We have the original wall oven with microwave above it that were in the house when it was built (we were second owners two years later). The house was built in 1999. They are holding up well! The next oldest are the washer/dryer set we bought after we’d been living here about 1-2 years. So those are about 17 years old.

I have said it before on this board but my stove is a 1940 gas Roper Range. In it's day it was the Cadillac of stoves. Still is in my estimation. It was in this house when we moved in in 1971 and I will never, ever give it up. We have completely dismantled it twice over the years, replaced the insulation and re-porcelained the top. Although I have thought about replacing the stove with a new one a few times I know that I would regret it. It has six burners, a huge broiler and bakes like a dream. I use it every day.
The last knob has finally disintegrated and I have been trying to figure out how to fabricate new ones for the last year. I can't just order new ones. I have the old ones to make molds from so eventually I will get new ones made. Pliers are my friend right now. My daughter says when I die she has dibs on it. 😆
I also have my mother-in-law's 1950s Touch and Sew machine. It is a spare though. I also have my newer sewing machine.

I don't know the workings of how to do it, but since you have a old knob can it be scanned and made using a 3d printer?

I know what I am going to ask for, for Christmas. That brought a tear to my eye when I read your suggestion. So simple. I really, really do love my stove. THANK YOU!

My clock radio on my bedside was bought in 1990. My iron is from the early 90s also.

Nothing big, but my husband and I received a waffle iron and electric skillet for our wedding in 1992. After 27 years, both get used frequently and are still going strong!
My mom and dad received a toaster as a wedding gift 60 years ago and they still use it several times a week.

Rice cooker
DJ got it as a graduation gift in 2000, before we were married.
I’d love a new one but this one works. I would have chosen a diff one.

ETA: I want to add that MIL has the original wall oven that was put into her house in the 60s. I can’t bake anything in it. It is totally not calibrated properly but is so old it can no longer be fixed. Some appliances need to go.

I'm honestly not sure about our appliances... our washer and dryer are probably 10-ish years old, and our refrigerator is somewhere around 12 years, maybe? I have some small appliances that are older- I have a crock pot that's probably 15-20 years old, by now, and a hand mixer that's probably at LEAST 20 years old. They still work fine on those odd occasions that I use them. And, not really an appliance, but our *big* TV is a 65 inch rear-projection TV that's 13 years old, and it still has a GREAT picture!! (it's an odd liquid-crystal-on-silicon' technology that was cutting-edge when we got it, but it didn't catch on, so it's tough to find the bulbs for it, now... but my DH will NOT give it up, because it's lasted so long, and it still works.) ETA: I got my very basic Singer (? I think- either that or Kenmore) sewing machine when I was in college, so it's about 30 years old. It has a dial on the front to change the stitch type; it will do your basic straight, zig-zag, buttonhole, and maybe one or two other stitches. I've had it cleaned and serviced a couple times, and it still works fine for what I need to do, which is mostly the odd craft project or scrapbooking-- sewing on paper. Also, unrelated to the topic of this thread...there must be other Americans here who are amazed by the OP's first sentence... "Today is election day in the UK and as a result the news channels can't cover politics until the polls close at 10.00pm." Can you (Americans) imagine our news broadcasts if we had that rule. omg.... Wouldn't that be wonderful??? it WOULD be wonderful, wouldn't it?!? to be honest, that's what caught my eye about the post first, more than the 'appliance' question! ah, well- we can dream, at least...

We moved into this home as a new build 5 years ago & so all the appliances were new then. We do have a deep freezer though, that we bought in 2001. It’s been though 5 moves and still runs great. My oldest small appliance is a Cuisinart food processor. I remember I bought it in 2003 because that’s when I decided to start making my own baby food for ds2. It got used a lot those first 2 years. Now, I may use it once or twice a year.

We have the small appliances from our wedding in 1980.
Love our harvest gold crock pot (my friend got me a decal that said "unplug me, Jack") and our Oster faded yellow blender! They both work like champs! I got hubby an Instant Pot, but our crock pot is staying around! My friends crack up when they see the huge harvest gold clay pot though!! Room for lotsa meatballs!

I have my moms sunbeam mixmaster from the 50’s. I still use it regularly. I had to replace the cord but it’s going strong. Oh, and my mom’s Elna from the late 50’s as well. A gear just broke on it so I have to fine the part. It sewed like a champ.

major appliance? my small chest freezer my mum bought me for Christmas 1997 small appliance? my Oster kitchen centre c. 1980 that was handed down from my mum - it's really cool and I have nearly all the extras - juicer, sausage maker, pasta maker, ice cream maker, blender, food processer, mixer... here's a similar one I had that Oster Kitchen Center(in white) until a few years ago. I used the mixer, blender, and ice cream maker lots when my boys were young. I used to love that thing. I sold it when I decided a mixer and blender are all I needed anymore.

it's not really an appliance but have an old GE electric hand mixer that used to belong to MIL. DH already had it when we got married so it's at least that old. i also have a new Kitchen hand mixer and truth be told, i use the old GE way more than the Kitchen Aid. the beaters are thicker and it seems to have more power. i hope it never gives out or i'll have to find a replacement of Ebay or something.
if we are talking appliance, about 20 years ago, we had MIL's old Maytag washer dryer set. that was the old style washer that filled to the top with water. the dryer got so nice and hot that we joked it can dry anything in 10 minutes. we replace that set with a HE washer and dryer set. man, i miss that Maytag set.

My iron was a wedding gift in 1992. Most of our large appliances date to 2005 when we bought our current home and replaced the stove, dishwasher, and washer and dryer.
