Hello, Peas! I've been working on decorations for my grandson's first birthday party this weekend. Using my Silhouette for a over an hour with no problems. Then it lost it's everliving mind! I was trying to cut a design I had pieced together, along with some tiny banners. I have a picture of what was sent to cut, and what actually happened. I ruined 3 pieces of paper, trying to re-cut and check my settings, guides, everything. And this happened 3 times in a row before I called it quits. Aaaand looking at THIS page, I have no idea how to attach the photos! 😖 I'm going to post this msg and hope I can figure out how to edit to add photos.

Did you shut everything down and restart? Sometimes I have to do that.
Do you have access to the 2peasrefugees gallery on flicker? Or use tapatalk?

But I agree with shutting everything down. The program and the computer and the Silhouette. Sometimes the memory caches fill up and, like you said, the Silhouette loses it’s mind!

I can do many things but add a photo isn't one of them🙄
I forgot to mention that I did turn it off and back on, and l will try to explain what is happening. The paper looks like the silhouette was bumped during cutting...the files are cutting way off from where they are on my computer screen, it's overlapped and skipped and some lines aren't cut at all.

Is the machine set to load paper and not load Media? That will throw off where the machine makes the cuts on the paper. I would also check that all the lines in your design are set to cut, that the roller bar is clicked into place and that there's no dust in the blade housing.
Good luck!!

Did you try cutting something else? Is it happening with everything or just this one file?

Even beyond turning the machine off and back on...actually unplug everything including unplugging from the wall.
Good luck!

I have also had this happen, and I think it was just the particular file. I also had one that cut fine, and then would cut a line right through the middle of the design. Keep us posted as to whether you can get it to work.

In most cases, shutting everything down (both Silhouette and computer) helps, but it also helps to leave it off for a bit before turning the computer and cutter back on.
Once I had a file that just cut wonky no matter what. Everything else cut fine.
One other option is that for some reason, your Silhouette needs to be recalibrated. Check for a tutorial on YouTube.

It's probably too late given that your title says Urgent but sometimes it seems that my Silhouette gets "tired." I can be cutting some stuff just fine and then bam! It needs a break. Like someone said upthread, I need to shut everything down. I save everything and then completely close out of the program and unplug everything. Sometimes I wait about 15 minutes, or an hour, and sometimes I try again the next day depending on how frustrated I am. I'm sorry this happened while you were working on a project. It is incredibly frustrating when this happens!

Obviously I am late to the party, it I have had issues like this when I was cutting via Bluetooth. I alway s use the cord. Also as others have said sometimes you need to turn off, unplug, and let it sit for a bit.
