We bought tickets to see Wicked in Baltimore before Coronavirus was even heard of. I’m glad the show is before the virus is widespread in the metro DC area. I’ve wanted to see Wicked for 15 years now. This is my birthday present (Ides of March) this year. 😀

How fun! Let us know what you think.
We finally saw it for the first time last year and fell in love. Yesterday we found out it will be in Houston in 2021 and we already know we will find a way to be there!

I love that show!
Funny story about how some adults treat kids. I took my oldest to see it when she was five or six on a trip to NYC. It came here on a tour a year or two later. We were sitting there waiting for the show to start, and a couple in front of us turned around to concern-troll about taking a small kid. “It’s going to be scary, you probably shouldn’t have a small child here.” She looked them dead in the eye and said, “I saw it on Broadway, and there are a few parts that are a little scary, like the part with the teacher in the cage, but I like it.” They then got *really* angry and said, “you really shouldn’t let your kid spoil the show for us.”
Eye roll.
Anyhow, I hope you have a great time. I am sure you will make it through the (hushed voice) *scary parts.*

It’s coming to Richmond again. It’ll be my fifth time seeing it. Not my favorite but ranks up there.
But man, that theater looks so empty! Is that the Kennedy Center?

Happy Birthday! I bawl like a baby every time during Defying Gravity. I have my sister on CD singing it and we played it at her memorial service. She thought it would be awesome to perform at her own service.

Anyhow, I hope you have a great time. I am sure you will make it through the (hushed voice) *scary parts.* Wonderful story! I love that you took your children to the theater when they were young. My mom always took us when we were kids and I developed a lifelong love for the theater. It’s coming to Richmond again. It’ll be my fifth time seeing it. Not my favorite but ranks up there. But man, that theater looks so empty! Is that the Kennedy Center? We saw it at the Hippodrome in Baltimore. We had seats that were the 4th row of the balcony and the depth of the overhang makes it so you don’t see any seats on the first level- just the stage. By the time the show started all the seats were full. This is the same touring group that is coming to Richmond - you will enjoy it. I also really loved the stage sets. We are going to see Jesus Christ Superstar next month at the Kennedy Center. Thank you everyone for the early birthday wishes! We loved the show. I took ds1 - we had dinner in the cafe attached to the theater before the show and so it was quite a nice evening. I’m so glad that I finally got to see it - it was all that I hoped it would be.
