We are going on vacation and our hotel room has a huge soaking tub, which I plan to use to my full advantage. I’m looking for salts/bubble bath that will feel and smell really rich and luxurious and leave me with super soft skin. What are your favorites? I have some of Bath & Body Works salts & bubble bath in my cart (Vanilla), but wanted to see if there were others before I check out.

My absolute favorite is the Bvlgari “Blanc”scent. I discovered it at the The Cloister at Sea Island that we frequent and from the first time I stayed there years ago to this day, hands down the scent makes me feel fabulously luxuriously wonderfully indulgent—sexy, comfy, relaxed, and every other great description you can imagine! Lol. I only wear that and one other scent. I have friends who would also frequent Sea Island and when they go they save me all the bath products!!! Last time they visited me they brought be a huge grocery bag sized tote full up of them! Sadly The Cloister has self branded their own products that are not the Bvlgari brand. It is so wonderful smelling that when I would use the hair conditioner, and I’d go to scrapbook crops with friends, we had one friend would would walk behind my chair and stop and dig her fingers into my hair and just inhale the scent (got myself free hair massages from her lol!!!). One night her hubby stopped by and she jumped up grabbed him, pulled him over to my seat and grabbed my hair and said SMELL THIS !!!

My favorite is good, old Dr. Teal's. I put a half a cup of his lavendar scented epsom salts in my bath and then use his complementary bubble bath in lavendar, as well.

I was looking at those, especially as pain and fatigue will be an issue, but I’ve read that using them can cause stomach issues. That’s the last thing I want on vacation! Do you think that will be the case if I already take magnesium at night? Even if it’s a different form? And does it make your skin really soft? Nevada is so dry, and I had an issue in Boulder where I actually needed body lotion. I never do at home except on my forearms. papercrafteradvocate and Belle I will check those out! I have some returns so that makes these free, right?

My absolute favorite is the Bvlgari “Blanc”scent. omg, this is my favorite soaking scent too! it's just so relaxing without having that fruity, vanilla or coconut smell to it. it has a very elegant scent to it. i love all the products in the Blanc line. the soaps, lotions, bath products, etc.

I’m a fan of most things bath by Lush. They have a wide assortment of bath melts which are oils and leave your skin so soft. They also have bath bombs that are large enough that you can split them in two and still have plenty for each bath. The downside is that Lush isn’t inexpensive. I always shop their day after Christmas sale where all the holiday products are half-off. It is insane - but I usually am able to snag enough to last much of the year.

I logged in just to add my .2 about Lush! LOVE them!! Also all their products are cruelty-free and they do a ton for environmental causes. They are also super fun and it is just a great store to browse in, in person or online. Yum! www.lushusa.com/charity-pot.html

I'm hoping they will sell a shower steamer type bar soon. My favorite is the comforter bar, Rose Jam, and Snow fairy (bubblegum smell, not for everyone). Definitely check out a Lush store if you have one nearby.

Do you think that will be the case if I already take magnesium at night? I take magnesium 2x a day, and I've never had any issue with using Epsom salts in baths. Obviously YMMV. I can't really speak to the dryness question - it's not been a problem for me, but I tend to have oily/normal skin. I like the Dr. Teal's green tea scent. There's also a pink Himalayan salt with orange oil or something like that that is lovely!

I forgot about Lush. And we had one open up fairly recently about 25 minutes away where I do the majority of my in person shopping anyway. There's also a pink Himalayan salt with orange oil or something like that that is lovely!Too many to choose from! Maybe I will have to take more than a couple of baths. I love the Bath and Body works Stress Relieve Eucalyptus Spearmint bath salts. I've been using them for years. I think I ordered some of this earlier, the salts and the bubble bath, but I either love eucalyptus or hate it. Couldn’t remember!

Your body gets used to where you live and when taken out of your element, it reacts differently. I'm not sure about the magnesium question.

I like Lush stuff but I can't afford to indulge very often and I hate cleaning the tub afterwards. ( I seem to pick ones that leaves the tub a rainbow with glitter, sticks and leaves LOL ) My favorite is old school VitaBath, I love the way my skin feels afterward, the scents are nice, strong but not overwhelming.

Musee bath bombs! They smell great, are so moisturizing, and have a little surprise in each one. They're made here in MS, I ride my bike past the factory several times a week when I'm going out through the rural farmland. The company was started as a way to help a jobless man find steady work, now they employ underprivileged women and people with special needs. It's such a wonderful resource for the community.

I'm going to also recommend Lush! Their company and products are amazing!! I take regular baths and Dr. Teal's is my least favorite and a bag of it is very heavy (it takes insane amount to soften the water compared to others and the scents are just okay to me). I regularly get BBW bath salts and like those - they have some new smaller containers of salts for the holidays that I would like to try. I have been liking the Scentsy Soaks lately - I really like the Apricot Vanilla out of the 5 (!) I currently have.
If you get Lush, I stick to the plainer bath bombs that don't have glitter or are crazy colored. I don't care for the bath oils - they leave me and my tub too greasy. For their bombs, Avobath, Sex Bomb and Twilight are my favorites. And I cut them in 1/2 (for a 2-person tub) and the bath is very scented and soft.

I ordered shower bombs/steamers from a Canadian company on Etsy and a new shop in our mall had some (May be a Canadian store as well) so hopefully you can find them They are a Christmas present for DD and MIL so can’t vouch for them yet but they smell amazing

I passed by a Lush Store today so added to my stash. I’ve got too much to choose from now I got Butterball and So White. And they are both white with no glitter or other stuff that might stick to the bathtub for housekeeping to have to clean. And as I was waiting to check out I made the mistake of smelling some caramel scented body gel that promptly went in my basket!

I stayed in a hotel with my niece and she used a Lush bath bomb in the hotel bath. When we drained the water out the bath was stain bright blue and it wouldn’t wash off. I literally had to use my tooth brush and toothpaste to scrub all around the bath to remove the stain! I’m not sure why it stained that particular bath. My favourite bath and shower gels are Molton Brown. They have such lovely smells and you only need a small amount to get loads of bubbles.
