Justin Amash
“He sells troops.
“We have a very good relationship with Saudi Arabia—I said, listen, you’re a very rich country. You want more troops? I’m going to send them to you, but you’ve got to pay us. They’re paying us. They’ve already deposited $1B in the bank.”
This is a quote from an interview trump gave to that Laura person on Fox News last night.
Why are we sending troops to Saudi Arabia apparently at their request? Specifically what US interests are at risk that requires sending additional troops to Saudi Arabia at their request?
The Saudi’s have always come off to me as group who pay others to do their dirty work. Is that what our military has become?

We had discussed this a while back asking if our troops were now going to be mercenaries for hire. This was when dt said he was going to charge Saudi Arabia for the troops he was sending. This was in anticipation to guard the oil fields after dt pulled the troops out of Syria (?)!

No. Our armed forces are to be deployed for reasons we determine are in our national security interests. Our troops aren’t mercenaries.

No, I’m not, and my next question is - deposited a billion dollars in which bank? Could it be Deutsche Bank. (not so likely, dt owes them millions, if not billions!)

I would sure love for one of our resident Trump supporters to give some reason(s) why this is okay. I won't hold my breath, though.

According to his faithful on Twitter, Clinton, W, and Obama all did it, they were just too stupid to get paid for it. JFC it's exhausting.

Speaking of Eric Prince: He told dt to assinnate Soleimani way back in 2015! (CNN)Erik Prince, the Blackwater-founder-turned-unofficial-2016-Trump-campaign-adviser, advocated to the campaign years ago for the killing of Iranian commander Qasem Soleimani, according to a recently disclosed memo that reveals some of the earliest thinking circulated within Donald Trump's team regarding his approach to Iran. Prince made the pitch in a memo emailed to Steve Bannon, then running the conservative website Breitbart, who forwarded the memo to then-campaign manager Corey Lewandowski. It's not clear whether the message reached Trump, but Prince's outreach on foreign policy later got him audiences with future national security adviser Michael Flynn and Donald Trump Jr. "[Qasem Soleimani] is the Heinrich Himmler of the Iranian State," Erik Prince wrote in the September 8, 2015 memo to the Trump campaign, pegging Soleimani as the "muscle" behind the country's supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. "That Soleimani and his ilk are not already DEAD is a national disgrace for America."** Another email obtained by CNN in the Mueller public records litigation shows Bannon passed Prince's memo along to Lewandowski that same day. Four days later, Bannon asked Lewandowski about setting up a phone call between Prince and then-candidate Trump, according to the emails Mueller collected. Prince also connected with Flynn, who became Trump's first national security adviser, the emails show. ** www.cnn.com/2020/01/11/politics/erik-prince-trump-campaign-qasem-soleimani/index.html

Yes, I think I posted it some where earlier. Had to do with building a Tower in ........... Ivanka was ALL hands on. Ivanka and Trump Organization linked to Suleimani’s front company: New Yorker writerPublished 6 days ago on January 5, 2020 By Sarah K. Burris ** New Yorker writer Adam Davidson tweeted Sunday that when Iran leaders set up front companies to try and acquire weapons of mass destruction that the Trump Organization met with one of those front groups.“One of Soleiman’s chief goals was to acquire WMD missile systems that could threaten Israel and US installations,” Davidson wrote on Twitter Sunday. “He assigned the job to his ally, Mohamed Bagher Ghalibaf. When sanctions began, the IRGC used front companies to handle WMD acquisition.” ** “Mammadov sent his son, Anar, to the U.S. in 2010 to develop business ties with U.S. companies,” Davidson tweeted. “He spent lavishly but got no takers. It was well-known that the Mammadovs laundered money for the IRGC and were wildly corrupt. Only one American business worked with them.”
It was President Donald Trump’s company.
“Ivanka worked extremely closely with the Mammadovs on their absurd tower,” Davidson explained. In 2015, the Trump Org acknowledged they knew the Mammadovs were likely laundering money for the IRGC. They kept working with them until after the 2016 election.” ** www.rawstory.com/2020/01/ivanka-and-trump-organization-linked-to-suleimanis-front-company-new-yorker-writer/?utm_source=&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=3383

What bank did money get deposited in? Do we have a United States bank? A government bank? If this is true, none of it is ok.

Trump being Trump you always have to dig deeper to find out what he's talking about.
It's called Host Nation Support or burden sharing.
The Pentagon spends an estimated $10 billion a year on overseas bases. More than 70% of the total is spent in Japan, Germany and South Korea, where most U.S. troops abroad are permanently stationed. In return, the Pentagon receives various forms of compensation from the host countries, from rent-free real estate where the bases are located to actual cash payments meant to offset U.S. costs. Hillary Clinton reached one of the least-noticed diplomatic agreements of her tenure as secretary of State — a deal obligating Japan to continue paying nearly $2 billion a year to help defray the cost of U.S. troops stationed on its territory. The money is used to build housing and training areas for U.S. forces, pay wages to thousands of Japanese workers on U.S bases and supply water and power.
So Trump telling Saudi Arabia they need to pay up isn't unusual and certainly isn't 'pimping' our military. As to the why question, to help deter Iranian aggression in the Middle East.

To expand a little on what is pissing me off about this childish brag by the idiot.
Anytime we deploy troops to a foreign country there is a high probability that we are putting those troops in harms way. Therefore a lot of thought should be given before we do.
After the attack on the Saudi’s oil field is when the first group of US troops were sent to SA. Why? Can’t the Saudi’s defend themselves? I mean we have been selling them billions of dollars of US military arms and training their military personnel for years. So why do they need our troops?
Now the idiot has heightened the tension in the Middle East and Iran & SA are not BFFs so SA are asking for more US troops to be sent. Just in case.
Then you have then idiot bragging about it and the most important thing to him is how much money he is getting for it and doesn’t acknowledge, in any, the potential danger he is putting our troops in. It’s clear he is more interested in the money than the potential harm to the members of our military. In other words are troops are expendable if we can get top dollar for their “use”.
Just like the lack of justification for killing that general and the other one in Yemen that they missed, we have no idea why more troops are supposedly going to SA or why they are really there in the first place. Meaning what real US interests are our troops in SA protecting?
We need to get out of the Middle East, not expand our presence there.

The decision to sent troops to SA was made back in October, has nothing to do with what recently took place.
What real US interests are our troops in Japan, Germany, S Korea and the other 150 countries we have a presence in protecting.

The decision to sent troops to SA was made back in October, has nothing to do with what recently took place. What real US interests are our troops in Japan, Germany, S Korea and the other 150 countries we have a presence in protecting. 1. The question is why were troops sent to SA in October and why is the idiot bragging about the money he gets for sending additional troops to SA. 2. When someone says “what about” they have no answer to the original question. Silly me, after 18 years in the Middle East I’m really getting tired of members of our military coming home missing limbs, or suffering from PTSD, or dead. So yes, I’m going to question every time troops are moved into the Middle East instead of out. By the way, NY Times is running an article that suggests the reason we have and are moving troops to SA is because the Saudi’s want the US to protect them from Iran as trump escalates tensions with Iran.
