Love all the answers above. I’ll just add, speaking for myself...sometimes I don’t know how to tell others something like this without feeling like I’m being snarky, so I say nothing because I think they’ll judge me instead of the other person.
In this case, an alternate answer could have been, “I guess she’s ok. We don’t talk much since she tried to f**k my husband.”

Because I wouldn't want to give her the satisfaction. (She'll just cry victim and claim you as the bitch.) She didn't seduce your husband. (Hopefully) I ignore people like that and don't give them the attention they crave.
On the other hand, I'd be happy to hold your earrings if you wanted to kick her ass in public.

i would take the higher road there... who wants to be dragged into the mud with the pig?? eventually, people like your SIL continue to do what they do and people learn who they are. i don't believe it's *my* job to yell from the rooftops. those dumbasses will do themselves in, eventually. You will have grace and class if you take the high road - and the truth will eventually come out to others.

I sure wish I knew why we treat people better than they treat us. That is the story of my life--treating people better than they treat me. I hope before I die, I can figure out WHY.
