i slept in my childhood bedroom in the home I grew up in.
It’s a dormer room with the slanted ceilings. It’s one of two guest rooms my mom has gone to town on. It’s essentially a doll house room or the cover of Country Living magazine.
So many flower patterns - the wallpaper, the quilt, the curtains with the big bow tiebacks, the ribbon woven through the wicker trash can. There are three rocking chairs in the room and big fluffy throw rugs over painted hardwood floors. There’s a wreath on the door and one on the wall and one on the wicker end table with the crocheted lace.
I feel like I’m at a bed and breakfast. Or Goldilock’s house.
Are you on a pullout couch? An air mattress? A hotel room?

I’m in bed with ds2 right now pea-ing and watching the Macy’s parade. We will head to the Magic Kingdom for lunch and then Thanksgiving dinner at the Grand Floridian. It is the first year since I got married 21 years ago that I haven’t cooked on Thanksgiving.

I'd love to do a DH & I trip and stay at Boardwalk so we can just walk to Epcot! Enjoy your magical vacation!

I slept in a hotel bed last night. We are on vacation in Cancun until Saturday! Best way to spend Thanksgiving, laying by the pool with a drink in hand.

I'm kind of glad my in-laws don't have more of their new home finished. It probably would have been on an air mattress or couch next to my son who only sleeps in a recliner.

Howard Johnson Lubbock. We're On the way home from a little road trip to Canadian, Texas with 4 youngest grandsons. Its One area of Texas that we had never explored. Stayed on a guest ranch in the cutest little house. Had a great time with kids and their parents got a little break.

I stayed at a Quality Inn last night in St. Augustine. Had Chinese for lunch and spent the day with the kids at the St. Augustine Alligator farm. Dinner will be whatever we can find open ☺. Then I'll drop my dd back off at her dorm tonight.

This may be the first Thanksgiving weekend where I sleep in my bed every single night!!! (At least since I can remember anything about thanksgivings--probably before junior high...) We are supposed to be in Nebraska right now but the in-laws got a lot of snow and tomorrow's weather isn't great so we stayed home. We'll still go to my Mom's gathering on Saturday, but we might make it a day trip.

My own bed. We stayed home this year because I have to leave at the crack of dawn Sunday for a week-long business trip to the NE.

We aren't traveling this year, but it is our first Thanksgiving in the house I grew up in. My Dad moved to an independent living apartment and DH and I decided to buy their house.
So I sleep in the master bedroom now, but so many memories.
In fact, it was 32 years ago today (Thanksgiving) that my boyfriend came to dinner and met my large family. Believe it or not he hung in there and he and I have been together for every holiday since. We celebrate our 30th anniversary this February.
