Pretty sure dd has a gluten intolerance. This girl loves the smell of bread! Eats bagels daily, sometimes multiple times a day.
So I need to research some good alternatives for her....and what research doesn't start with the peas? What are the best tasting breads, bagels, pastas, etc.

We like all of the LiveGF stuff at Aldi(DD especially likes the GF frozen chicken nuggets) except the tortillas!! Bleck!! Mission makes a GF tortilla that is VERY good though. I like the Walmart brand Pastas, the cook up better than the Aldi ones. ALL of the Schar brand breads, bagels, cookies, etc have been good to us. "Enjoy Life" sweets are all pretty good.
DD has Celiac so we've tried out a lot of stuff in the last 4-5 months!! LOL

I just finished a Trader Joe's gf bagel - it does the trick (I'm a bagel-aholic.) I'm not sure where you live, but there's an amazing gf bakery restaurant in NYC and I defy anyone to taste the difference between their gf bagels and real ones. They are amazing. It's called Modern Bread and Bagel. TJ's has lots of gf items. I love their cauliflower gnocchi and their kale gnocchi in particular.

Siete makes good grain-free tortillas (and other products).
Also, traditional corn tortillas are generally gluten-free (check labels).

Bob's Red Mill makes all kind of GF products. They aren't prepared goods, but flours, mixes, etc (check your baking section) but there are a lot of options.

Check out canyon bakehouse bread! We didn’t care for Schar, but love canyon bakehouse.

Glutino makes a good GF English muffin. They also make a bagel, but I haven't tried it. You'll find them in the freezer section of the gluten free department. Another bread option that is tasty are Brazi Bites. Our favorite is the Cheddar & Parmesan flavor. Costco sells them. If you are up to making your own bread, check out the King Arthur mixes. For pasta, we like Jovial products, which is made from Einkorn flour. (Note: DD is gluten intolerant, NOT celiac. She is able to eat this, as are other gluten intolerant people we know. As always, you should do your own research before buying.)

The "Enjoy Life" sugar cookies are THE BOMB!
I like Canyon Bakery breads. Most of the pasta is good freshly prepared; none of it is particularly enjoyable re-heated, IMO.
King Arthur's "Measure for Measure" GF flour makes baking easy. Cakes and cookies; GF bread is problematic, but read the King Arthur blog for hints on baking. You need a narrow, steeper pan to provide support for proper rise.

We like King Arthur Flour GF pancake mix - they're actually better than regular mixes and Siete tortillas - they're in the frozen section.

I like the Barillo (sp?)pasta. Whole Foods has pasta products in their refrigerated section.
