Have a great time. I was reading about Tina Fey and Oprah being in Mpls. My mom was in the Oprah audience years ago and considered it to be one of the best experiences of her life.

Yes, definitely update! I heard about that on the radio and it sounded like it would be awesome. I think Tina Fey is hilarious in the new Allstate Insurance “mayhem” commercials she’s in. (You drive like an old lady. “You’re an old lady!”)

They showed a little snippet of this on the morning news, Oprah was just getting started with the show. She called some women to the stage- the news went to commercial before they got to the stage so I didn't see the women. Anyway, she called for "the women who got locked out of the hotel room and came here wrapped in comforters". I call fake on this. If they were locked out of their room, where did they get the comforters? Why didn't they go to the front desk to get let back into the room? I think they came wrapped in comforters to attract attention, and Oprah fell for it.

Love Oprah! Love listening to her, I find her voice soothing. Lol. Have fun. [br Oh no, they were locked out. Went for coffee in their pj and when they returned to their room the lock mechanisms were broken. They had to leave to get to show on time. Front desk gave them blankets. It was -3 this morning. It was all true. Show was great. Tina Fey, Julianne Hough and even Susie Orman spoke for a little bit. Tamara Nelson in audience as well as Oprah’s nieces and other “famous “ people.

I had quite a few acquaintances there and posted on fb. I'm so bummed I didn't know about it. Would've been so awesome to go with my sister and mother. What an experience!

I hope you enjoyed it. My sister-in-law and I are going to see her at the Barkley Center in Brooklyn in a couple of weeks. We were speculating who the guests might be before they announced them. My SIL said she was hoping it would be Michelle Obama. I told her that that was highly unlikely they would have someone that high profile. Well, it turns out that Michelle Obama is going to be the special guest. We are so excited.
Please come back and tell us all about it. Did Oprah come up in the audience? Were there selfie opportunities? What was the food like? I want all the details.

She did go out into the audience. To the rows that were close up. There were selfie opportunities but not with her. You could get them with signs that they had up. They give you a really nice/cute goodie bag with samples and a couple WW snacks in it. Our lunch was catered by Panera. You had your choice of turkey sandwich, greek veggie sandwich or a salad. All came with water and an apple and chips. I would definitely bring some snacks with you. You are seated the entire morning from about 9-11:30 or so. Then an hour break for lunch and then seated again. IT WAS SO WORTH THE COST! There is nothing not to enjoy. And to get to see and hear Obama, that is just a big ole WOW!

Oh, if they send you something about not bringing in a purse more than a certain size, THEY MEAN IT! Mine was a little bigger than what they said and I snuck it in under my coat.

Some of my co-workers went! I can't wait to hear what they have to say monday. Tina Fey and her went to the Mary Tyler Moore statue, and also walked the stone arch bridge with a group of women runners I believe it was. She definitely got out n the community, which was great!!
