PRINCIPAL’S SON SEXUALLY ASSAULTED A BOY
The prestigious swim team of Sharyland Pioneer High School was competing in a tournament organized by the Corpus Christi Independent School District last November.
18-year-old Trevor Heath, referred to as the “swimming phenom” by Cavazos Sports Institute, LLC, was part of the team.
Trevor, the son of the school’s Principal, James Heath, along with two other seniors in the swimming team, sexually assaulted a freshman.
According to a source, the boy reported the sexual assault to the coach and Corpus Christi Police Department was notified. Progress Times reported yesterday, January 16, that CCPD confirmed an investigator was assigned to the case.
Other members of the swimming team witnessed the sexual assault, but did not dare to intervene. The Principal and Superintendent, and other district officials were notified… but not the boy’s parents.
The freshman got over the initial shock of the ordeal, and opted to not talk about it… it’s unclear what his status in the team was when he returned to school.
Word of the sexual assault, which Sharyland ISD prefers to call hazing, spread throughout the school… and soon after, throughout the district.
Students began bullying him when they heard he had been sodomized with a shampoo bottle. During the Christmas break, the boy begged his parents to transfer him to another school… but he was too ashamed to tell them why.
School district officials prohibited students from talking about the sexual assault… apparently they were concerned for the boy’s privacy since he was a minor.🙄
The boys who witnessed the sexual assault received a few days of ISS. Sources have confirmed they claimed they were afraid they would be next if they tried to stop it.
Trevor and the other two rapists, who we still have not identified, were punished with a few days in the Alternative Education Program… one source said they got 3 days. A student speaking before the Sharyland ISD Board of Trustees on Wednesday also said 3 days… another source said 30.
One thing is clear… a senior who created a fake Twitter account to impersonate the school district as a joke, and literally tweeted jokes, got 60 day of AEP… which is a lot more than 30 and 3, but he is not the son of an influential district employee. According to another source, that prank also got him banned from attending the graduation, but we haven’t confirmed it yet.
Trevor and the other two seniors that sexually assaulted the freshman were not banned… they are allowed to walk.
As far as the school district officials were concerned, the problem was solved. The boy would be gone, and their swim stars would soon be back to represent the school.
A twisted sense of justice.
The boy could have achieved his wish of forgetting about it, and moving on… except, his most humiliating experience was recorded by one of the other teammates. Several sources have confirmed the video went viral briefly on Twitter until it was taken down… and that was his breaking point.
He still couldn’t muster the strength to tell his parents what had happened to him, but he confided in a close friend what he intended to do… he was going to kill himself.
The friend decided to tell his parents… that’s how they found out.
A reliable source confirmed that Trevor Heath admitted to district officials that something happened… but he “only fondled and grabbed” the 14-year-old’s genitals and buttocks while he was holding him down; he denied there was any penetration.
They accepted the seniors’ version of events, and determined they had been punished enough.
But, students that saw the video say that’s not the whole truth… they are calling it rape.
We don’t know if there are other victims, but this was clearly a sadistic act to humiliate him, not a regular initiation.
Sports are supposed to help students learn self-esteem and other important skills. Instead, the failure of coaches, teachers and school administrators to address these perverse traditions have resulted in many students dropping out or suffering other undue burdens to avoid interacting with their attackers.
Why should the victim be forced to switch schools while his attackers get to go back and laugh it off?
The first step towards changing things is showing other bullies that they will not get away with it. The 3 seniors must be expelled… and since Nueces County will have jurisdiction, there’s hope that they’ll be prosecuted.
And the officials that tried to cover it up should be removed.
We will continue investigating this case, and we’ll keep you posted on what we find.

from news stories:
I am so sad to read that young men think sexual assault is just funny --no matter if victim is male or female.
Hopefully one day this won't be an amusement to young men.
