His kindergarten classmates came to cheer him on "A class of kindergartners in Michigan made a unique field trip Thursday to witness a classmate’s adoption. Students from Wealthy Elementary School in Grand Rapids ventured to a Kent County courtroom to support their classmate Michael Clark Jr. and his acceptance into his forever home. Michael’s classmates waved pink and red hearts attached to sticks to show their support. When it was time to bang the gavel with Michael’s parents on the judge’s bench, they cheered and waved their creations more vigorously. Michael smiled." Was totally teary about this story yesterday. Shared it with everyone at work who would listen.
As an adoptive mom, I love that it's showing the excitement and joy of the process to kids who might only think of him as the one who doesn't "match" his parents.

We were visiting with a judge recently and he said the only enjoyable cases he deals with are adoptions. He said everything else is stressful. This is a sweet story.

I saw this news story. That is one adorable little boy. That bow tie is too much!  I also love how the judge was wearing festive jewelry. Courtrooms can be a scary place. |

My cousin’s son adopted and the boy is the spitting image of dad. So close I have to wonder? It truly is amazing how souls blend to become family. |
