I am so upset with SSS because my December 2019 card kit has not arrived. They are now sending out the Jan 2020 kit. I emailed them 3 times with a "copy" of the paid PayPal invoice for the kit and left 3 messages on the customer service line in the past month. No replies to any of my emails or voice messages. I refuse to buy anything else from them unless this get resolved. I know other people received their Dec 2019 kit late or a different one but I have received nothing or heard from them. Now, someone on a FB stamping group is raving about their great customer service so is it just me or something?

Well THAT stinks! They had substituted the November kit for my December kit and after I had sent them several messages with “VERY disappointed,” in the subject line, my kit price was refunded through PayPal, with never a word from SSS. Did you check your PayPal account?
They got back to me the other day when I asked for a tracking number on my January kit to say it had been shipped December 30th, but “there may be some delays in shipping to Canada”. Maybe they should just ship to continental USA.

Sorry, Grammadee, I was hoping to get my kit in time to lend you the gnome die. I will check my PayPal account to see if there was a refund. They never replied so I don't know if it is still being shipped or was refunded.

Do not email them. Call them on the telephone, ask for customer service.

They never replied so I don't know if it is still being shipped or was refunded. Sorry to say I don't think you will be receiving that December kit. They were substituting the paper pads in some of them and whole kits for others. As far as I can figure out, they completely underestimated the demand for the gnome dies. When they sent the email touting discounts on all dies, I thought I would pick up the larger one to be shipped with my next kit. But once I had chosen it and gone to checkout I was told I had to remove it because it was unavailable. I hope that your money was refunded. if not, I would definitely call them.

Do not email them. Call them on the telephone, ask for customer service. It is getting difficult to find phone numbers for companies. I wanted to call a stamp company recently, and there was no phone number to call. Their only contact info was an email. Silhouette went to email or online chat only. I suspect that too many overly irate customers have contributed to companies eliminating the phone option for complaints. Unfortunately, emails take longer and sometimes are ignored entirely, depending on the company.

That is so aggravating!! Can you dispute the charge through Paypal?
I ordered from SSS once and it was a terrible experience that I never ordered from them again.
Good luck getting this resolved!

Same. It was a few years ago where my Halloween stuff came really late for Halloween. Never again. They seem super disorganized.

Same. It was a few years ago where my Halloween stuff came really late for Halloween. Never again. They seem super disorganized. So it's not just the two of us in Alberta? The only thing that seems to be coming through regularly are the ads! This is my first experience with them. I signed up for the monthly kit plan b/c of that December kit which I didn't get. If the January one doesn't get here in a timely manner, I think I will attempt to pull out of the plan. One good thing is they request payment each month rather than bill automatically. paperaddict, did you find out if PayPal or your credit card refunded you?

You could try gethuman.com to get the phone number. I have used that site several times, most recently when I needed to call Amazon.

You could try gethuman.com to get the phone number. I have used that site several times, most recently when I needed to call Amazon. Amazon does have a phone number listed on their site that I have used each time I needed to talk with CS, but they make it hard to find. Some companies don’t list a phone number at all anywhere on their site, so thank you for posting this. Edited to add: apparently it doesn’t necessarily work for every company. I tried Silhouette America, and it gave me Bank of America. So I tried just Silhouette, and it gave me nothing. Next I typed in My Favorite Things, since I had looked for a phone number for them recently and just got the email suggestion, but no phone number anywhere on their site that I could see. Even for them, gethuman.com substituted some other business, too, one I’d never heard of before.

Try 614-596-2220. It's the customer service number on the SSS website.

Got my December kit today. Also received email from SSS today too, saying that I should receive the kit any day now.
I don't know if you still want to borrow the gnome die, Grammadee. Let me know and I will be happy to send it to you.
Still wary about buying stuff from though.

I never got my gnome set either. I have the shipping info and it supposedly made it to Toronto on December 9, but never made it here. I emailed SSS ten days ago and they did reply. They set me copies of the tracking info and said they hoped it arrived soon. I’m giving up hope. Either Canada Post lost it or someone stole it.

Maybe we can meet up when I get to Calgary next time, and I can cut some pp gnomes in prep for NEXT Christmas! Or maybe they will restock those little guys and I will be able to buy the set with an upcoming kit. justjac with my substituted kit, it seemed to stop tracking in Mississauga, and then one day suddenly it arrived, so maybe there is still hope...

I always have trouble with SSS orders - not lost but they take forever and can't be tracked once they leave the US. And SSS are not very helpful and just say to wait. I try and avoid ordering from them unless I can't get things anywhere else.

nicolejones911 on youtube complained about the same thing. I know she's not far behind on her videos, but it might be off a few days. She ordered some Christmas stuff around black friday (don't think it was anything FOR black friday, though) and she just got it at the start of the year. Seems to be there is something going on with Canadian orders...could they be shipping via some sort of smart post comparable method in order to decrease their shipping costs?

I'm really sorry to read this thread, glad you got your kit paperaddict! I've never had a problem with sss shipping (to ontario). It's been quick - made an order around Black Friday and had the items within 7 business days for creating Christmas cards. They do seem hit or miss given this plus other threads I've seen.

Anything I order from the US now takes forever. Canada Post never recovered from postal strike in 2018 Since then anything i order takes twice to three times as long. I used to be able to order from Simon and get it in 4 business days. Now I'm lucky if it is two weeks. Even scrapbook . Com no different.

I find that the supplies ordered from Utah--or the western states--arrive much faster in Alberta. They clear through the customs office in BC quickly and are at my post office a day or two later. Anything shipped from the Eastern states has to go through the Missisauga bottleneck, which seems to take forever.

I have mine shipped to "Your US Address" and pay the small amount to get my stuff. I live about 25km from the border so I try to order so that stuff comes in at the same(ish) time. Yes, I do declare everything at Border & have never had a problem.

I'm in Alberta, and am wary ordering from SSS. I'm always thinking, how bad do I need this product.
I've ordered dies from Ali Express and was horrified I bought a die set that was a direct rip off from Spellbinders. I didn't know this at the time but just found out a couple of days ago as I was looking through their website for another die set. I will not order from them again. But it's hard to know which ones are rip offs. How do you tell?

If companies want customers to be loyal and buy their designs, they need to have them in stock, offer them at a competitive price, and have what was ordered arrive. Otherwise people are going to find other means to get what they want.
Don't support companies that provide shitty service.

Yes, I can agree to not support companies that provide poor service. It is buyer be aware. Some of these companies are very small (don't know for sure about SSS). Maybe something happened to the production run? Perhaps they didn't want to over extend and didn't realize the demand would be high? There are all kinds of reasons these things happen.
BUT NOT RESPONDING TO MESSAGES IS UNACCEPTABLE. I do agree with that.
I am just advocating to purchase from NON counterfeit companies. Ali Express is well known for the business practice of copying designs. Is it really that important to HAVE that particular die or product to support a company that is deliberately stealing designs?
