For those of you participating in the card swap, I made 40 cards yesterday using the Kringle & Co. 6x6 pad. It got the last pad at my LSS back in August.

Thanks, gramma. I have the Paper Wishes gnome dazzles. Even made a card with one on Friday. They are a little more work than the SSS ones, which were dies. These are cute, and can be backed with different papers, or put on acetate which can be coloured from behind. You just have to fussy cut these little guys out. I also found some gnome cut files on Silhouette which I can use, but haven't tried those. Don't know why this got to me so much. SSS has refunded my money to PayPal. Have ordered some similar papers and a stamp & die set from Scrapbooking.com which will get here at some point. All of my MUST-MAKE holiday cards are done and ready to mail. I just wanted to play with those little gnomes from that SSS kit. I feel like a 3 year old stamping her foot and blubbering "But it's not what I WANTED!!!"

Oh - I thought you had a Cricut or Silhouette. No way would I try to fussy cut those !!! I DO have a Silhouette, but have no idea how to trace and cut an image like the Paper Wishes gnomes and trees. And I CAN cut some gnomes I picked up Silhouette cut files for over the weekend. But I think what caught my imagination with the SSS kit was there was a set of dies, so you could cut the whole image in the beard colour, then pick just what part of the included pp you wanted to use for the hats, for the clothes to set on top of it. I even have some sticky backed specialty papers I could have used, too. Maybe recut the beard to give it some depth. Like I said, I CAN recreate the gnomes. I am just still pouting cuz I can't do it the way I wanted to... I need to get over it before the universe decides to morph into my mother from 60+ years ago who would say, "Do you want me to give you something to cry about???"

Thanks, KikiPea. I downloaded that but not sure which of the files is compatible with my Silhouette. The one I opened is the sketch one.

When you download cut files for the Silhouette you want the SVG files. Then you can resize.

So sorry grammadee, what a bummer to not receive what you ordered! I know SSS is out of the kit, but if I were on their customer service team, I'd send you the gnome stamp and die as well as refunding your kit (since those are available separately). Even if they're not in stock now, they could send them as soon as they receive them. That would be the right thing for them to do!

I may have missed a post. Did SSS refund you because they are being or nice or because they are not sending the right item? Have you heard back from them?
I have only had to contact them twice and both times they were very good. I hope everything works out for you.

I have only had to contact them twice and both times they were very good. I hope everything works out for you. No word from SSS at all. I have the message from PayPal to say my purchase price for the kit has been refunded. Since I have received no further shipping notice, I am assuming that the refund is because I was not happy with which kit came in the mail.

Sorry Grammadee, I still haven't received my kit. I emailed them but have not heard from them. Will call them on Monday. So disappointed with SSS.

Wow, you should check out the comments on the latest SSS card kit reveal video! There are a ton of angry customers talking about how they haven't received their kit or a response, or received a substituted paper pad. Looks like you're not alone grammadee!

I still haven't received my kit. I ordered November 15. It cleared customs in Chicago December 9 and then I have no tracking in Canada. Everyday, I cross my fingers and hope it's arriving. At this point, it will be for next year in any case. I'm not making any more cards this year.

Haven't watched all the video, wendifful, but enough to think I will like the January kit IF it gets to me. Not as excited about this one as I was about December's. I have lots of snowflake stamps and dies already, but I like how these ones stack. SSS sent an invoice yesterday and I paid it. Guess we will see. If there is another mixup, I will cancel my subscription.
