Lie to them. Thatâs all that they do and believe. Actually I donât agree with you. There are a whole lot of people here who really desire to do the right thing. Red state folks, especially those in the south, are persuaded by âstory tellingâ rather than dry facts. Thatâs what makes this ad compelling- it tells a story of a rich boy who did a bad, bad thing. The images and music are carefully chosen to maximize the emotional impact. I donât see Dems using imagery and story telling - or the right images - to connect with folks. In context, the story telling by these red politicians are lies. And when artfully, purposefully, specifically done (they actually have focus groups & marketing the lies) these lies get passed around by âstorytellingâ. Itâs dangerous. Especially when the red politicians are doing it, not out of facts and truth, or even really for the benefit of their communities, but they do it for the grift, power, and politics.

Do you know how sick I am of hearing this? "why should people work? they are getting 300$ more a wk, they make more on unemployment and the bonus then working". First...I don't know anyone that isn't working and collecting unemployment? do you guys? and why? and 2- are people that arn't working and getting paid under minimum wage, oR minimum wage really making money getting that 300$? because I don't think that's true.
Thoughts? are you guys of sick of this as I am? am I unrealistic? out of touch?
And I know places are short staffed, I believe that, so where are the people? did they just get better jobs? move? what happened?
Just unintelligent, republican rhetoric. Funny thing is, many, many republicans are getting unemployment. They are hypocrites.

That will never happen. Since republicans never resign, frankly Democrats shouldn't either. I get that in theory. And it is a horrible double standard. But really this IS about protecting women, or at least it should be. The republicans are hypocrites in every sense of the word. At least democrats are holding men accountable. Yes.

Good. Any person with credible claims of sexual harrassment against them shouldn't be a governor. (Or a senator, or Supreme Court justice, or president.) Sadly, it seems like only Democrats are held to a standard in which they must resign.

I've been watching. Too bad they didn't believe women about Kavanaugh. That creep now sits on the Supreme Court of the United States. Cuomo was notorious for that behavior. He deserves what he gets. It thrills me to see these types of men going down. I was young during the â60s and '70s and I could tell you many stories about sexual harassment that most wouldnât believe. Only if Kavanaugh was a Democrat would it have mattered.

So, I was getting no less than 12 calls/texts a day in the last 2 weeks from Nina Turner advocatesâthey became really aggressive.
Sheâs know in our community, and I was >< to voting tor her..untilâŠthe negative ads started. They were unfounded accusations with zero proof, the majority of them were just attack the other candidateâand her message and what she told for got lost in her attack campaign (I told her staff of callers that same thing each time I picked up too!)
Statements that Turner made about Brown were done so with no evidence (she was hoping that sowing doubt would take her out) and sheâd make comparisons such as âbrown voted herself a $7000 pay raise while at the same time voting against $15 minimum wageâ. Well if you looked and fact checked, the vote on pay raises was in 2014, a unanimous vote while the minimum wage issue was this year.
Such deceitful practices is so very much reminiscent of the last 4 trump republican years and all the disinformation and lying.
Iâm so over that and wonât support/vote for a candidate who does it.

Ladies, I donât want to step on any toes here, but I donât understand why you are trying to reason with Gia. You know by now that she is unreasonable. I do understand the desire to push back because she is so obnoxious and so wrong, I was very tempted to join the fray after her willfully ignorant statements about Dr. Fauci. But please spare yourself the stress of trying to enlighten someone who is not just drinking the trump humper Kool-Aid, but is probably being infused via an IV! She lives for this kind of back and forth, she knows which buttons to push, you are giving her exactly what she wants. Itâs not trying to reason with her. Itâs important to call out the lies, disinformation and bullshit that people like her continually postâIt would be nice to ignore it, but thatâs how we ended up with trump, people thought that the lying orange fool didnât have a chance, but his lies, disinformation and bullshit got him to an office that he should never had heldâhe was inept, unqualified, ignorant, an epic liar, destructive, damaging, and a horrible potus. So tor me, itâs about combating the lies by the liarsâbecause thatâs what they are when they keep on with their rhetoric after being shown the truth/facts time and time over. Wouldnât want Anyone new to the board/unfamiliar with her MO, to see her bullshit as fact.

People are vaccine hesitant, because people like you lie, manipulate information, and downplay Covid/vaccine. That is an outright lie. I have never downplayed Covid OR the vaccine. The rest of your drivel is nothing more than you projecting your actions onto me and not worth responding to, but that one caught my eye and needed to be addressed. It's statements like the one from you quoted above that show you have long ago left good faith arguments when you outright lie about what I've said or done. Silly Gia. Always deflecting. Youâre the one who purposely refused âgood faithâ discussions. Always moving the goalposts posts, changing context. Oh honey, bless your heart <pats hand>. Letâs go over how science worksâŠagain. Fauci didnât âlieâ. Fauci went with the best scientific knowledge at the time. When the knowledge changed, Fauci changed his statements to update that. Science is fluid, not frozen in time. Science represents the best knowledge at any given moment. We no longer view the body in terms of the four humours, nor do we treat syphillis with mercury. Scientific knowledge evolves. In addition, Covid is so new that new knowledge is evolving all the time. Instead of persisting in your right-wing-sourced media beliefs, perhaps consider how amazing it is the amount of knowledge has developed in such a short time. Cuomo is a big disappointment for sure, but the state of NY has chosen not to pursue any of the issues with nursing homes. So thereâs nothing really to be done except create new policies. Knock yourself out if thatâs an enterprise youâd like to pursue. Oh honey, bless your heart <pats hand>. Letâs go over how science worksâŠagain. He said that people didn't need them because it wouldn't really help. That we should leave them for medical staff and caregivers. THAT'S not how science works. If masks protect health care providers, masks protect people in general. If masks DON'T protect people in general, masks WON'T protect health care workers. You can NOT have it both ways. THAT'S not science. Liar. That is not what Fauci said. He didnât say that âit wouldnât matterâ as you have stated. âAs Fauci told the Washington Post here , at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, masks were not recommended for the general public, as authorities were trying to prevent a mask shortage for health workers and the extent of asymptomatic spread was unknown. As more information became available about SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19, health authorities and organizations around the world have changed their stance towards the impact of face masks and the spread of the disease ( here ). As of the publishing of this fact check, Fauci is encouraging people to wear face coverings. Fauci has reaffirmed this stance on interviews on Sept. 21, Aug. 10 and Aug. 5 â Fauci, to this day, continually updates as new/better/more accurate and relevant info is available.

Nope. Not at all, poor, sad, delusional Gia. Iâm not the one posting lies and propaganda here like you are. I stated upthread that the FACT I pulled from the article YOU posted, busted your attempt to paint immigrants as mass spreaders of the virus. Context always escapes you. In fact, you even made the link âtitleâ different from the article making it appear that the article itself was painting immigrants as mass spreaders. Liar much? What you lead with in posting just a title to the article was disingenuous, and you knew it. You got caught manipulating once again. I even stated, in that same post that the article mentions that they donât know if immigrants brought it or that they contracted it upon arrivalâthe authorities cannot pin point it, so how can we or you? Not once did I negate or argue anything else the article mentioned. Simply playing by the rules like you post here. Itâs crystal clear that you are continually posting false info, twisting or leaving out context, purposely posting out right lies. Your the one projecting sweetheart, not I. Nice try but epic failure on your part. Iâve actually posted factual, truthful information rebutting and shutting down your lies and disinformation. Wish I didnât have to, but people like you are dangerous to society by posting the lies and disinformation. Youâre the âtrumpâ of pea landâjust cannot tell the truth. Not once did I negate or argue anything else the article mentioned. Yes, you absofuckinglutely did. In response to MollyCoddle's post that someone who's mad and confused by the disparity in Biden's words vs. his action is not "acting like spoiled toddlers" and showed why. I said "No, she's acting like she doesn't trust the Biden administration who is claiming they want you to mask up for the health of the country, while releasing infected immigrants into the country." And I linked the article to back up my statement. You cherry picked one single quote in that entire long article that you attempted to use to argue and negate "releasing infected immigrants into the country."What you lead with in posting just a title to the article was disingenuous, and you knew it. You got caught manipulating once again. Nope that's an outright lie. I posted a LINK to the article, not just the title. The entire point of this thread is why are people vaccine hesitant. I give a viewpoint, back it up (with the New York Times, I might add) and you don't like it. That's a YOU problem, not my problem. So you think (or are trying to reroute the OP) âthe entire point if this thread is why people are vaccine hesitantâ yet you post disingenuous info, incorrect information⊠People are vaccine hesitant because: 1. Fox News screams at the to be that way, 2. Republicans have outright denied the virus, calling it made up or the flu, 3. People like you continue to sow disinformation about the virus, 4. Republicans have made the virus a political tool by means of pitting people against anyone and any business who are doing the best the can to protect others from contracting it or spreading it, 5. Anti-vaxxers are not educated with factual info regarding the virus/vaccine, 6. Republicans are creating laws preventing people/businesses to stay safe and protected, 7. A bunch of people are just dumb, 8. Former idiot potus had massive rallies, (still does rallies) where masks are refused and while people were supposed to be social distancing 9. Former administration did not take action on virus despite scientists and doctors sounding the alarms 10. Anti vaxxers attacking workers who are only doing their jobsâ There is really no good reason for not getting the vaccineâthere are a minimal number of those who shouldnât get itâbut yet here we areârepublicans still sowing the disinformation about the virus and vaccine, politiciansâagainst medical and scientific urging creating laws yo outlaw masking and protection and limits on stores/restaurants , etc. There is an effective vaccine to prevent/limit the spread of this terrible and deadly virus, but people are hesitant because of the reasons listed above.

Social Emotional Learning? Weâre all doomed. We schedule this each week. We teach things like how to work in groups, how to manage frustration, how to give compliments, etc. We plan cross-grade activities in order for the students to meet new people and work on creative tasks together. I had no idea that was such a bad thing. Unbelievable. Yep. There is a group in my town that is working to dismantle the school board. We had an equity audit that does appear to be poorly done, but the resulting formation of a group that has been influenced by larger entities is tearing up the community. There is an Anti-CRT toolkit that they are using. Demanding that signage in support or BLM, LGBTQ, etc be removed. Changing the curriculum and not allowing Dear Martin to be read. They want cameras in the classroom to ensure that teachers aren't trying to "indoctrinate" students, and for there to be "Classroom incident report" system where students can report teachers that discuss any form of equity, diversity or inclusion using those words listed in the previous link. Also including are creating teams that would create penalties for teachers that violate their policies, including 30 day suspension for the entire school from athletics and academic activities (I don't really understand that one); staff violation would requite a 30 day leave without pay for first offense, termination on second offense. Sounds like a good school environment, right? Whoâs forcing who to bend to the will of their beliefs!! Good god thatâs crazy!!!

You take and mix quotes out of context to try to get your âah-haâ moment, and twist and turn each time someone points out a fact. I posted a quote from the article you linked that You didnât like, that is not in support of the opinion you were trying to make. I didnât have any argument with anything else in the article, didnât dismiss anything. People are vaccine hesitant, because people like you lie, manipulate information, and downplay Covid/vaccine. This is what I said⊠I left only the facts from the NY Times. Care to comment on the facts? What âfactsâ specifically? This one? (from what you posted articleâŠ) âThere have been no instances of mass spread at U.S. border facilities, and overall numbers of cases are relatively low, according to the Department of Homeland Security. About 5 percent of all single adults and families tested after their release since March showed a positive result, according to the agency, while among the thousands of unaccompanied minors now in custody, the rate has been about 12 percent.â So common sense would tell you that the Biden administration really isnât releasing all these ârabidly infected immigrantsâ into the wild as your type lies and stretches the truth about. If they are not tested upon arrival, then there is no evidence that they brought it with them, right? For all we know, they could have gotten it while held, AFTER theyâve already been here. On the same subject, Ron DeSantis is responsible for 100x more spread of the virus than immigrants who are released.

The testimony was very traumatizing but I wonder if the behavior of many on the right played a role. I mean when you have people saying that it was like a tourist day, denying almost everything that happened and some even mocking the officers that testified. So disheartening and sickening. How many children have taken their own lives when theyâve been attacked by bullies? Here we have ignorant, relentless, idiotic republicans attacking them on a national stage. Fucking republicans.

Gia/pixiechik is nothing more than a lying propaganda machine. âThis needs context EVIDENCE While Fauci, along with several other US health leaders, initially advised people not to wear masks, Fauci later said that he was concerned that there wouldnât be enough protective equipment for health care workers. This was also early in the pandemic before public health experts fully knew how contagious the disease was and how it spread. Fauci explained that at that time, âwe were not aware that 40 to 45% of people were asymptomatic, nor were we aware that a substantial proportion of people who get infected get infected from people who are without symptoms. That makes it overwhelmingly important for everyone to wear a mask.â âSo when people say, âWell, why did you change your stance? And why are you emphasizing masks so much now when back then you didn't -- and in fact you even said you shouldn't because there was a shortage of masks?â Well the data now are very, very clear,â he said. âWe need to put that nonsense behind us about âwell, they keep changing their minds,â â Fauci said. As to Fauciâs other comments, while he occasionally sought to reassure Americans in the very early days of the virus, he consistently advised to follow CDC guidelines and that things could change.â Gia/pixiechik is hard pressed to tell the truth.

Just because you think I cherry picked a very good, important point made in the article, THAT WAS FACTUAL and it doesnât support what you were trying to stretch the truth about, does not negate it sweetheart. You left this off your quote. "But local officials and shelter operators said they feared that the actual number of infections could be much higher." It came directly after your quote. It was the very next line. I don't THINK you cherry picked one single quote to dismiss the rest of the article, I KNOW. You not only cherry picked it, you left off a very important end to that particular quote. Why? Because it wouldn't help you dismiss the article if you included it. Some pretty important points that you just dismissed: "Mr. Rivero, 45, came down with the coronavirus and spent the next two weeks isolated, along with his still-healthy wife, at a hotel with about 200 other migrants who had tested positive for the virus or had been exposed to someone who did. âI was healthy until I got locked up,â he said.As the United States vaccinates larger numbers of people and several states begin to reopen after seeing lower infection rates, the failure of U.S. authorities to test adult migrants for the coronavirus in jam-packed border processing centers is creating a potential for new transmissions, public health officials and shelter operators warn, even among migrants who may have arrived healthy at Americaâs door."More than 170,000 migrants crossed the border in March â many coming from countries still grappling with high infection rates â but the Border Patrol is conducting no testing for the coronavirus during the several days that the newly arrived migrants are in U.S. custody except in cases where migrants show obvious symptoms.""In Californiaâs Imperial Valley, where the Cuban couple was apprehended, 15 percent of the migrants released by the Border Patrol into the community between April 7 and April 13 tested positive for the virus â three times higher than the official average, according to the California Department of Social Services." And the operator of several large shelters where migrant children go after their release from border processing said one out of five children at those facilities was showing a positive test result on arrival. In theory, those who test positive could have infected other people before arriving here,â said Diego Piña Lopez, the program manager at Casa Alitas, a respite center for migrant families in Tucson, Ariz. Staff members there have been performing rapid coronavirus tests on dozens of migrant families each day after their release by the Border Patrol. Migrants who have a positive result are transferred to a shelter operated by the city. Others spend a night or two at the respite center and then board planes or buses to their destinations around the United States. Some of them could well have infections contracted in Border Patrol facilities that did not register on tests during the brief time they spent at the respite center, immigrant advocates warned, and could unknowingly expose others as they travel to join friends and family elsewhere in the country. People who were on the bus or in the cell with people who tested positive are going to test positive,â said Mark Lane, who runs a small humanitarian organization in San Diego, the Minority Humanitarian Foundation. âUber drivers, taxi drivers and people like us, people who are not fully vaccinated, are getting exposed. Today I took two guys who were released and put them in a T.S.A. line with 500 people on it.â"The mayor in Yuma, Ariz., Douglas J. Nicholls, said that before the local medical center took over testing, migrants were being dropped off by the immigration agents at the side of a road or in parking lots â with no testing for the coronavirus.âItâs completely crazy,â Mr. Nicholls said. â Itâs not the way we should be handling things during a pandemic.â Last week, the Texas attorney general, Ken Paxton, filed a lawsuit alleging that the federal government was âencouraging the spread of Covid-19 at the borderâ by keeping potentially infected migrants housed closely together in government custody.
Mr. Paxton said in a statement that President Biden was demonstrating âoutright disregard of the public health crisisâ by âwelcoming and encouraging mass gatheringsâ of migrants in border facilities."" Migrants themselves are expressing worry about spending so much time in close quarters after being apprehended by U.S. authorities. Jemerson Kener, a Brazilian who crossed the California border last month, tested positive for the coronavirus after spending four days at a crowded Border Patrol station. âIn a pavilion meant for about 20, there must have been 100 men,â he said.""Cindy Mendez, a Honduran girl who crossed the border in February to join her mother in the United States, said she tested positive for the coronavirus after being housed for two weeks in a processing center in Donna, Texas, that in March was operating at more than 700 percent of the capacity it was designed for. âWe were sleeping on the ground on top of each other,â she said.""Department of Homeland Security officials stressed that there were no facilities for testing efforts at Border Patrol processing stations, particularly for children, who have to be separated by gender and age. Children are now traveling to shelters in separate buses depending on their Covid-19 status, an improvement from past months. The agencyâs focus has been on moving migrants out of custody faster, which is key to lowering their exposure, and the strategy has been successful: Data released on Tuesday showed that the number of unaccompanied minors in custody had dropped 80 percent in the past month. But even tracking those migrants who have the coronavirus can be tough.Andrea Rudnik, whose nonprofit organization, Team Brownsville, provides aid to a hotel for coronavirus isolation in Brownsville, Texas, said many migrants who tested positive had disappeared before their mandatory separation period was up. âThey want to leave,â she said, âand if they realize, âHey, I can just take a taxi from this hotel back to the bus station and get out of there,â then theyâll do it."
Your one single cherry-picked quote does nothing to dismiss all of that. It is VERY clear YOU did not read the article or you would not have attempted to dismiss it. You did nothing but scan the article for something you could pull out to dismiss the article. YOU did not read the article or you would have known that one quote doesn't dismiss the whole article.
Itâs so funny watching you grasp and struggle with truth and reality. You're projecting. It IS interesting to watch you struggle with truth and reality. And for the DeSantis pointâgo to any reliable news source. Youâll find it there. In other words, you made up that statistic simply to push your opinion. Nope. Not at all, poor, sad, delusional Gia. Problem with your analogy is saying all lies are the same when they arenât. Politicians lie, President Obama admitted as much. But there are lies and then there are lies. There different types of lies. Actually there are 7 types of lies. I looked it up. In order to do a true comparison one has to compare the same type of lies. trump is a pathological liar. He lies about everything. But as president he lied about two subjects that put peopleâs lives at risk and the countryâs democracy at risk. From CLC⊠linkâ Compiling the Truth: A Resource to Refute Trumpâs âStolen Electionâ Liesâ& From The Atlantic⊠linkâ All the Presidentâs Lies About the Coronavirusâ
I mean not even Nixon lied this bad. Now you find lies of this caliber that a Democrat has told then you can do a true comparison. Because until you do, your constant attempt to compare trump to President Biden and VP Harris looks kind of silly. We're not comparing lies like Biden or Democrats trying to preserve the fun of a surprise party. Biden outright lies. Quit finding reasons that it's okay if you're a Democrat. That's not honest. How many lives were put at risk because Fauci lied and said wearing a mask wouldn't help any? How many people died because of that? We'll never know because he is spared the hate of the left to investigate and dissect every utterance, every breath he takes into oblivion. How many people did Whitmer and Cuomo kill by mandating infected seniors go back into nursing homes? How come no one ever holds any of them accountable for their actions during these discussions? Gia Lie #1 & #2 Cumuo nor Whitmer did NOT mandate that nursing homes take Covid positive patients. Thatâs a propaganda lie that was created by Michael Caputo and had been rated as false. Gia Lie #3 Gia, again purposely leaves out context. âEVIDENCE While Fauci, along with several other US health leaders, initially advised people not to wear masks, Fauci later said that he was concerned that there wouldnât be enough protective equipment for health care workers. As to Fauciâs other comments, while he occasionally sought to reassure Americans in the very early days of the virus, he consistently advised to follow CDC guidelines and that things could change.â Nothing to be âheld accountableâ for in the context that you mean, because what youâve stated are just proven lies. Those lies donât need discussed.
