homophobic state to get healthcare, treatments, mental healthcare you can’t and will be arrested (proposed as a crime) and it’s punishable by life in prison. So if you are LBGTQIA transgender in the state of Idaho and this legislation passed—you’re fucked. You’re literally a flake to the state government with zero rights. I fucking gate republicans more and more every day. God dammit—who the fuck is creating this fucking hateful legislation and better yet who the fuck is thinking this is right and just?? www.newsweek.com/idaho-house-passes-anti-trans-youth-treatment-bill-hb675-1686298

Yes, just renewed--only took 7 minutes. (They used to drag this out for 20+ minutes) So first he gave me their "very best" deal "because I'm such a loyal customer...) of 5.99 + taxes, etc. I said "some of my friends get it for 4.99" + tax, he said "let me check to see what else we have." And like magic I got it for 4.99 per month + fees/taxes for a year. ($6.86 per month including fees/taxes). Should have had him to that for my other car that I'm paying 8.23 but I'm not that motivated. We just got this same deal! However, something the rep did caused one of our cars not to have SiriusXM for 3 weeks. We finally figured out she assigned it a new Radio ID, 3 days after our renewal!

I just read the article and it listed several other states with similar legislation. I was surprised to see AZ on that list. The others not so much but this surprised me . The list of states I will consider moving to keeps shrinking. Hopefully in some of these states the bills won’t get any traction because most of the legislature is Democratic. But it is still disheartening that anyone would propose these initiatives. It not just disheartening. It’s dangerous.

I am sure all the gas companies have made massive profits over the years and pay their CEOs very well. Personally, I think they could stand to lose a little profit and help out people with the high gas prices. DH says no, that what companies are supposed to do, make a profit. How do you feel? Day 1 in office, Keystone Pipeline was killed dead in its tracks. In a year, we've gone from energy independence to this. Ya think that maybe, just maybe, this administration may have something to do with this inflation? Nah. That's crazy talk! Tell me you’re in a Fox news cult without telling me you’re a Fox News cult.

You keep posting lies, then run away and cry I’m a victim of the liberal nastiness. 🙄🙄🙄 stop posting lies! We were NOT at “energy independence” a year ago. Trump lied when he made that claim. (No surprise there) it was proved repeatedly that we were not when he said that. In fact US consumes about 20 million barrels a day. US manufactures only about 12.5 million barrels a day. You do the math, it’s simple…we are not energy independent. The keystone pipeline was NOT killed dead (in fact it’s up and running as it always has been). A permit for an addition bypass was denied. That’s it. Pipeline was not killed as you lie about. And the Keystone pipeline doesn’t even belong to the US—it’s a Canadian company and it’s used solely to transport tar sand, s dangerous oil byproduct. But fuck the environment right? It’s amazing just how ignorant conservatives just want to continue to be.

I wasn’t going to ask here, but WTH… I have a herniated disk/disk degeneration in my low back, and was just diagnosed with significant arthritis in C3-C7. I am going to be looking into getting a breast reduction to see if that would help with some of the stress on my spine. I’m a DDD, looking to be a C/D. If you’ve had a reduction, do you mind sharing your experience with me? I have a friend who had one a couple of years back, and ended up having complications. My DH is kind of nervous about the whole procedure/recovery. Now having two diagnoses, three prescribed PT’s, as well as losing 50 lbs and still having big breasts, I’m hoping that insurance will cover it. I will go for a consultation as soon as I speak with the surgeon to get the referral for PT. Thanks for any stories/tips/advice you can share! It likely will! Best decision I ever made. When I came out of anesthesia, I felt a difference in my neck and shoulders that same day. Our insurance covered all but $450. Mine was not cosmetic. Your plastic surgeon will submit (the most unflattering photos you’ll ever have!!!) to the insurance as evidence that it is a health/well being issue vs cosmetic. I put off having one for many years, worried, scared, paranoid and afraid of the recovery. (I was mostly afraid of having stitches taken out!!) My breast size was larger than yours (but I’m really tall) and they did what they call an “anchor” because I was so large and 13 lbs were coming off—where my nips were detached, a straight incision from bottom of nip to chest wall and incision left to right ( anchor shaped) and my nips were reattached. I signed paperwork stating that if they needed to use drains with tubes I consented which was another reason I put it off, but the doctor did not have to—thank goodness. I took a nurse friend with me when I had my stitches taken out and she distracted me while it was being done and I survived!!! It didn’t hurt but felt weird. You will have nerve tickles and itches around your incisions, they go away after time. It was not nearly as bad as I imagined. Recovery—-follow every instruction, take the pain meds, and you might feel like you’re a lot smaller than you wanted, but give it some time and they’ll “round out”! I now have absolutely perfect breasts!!! Lol couldn’t be happier (I’m now a DD) I don’t have to wear a bra. You likely won’t want any bra for a while, I had my surgery during autumn, so I was able to wear a tight tank as my “bra” under shirts and sweaters. You won’t want an underwire for a long time. I’d highly recommend!!!
