I am sitting in Urgent care with DH who punctured his finger on a broken dish. It is very deep and right at the base of his finger where it bends so thought it should get checked out. He is not the best patient. There are other people here and he is struggling to wait his turn.
I know he will be just fine, maybe stitches and keep it immobilized to heal.
Hopefully others are having good days.

Oh no! I hope he is okay! Mine is out taking down decorations with extreme left arm pain. Hopefully, we won’t be joining you guys at Urgent Care.

They just called him back so hoping it goes quickly. The triage nurse thought he would just need stitches.

There are a lot of parents and children here today. Hopefully it is nothing major for any of them. It is never fun being sick.

It is a heart attack symptom. Thank you for your concern. He has done something with his muscles, nerves. I think it might be carpal tunnel. He has had it for a week. It’s hard for him to lift or type.

It was a little much for urgent care so they sent us to the emergency room. Once we got there he was treated right away. He did get stitches and his hand is immobilized. Just waiting to be discharged.
He has made it clear he is not doing dishes anymore. We will see about that.

I'm sorry to hear it. I hope he heals quickly.
May this be the worst of 2020 for your family, and the rest be much happier.

Sorry for your husband. Yeah, my year isn't starting out great. Cancelled party plans to take drugs and binge watch Great British Baking Show marathon. I had a filling redone on a back molar and it was being sensitive for a bit, dentist said may need root canal but it stopped and all was fine. Until a holiday sports injury occurred. While watching football over the holidays, I bit down wrong on a hard and crunchy kettle chip and it cut/injured the gum right above that tooth. And of course I did exactly what I would tell my kids NOT to do and kept touching to see if it still hurt. Well after all the touching and tongue poking, of course it did. Add to that I think I had a sinus infection thing starting and yeah, ouch! The gum/cheek area starting swelling. My dentist looked at it yesterday, yep infected. Yay. Antibiotics and face pain got worse before it got better. Thus the GBBS marathon. This morning is better, antibiotics are kicking in and loosening things up. Now I get to go see if I actually need that root canal tomorrow. Happy New Year. woo to the f*ing hoo. said in jest of course. It's just one of those things that happens. Just happened to happen on NYE. Upside: its gotta get better. Right?!

Clearly dishes pose a clear and present danger.

He has made it clear he is not doing dishes anymore. We will see about that. To be honest, I'd probably try to see if I could get that same sweet deal too. But in all seriousness, I'm glad he got the treatment he needed and mends quickly.
