All the hot ones are the best ones The late spring ones are still good because it is about to get hot The fall ones are sad because it is stopping being hot All the cold ones are my least favorite ones My priorities are clear I suppose. literally my exact thoughts lol. June July August May September (usually warmer than April here) April October March (you think it's about to get warm and then bam, 2 feet of snow) November February January December (hate this month for other reasons)

June July August May April September March Feb Jan Oct Dec Nov
I love the summer! The heat, long days, shorts, flip flops, I just love it! So summer is my favorite, then spring. Although in Pittsburgh we usually don't get much of a spring, just an extended winter, so a lot of cool days. Spring is my next favorite, followed by winter (because it's close to spring). Fall is my least favorite because I can't stand it getting dark early, and cooler and it means long wait to spring summer.

June (summer) July (summer) August (summer) September (Indian summer) May (almost summer) October (possible Indian summer) April (teasing summer) November (random warm days) March (windy, but not usually cold) December (weird random warm days) February (weird random warm days) January (it was almost 60 degrees TODAY in South Carolina) I'm a summer girl. I rank based solely on sun and warmth. Yes! Me too!

November April(I do like the first few days of spring before the heat and humidity kick in) January December October February March May September June July August
I hate the heat and humidity. I live in GA so we don't have extreme winter weather. I"m just thankful for some days in the 50s or below and it's not raining.

Being in the southern hemisphere, my seasons are opposite to most of you. Spongemom Scrappants I love your choices - that's pretty much the same for me. Summer, summer, summer, Indian summer, almost summer..... 1. January - hot summer, daylight savings, school holidays, quiet at work, days off, beach. 2. February - still hot summer, ditto all the above except school holidays are over. 3. December - first month of summer, Christmas. 4. March - first month of autumn but still quite hot. 5. April - middle of autumn, can still get come nice beach weather. Easter and Anzac Day public holidays, plus I take a week off work for school holidays. 6. November - last month of spring, starting to warm up, can get some beach days. 7. September - start of spring, football finals, my and DS's birthdays, week off work for school holidays. 8. October - starting to warm up, daylight savings starts. 9. May - not too cold yet. 10. August - last month of winter, I can SEE THE LIGHT! 11. June - Pffft winter. Thank goodness for football. 12. July - as above. Take another week off work to make myself feel better. My husband's co-worker from NZ is visiting us in the US. I feel bad for him to have to leave summer to come to winter! My husband likes to go to NZ in Feb. and call and tease me about how warm it is there.

May - birthday month/spring finally here/rain - flowers just start blooming but not much Oct - cooler weather/fall leaves Nov - still nice outside, not usually freezing yet April - warming up but still could have snow June - not hot hot, flowers are now really coming in July - getting hot, summer, sometimes vacation Dec - not terrible cold, could snow Aug - too hot, ready for fall Jan - cold, snowy, holidays are over for the most part Sept - hot, ready for cooler weather that just won't come Feb - cold, snow March - nice spring days fooling us and then turn really cold, most snowiest month.. I hate March.

1. October 2. May 3. December 4. April 5. September 6. January 7. November 8. September 9. July 10. August 11. February 12. March This is hard for me because I really like most of the months. Even August and February which are close to the bottom because I had to put them somewhere - I could just as easily have swapped them for 4 or 5. But March? No. It's not winter, it's not spring. It's wet, cold, muddy and brown. And not the January/February bright brown of nature taking a rest and pausing but the dirty, used up brown of road salt & ash and muck hidden under the melting old snow. Ours are close but you have no June.. LOL... Two Septembers..

The only month I truly dislike is January, it's so cold, wet and dark.
I can find something good in all the others.

I noticed yesterday at 6:15 it was still daylight. It's the little things. And I find as I get older, the weather really affects my mood.

1. July (not rainy) 2.August (not rainy) 3.June (not raining much on good years) 4.September (not raining yet) 5.May (sometimes not raining) 6.October (some sunny days) 7.April (the sun is coming soon) 8. March (signs of the sun sometimes) 9. November (not molding from lack of sun yet) 10. December (Christmas) 11. February (it's not January) 12. January
I live in Washington and love that yellow ball in the sky we don't see 9 months of the year... This has been the rainiest January in 4 years or something (it's rained 28/29 days so far). I'm over it!

I love them all. Except maybe March, when I’m ready for it to be spring, but I still have two feet of snow. Yeah, March can eat a bag of dicks. I love every season, but sometimes winter sticks around longer than it should. Yes to all of this. I was just thinking one morning as I was freezing my butt off outside waiting for the dog to pick her spot that spring can’t come soon enough. We’ve lived in this house for almost eight years and our neighborhood/area has a community egg hunt for the little kids at Easter in a neighborhood park. I can’t tell you how many of those years my kid has hunted for eggs in the freaking snow. March definitely blows. My favorite now is probably June because it’s finally starting to get warm enough to be comfortable being outside and it’s not as likely to be rainy, but there aren’t a crapton of bugs yet.

October - weather is finally cooler, it's my birthday month, and it also kicks off the holidays December - the week of Christmas and New years I get 4 paid days off. It's also when I see all my sisters and nieces and nephew, and sometimes my daughter comes home. November - Thanksgiving and over eating, and I get three paid days off. February - short month with nice weather March - flowers starting to bloom, daylight savings ends, and weather is still cool January - cool weather, hiking at the coast, and snowshoeing in the mountains April - weather still cool, but somedays are warm May - days are warmer but nights are still cool September - nights are cool, but day time is still too hot June - still has potential for nice days, but it's mostly too hot August - too hot kill me now July - did I die and wake up in hell

Me, three! I'll take heat and humidity any day over cold and WIND! Ugh- I cannot stand cold, dark, windy days. I noticed yesterday at 6:15 it was still daylight. It's the little things. And I find as I get older, the weather really affects my mood. Yay! The thing I dislike the most about the fall is it getting dark earlier. Even though I dislike the cold winter months, I do like that it's staying lighter longer. I love that it's still light out at 5:30 and getting better. I am so productive in the summer when it's light out until 9! I can go on a cleaning spree at 8:00pm! In the fall when it's dark at 5, I just sit on the sofa! But I guess the people that like fall feel the opposite, and get more done in the fall than in the summer.

I remember once when the Steelers were playing the Seahawks and in the paper, they were comparing how similar the gloomy days are in the two cities. And when Steelers played Broncos, we were so jealous at their sunny days!

Fun thread!
1. September - humidity finally gone, leaves changing, fall arrives. 2. October - Fall! 3. November - Still fall and not hot. 4. April - Sunshine usually returns, smells so good outside. 5. December - Christmas and usually the first snow 6. May - Not ranked higher because there are 18 family and friend birthdays that month. And dance recitals. May is exhausting. But lilacs. 7. June - Usually not too humid and hot, though that is changing. 8. March - only redeeming features are my daughter's birthday and St. Patty's day. 9. February - Short and sweet 10. January - Lasts FOREEEVVVVVERRRR 11. August - hot, hot, hot. 12. July - humidity in the Midwest is horrid. 2 summer's ago it was 105 in the SHADE at our lake cabin. Disgusting.

This. I’m north of Pittsburgh and I don’t like being cold. I will say that since I have retired and don’t have to go out as much, I don’t mind Winter as much as I used to. One thing I can say for sure, the older I get the faster time flies. I try to be thankful for each day no matter what the weather brings.

This is how I see it in the PNW. July, Hooray.. true summer at last! The days are warm, flowers are blooming, my garden is thriving, and the skies couldn't get any bluer. August, Sometimes hot and dry, sometimes warm with thunderstorms, always a surprise. June, Typically rainy when school lets out but its a warm rain and local strawberries are in the market. Sept. Usually nice but cooling toward the end of the month. Fall is coming. May Planting time.. let's go spend money and time at the nursery. Fun! April Flowering trees are blooming and the weather is changeable. A beautiful time. Oct. The month of change, leaves are changing color and falling. A cool finish to the month. Nov. Wet and gray, a good month to be indoors and celebrate Thanksgiving. Dec. Like Nov. but possibly colder. Christmas decorating and lights help ease the gray. Feb. At least it's short! Jan. Sometimes mild, sometimes bitter but the daylight hours are getting longer. and awful March... the month when you're so sick and tired of gray cold rain and you're dying for spring but it just drags on being miserable.

Exactly. I hate March because you think it should start warming up, but it never does. To make it even worse, there is all that mother flipping snow that comes with it.
1. June 2. May 3. July 4. April 5. August 6. September 7. October 8. February (it's a short month and my birthday is in the middle of it so it always seems to fly by) 9. November 10. January 11. December (too stressful) 12. March
I have one kid with a March birthday and the other with a December. Sshhh. Don't tell them I hate their month.

I live in the PNW, and the weather is always my deciding factor. Those short, grey, rainy winter months do me in. I’m curious how the months line up for others in this area. ETA: just read others’ posts from the PNW, we’re mostly similar 1. April - all the spring flowering plants are in bloom and it gives me hope after getting thought the previous 6 months! 2. June - while often cool and rainy, the days are long, and again, it’s a great month for plants and flowers. 3. July - long days, warm weather. 4. August - long days, warm weather. 5. October - it can be pretty, and not as parched as September. 6. May - another hopeful month 7. March - really nothing to get excited about one way or another. 8. September - usually feeling dried out around here. No kids around so nothing in particular to get excited about. 9. December - other than the holidays and get-together it has no redeeming qualities. 10. November - ugh, the excitement about upcoming holidays is the only thing it has going for it. 11. February - although there can be peeks at spring, it’s still usually pretty dismal. 12. January - need I say more? According to the news it’s rained (or snowed) every day but 3 this month, with plenty of rain anticipated these final few days.

Although I can't wait for summer, I don't want time to fly by as I still have a 16 yr. old at home and she is a junior. So I try to be happy with what I have and tolerate the fall! My 2 youngest daughters are on their high school and university dance teams, so football keeps us so busy in the fall, and makes it much more enjoyable! And we love Halloween! You are right that time does go by much faster the older my kids get!
