So what did you think?
We saw it on the West End, so I'm not sure if it's different from the Broadway or touring productions. But I thought it was really, really great. I didn't care for the book, but loved the musical.

I didn't care for the book, but loved the musical. As I said near the bottom of page 1, we loved it! The stage sets were also amazing - very steampunk. The music was great, the theater was nice, and I really enjoyed both the storyline and the music. I got teary during Defying Gravity - it was very powerful. I read the book when they first came out - so 25 years ago - and actually enjoyed it (I also like confessions of an evil stepsister). I just downloaded it for kindle and started reading it again last night.

I'm so glad you enjoyed it for your birthday. I saw it for the first time last year on Broadway, and sobbed. So well done.
