Ha, that much money I would buy a sweet 500 acres up against blm land in Montana.

That's really not attractive from the outside but the space is good. Plus it's only one level so the renovation would be so extensive I'm not sure.

It is a very 60s house. Assuming the basic structure is sound I'd remodel because it will be cheaper than a tear down/rebuild. I would only tear down a house that is structurally unsound.

The outside is a bit unattractive but that doesn’t bother me. The kitchen and bathrooms need a remodel. The actual space seems nice.

I'd remodel the kitchen and bathrooms and paint/landscape the outside. The central fireplace is awesome and I love the big deck outside.

Needs a new kitchen, entry, wallpaper off, paint, probably bathrooms, carpet, and right now the exterior looks like an office, so that has to be redone. Maybe if they took $500k off the price....

I thought it was a bit pricey for what you get, and the reno on top of the price. The land can't be worth that much-it is less than an acre.

It’s dated inside and out but I wouldn’t call that a tear down. As someone who was recently forced into a near complete tear down situation with our lake place, I would absolutely not recommend doing that unless the structure had something really wrong with it. Paint, wallpaper, flooring and cabinetry can be updated or changed out and even walls can be moved if the interior layout needs some adjusting. Rebuilding from the ground up is crazy expensive.

I don't think it is that bad. Part of why it is so expensive is it is in a Cherry Creek neighborhood/schools. I would remodel as I could afford to since it looks livable.

I think if you poured money into it you could make it a fabulous mid century modern

Remodel. It’s just cosmetic updates. I’m not a fan of tearing down perfectly good homes because They’re “dated”. It’s pricey, but the location is driving that.

I like it because I like mid-century modern and it has that in spades. New kitchen and bathrooms and it would be a beautiful and unique home. All that said, I'd expect them to take that price down a good bit to compensate for the re model.

I love me a mid century house, and wouldn't actually change much. Paint on the outside, new cabinet doors and appliances in the kitchen, update bathrooms, but probably not a gut remodel. I wish we could see the yard in other seasons, because it might not need that much work.
And while I get location location location, I think the house is priced a bit high.

For that price and a generally open floor plan, I would remodel. Paint the outside brick, tear down the wall near the kitchen table and rehab the entire kitchen. I would also rehab each bathroom and modernize. I think I'd also look at making the ceiling height consistent across every room. It looks a little funky in some places. That has to be cheaper than rebuilding entirely.

I freaking LOVE that central fireplace. Not a tear down at all in my book - this house has great bones!

I'm another midcentury modern fan and see good bones here. I would remodel, including vaulted ceilings and adding central heating.
