I remember last time I had one, it did say something about not eating popcorn, nuts or beans in the days leading up to it, but there is nothing that says that this time. I am going to the movies today and want to have popcorn. I will be doing my prep tomorrow.
What do you think?

I wouldn't. My instructions said to abstain from those items 3 days before beginning my prep. I would NOT do anything that may cause me to repeat the test because there was remaining residue. But I'll validate your disappointment. Popcorn at the movies is the best tasting popcorn.

I wouldn't (and I'm sad for you to miss out). I followed a low fiber diet for 4-5 days before the prep and it was much easier than it I thought it would be.

I wouldn't. I followed a low residue diet for several days before. My prep was a breeze.

I wouldn't either. I'd stick with soup. I did that for a few days prior to mine and prep was easier on my stomach and bootay.....

Today should be eating lightly...you're at a step below clear liquids. I would absolutely not do popcorn

no. but I would buy some and save it for after your test. It will still taste good.
I think I did smoothies for two days leading up to mine because I didn't want to drink the liquid. I had to take something like 27 pills, but it was worth it to not have to drink that nasty stuff. And I had no issues at all.
hope your test goes well!

I've prepped w/the pills twice and they are a G-dsend. However, I can't prep that way anymore, because my motility team won't take the risk. There's a black box warning that they can cause immediate renal failure, especially in the elderly. I'm not quite elderly, but they're not gonna risk it. RATS!
OP, I would err on the side of an easy prep. I wish you the easiest prep possible. Colonoscopy prep sucks, but the procedure is easy.

I was told no nuts or seeds for a week ahead of time. I also chose to eat a low fiber foods for the week prior—no raw veggies, etc. there was no way I was going to ruin the prep and run the risk of having to do it again.

I guess it isn't worth that. I'm glad you let me know. thanks. I think I will be 62 or 63 when I have to do it again. I guess I will just do the liquid.

I have a strong gag reflex, don't like gatorade drinks and knew that trying to get down all the liquid for the usual prep would not be easy. I told my doctor that and they prescribed me a newer prep called Clenpiq (approved in 2017?) - it's two 5 oz bottles of a cranberry flavored liquid that you drink a few hours apart. I used a straw and washed them down with water. It was so much easier than I expected and worked great for me. It costs more - $60 for my copay that they got down to $40 with a coupon from the manufacturer - but totally worth it to me. Just thought I'd share it for others like me.

Ds has had both but can only do mag cit as he developed an allergy to miralax/golytely. 😳

Curious why they encourage low fiber leading up. Isn't the point to clean you out?

(Can you say, "Denial"?) One word no matter what they use...deodorizers. We would ask for hospital approved pop up deodorizers and place them all over DS' hospital room. And chux pads. Lots and lots of chux pads.
