I was watching the Holiday Baking Championship and noticing a few people wearing their rings while working dough. I always remove my rings when I need to work any type of pastry/cookie dough or when making things like meatballs. Do you remove your rings/bracelet?

Yes, I remove my rings before handling dough. Who wants to clean dough out of a ring? I never wear a watch or bracelets at home so that isn't an issue.

I always remove everything when I enter my home, including my wedding rings. I never wear jewelry in the house for this reason. I can't cook/clean anything with my rings/bracelets on.
I can't imagine trying to cook with all that ick all over it that is odd to me too!

I leave my ring on. The only time it has come off was for surgery. Other than that it is always on

Rings and bracelets definitely come off when I’m cooking or cleaning

I leave all 4 of my rings on unless I’m making dough or rolling things with my hands. Watch and bracelet stay on all the time. It’s not a big deal to me to clean the rings. I actually enjoy it.

I used to remove my rings, but a few years ago I started using gloves while instead.
I've never removed a watch, fitbit or bracelet while baking/cooking.

I always take my rings off too, I don't wear bracelets so that's not an issue. I don't like wearing long sleeves when I'm in the kitchen either - short sleeves or long sleeves pulled or rolled up

I dont wear any of my rings or bracelets unless we are going out... I work in a factory and we are not allowed jewelry or it could get caught in the machinery... so its part of my fancy dressing up... if I'm just running to do errands then i probably don't have any rings on....
So nope not wearing them as i cook or clean...

I don’t wear rings at all, but I do wear my Apple Watch unless I’m sleeping. It’s not in my way and cleans up easy if necessary. Usually if I’ve been cooking greasy or doing yard work I wear it in the shower so it gets a good cleaning.

It’s not a big deal to me to clean the rings. I used to think the same thing, but then after cleaning my rings and seeing how dirty they get, I realized that all that built up lotion, soap, grossness that gets stuck in the setting or under my bands might work their way back into the dough/food so now off they come.

I rarely wear any rings. But, yes, they come off to cook.
The Fitbit stays on.

Not usually, but if I’m working with sticky dough (which is hardly ever!) I would.

It depends on what I'm making but for anything mixed with my hands or likely to make my rings messy, I take them off. I have a ring holder at my kitchen sink as well as a jewelry dish on my bathroom counter. If I take them off, they are in one of those two places. I usually take my watch off as well for messy cooking or for cleaning as it's a dressy watch not meant for exposure to water or chemicals.

I take everything off when I am at home - rings, bracelets, watch and contacts. I will wear my Apple Watch sometimes when at home, but that would be it.

I take my rings off when mixing dough or meat with my hands. And any time I handle raw chicken or turkey. I have a ring stand on the window ledge above my kitchen sink and they go there. Otherwise, I always wear my rings.

This is the huge reason I can not Lydia bartali. All the bracelets she wears.
Yes bare skin only when cooking and cleaning.

I used to take my rings off when at home, but thanks to arthritis and bone spurs in my fingers, my rings are either staying on or staying off. I choose to leave my wedding ring as its the hardest one to get over my knuckle. My husband keeps bugging me to get it hinged, but its $1200 so no.

The only jewelry I wear in the house are earrings. I never wear anything else. I don't want to lose them.

If I am mixing something with my hands, I take my ring off. I also prefer to have short sleeves or pushed up sleeves for any cooking.

I really only wear my rings on public. After work, on the weekends, on vacation, I like clean, unadorned hands. Years ago a co worker tried to shame me for not wearing my wedding ring 24/7. She claimed she would never remove her wedding ring. I guess she didn't, even when she had an affair.

When using dough (pizza, bread, hand formed stuff) or stuff my rings go directly into, I take them off. When generally cooking/baking (cookies, banana bread, etc) I leave then on.

This. To me, it’s less about my rigs getting dirty, but knowing how dirty jewelry already is! Rings especially are filthy. They don’t get clean by just washing your hands before cooking.

The minute I walk in the house, all jewelry comes off, including wedding ring. It, especially, is never worn around the house. It was custom made and I'm not taking a chance on the diamond coming loose.

I don’t wear any rings or bracelets in the first place, so no I don’t. I do wear my watch all the time but I’m generally not mixing dough with my wrist. My watch never even comes close to the dough so it wouldn’t be an issue. To me it would be nasty to mix dough with rings on simply because of all the gunk that collects in the tiny spaces you can’t clean.
