Has anyone ordered replacement foam cushions for a couch? Our couch is only three years old but the cushions have compressed and aren’t as comfortable. My husband is a big man (6 foot and 350 pounds) so I’d like to get replacement foam cushions that would work well for heavier people.
The couch is still in good shape other than the cushion inserts so I don’t want to replace the entire couch.
Does anyone have experience buying from online sites to replace cushion inserts? I’ve looked up how to measure for the order but found several sites and wanted to see if anyone had any good or bad experiences they could share.

Following - I added some foam to mine, but they don't look as smooth as I would like.

Do you have stores in your area that sell different sizes and densities of foam that you could try out first?

We've been talking about doing the same thing. We have a couple foam manufacturers here(huge trailer factory area), we're going to contact them to see if they sell to the public.

I recently bought replacement foam for one of my couch cushions. There are two “foam” stores in my area. I took the cushion in and they made a recommendation (who knew there were so many choices for foam). It made such a difference. I don’t remember the exact price but it wasn’t s super cheap.

It’s been a few years, but we ultimately ended up getting ours done locally. It was expensive, but worth it. We had checked out the cushion foam that Joann’s and another DIY place had and we felt it was not nearly dense enough for a frequently used chair and couch. The local place we used had three densities for us to choose from. I was also glad I was able to take the cushions in for them to measure because there is a better way to measure to make sure you get a good firm enough seat and an accurate price estimate.

I ordered some online many years ago and they worked out great. I don't remember the name of the place but I'll see if I can find it. Not sure they are still around.

I'm having the same issue. My current solution is a body pillow across the cushions and a sofa cover on top.
