I have two of the blue capped ones and on both of them, i've lost the needle. Like, I have no idea where it is. It happened on one, I moved all my glossy accents to the other one. Then when I went to use it on Sat, the needle was missing again?!? What?!? I don't know if it goes up into the cap and is stuck there or down into the glue, but I need another alternative. Does anyone have the ultrafine ones from Darice and if you do, how are they? Or other options?

It might just be stuck on the needle on the cover. Can you use pliers to pull it off, then insert back in hole on the the top of the cap? I didn't like the fineline bottles because I have trouble feeding the little needle in the cap into the applicator needle. I use this one for glossy accents. Every time I pull the little cap/cover off the needle is stuck to it and comes out of the bottle. I have to pull it off the cap and re-insert it in the bottle. Also after each use, I tap the bottom of the bottle on the table and give it a squeeze and tap again to get all the GA out of the applicator tube. If it clogs I use a quilting pin to poke in there to clear it.

I also gave up on the Fineline bottles because they kept blocking and have switched to the ones that GiantsFan linked.

This is the one I have - love it! I bought it in a 2-pack from my LSS (which I would link to, but it isn't available online from them) about a year ago and the 1st one is still going strong without plugging up. I put Tombow liquid glue in mine and store it upside down so it's always ready, since that glue is a little thicker. www.amazon.com/Lychee-Precision-Applicator-Quilling-Origami/dp/B01FVEQNKAedited to add: and you'll note, the silicone cover is attached, so you don't lose it!

Thanks for posting this. I've been looking for an alternative to the fineline bottles. Ordering now. Just a heads up for anyone interested. It is only $3 and free shipping but shipping will take 3-6 weeks.

I gave up on them too. I also lost the needle, had the cap break apart and even when they were working, getting adhesive to flow out was very difficult.
I've just discovered Art Institute Glitter Glue with the fine tip attachment and oh my... it is perfect! My search for the perfect wet adhesive is over.

I found the Art Glitter Glue last summer & won't buy any other anymore for my 3D paper items. The only problem with it is that it can't be allowed to freeze so they won't ship to cold areas in the winter.

I also love the ScraPerfect lids. I have several. I got mine at Walmart.com a few years ago and had free shipping to the store. I don't know WHY they have such a high price now. There was a list on the ScraPerfect website so I could figure out what lid I needed. The lids usually come with an extra tip, usually a different size. I have a link below to both sites. ScraPerfect has a great list of facs that help you keep them clean and working! I hadn't used one of mine in several months and it dried a little when I opened it over the weekend. Put it in a bowl of very hot water, soaked it a bit and clean again! ScraPerfect at WalmartScraPerfect Website

Another vote for the Art Glitter Glue. I use it so much it stays out on my desk next to my ATG.

I’ve been using the ultrafine tips that you mentioned in your OP. I get them from Heartfelt Creations, along with their glue, and they work well. I do have to clean them out from time to time, so I have 2 tips. If my tip is clogged, I put it in a small thing of water to soak for easier cleaning, and I put my other ultrafine tip on my glue bottle. I don’t have to transfer glue to a different bottle. It works on most glue bottles, I think.
