I absolutely love the Salinas, and they stay on great (much better than Arizona for me)! I have had both BirkoFlor and not, they both are great!

As a half German girl I've been wearing Birkenstocks so long I can't even remember my first pair or how long I've worn them. I do remember when I first began wearing them years ago they were very much uncool. But I love them and how my feet feel in them and I've never been one to follow trends. I have at least 8 pairs of them but most are very much worn out. I currently have 2 pairs that are fairly new that I bought on a trip to Germany about 3 years ago-and by the way they were so much less expensive there. If you ever get there and you like Birkenstocks buy them when you are there. I went in May and started my trip in early May when Poland had an unusual cold period and it got down to 39 degrees F. When I got to Germany at the end of my trip in later May it got up to over 80 degrees F and I hadn't packed anything but my Dansko clogs and a pair of hiking boots. So out of curiosity and overheating I checked out how much Birkenstocks cost and was shocked at the price-about half of what we Americans pay here. I got a pair of Arizona's in wide (my feet were swollen from so much walking) to wear immediately and a pair of Florida (the three strap version I much prefer) in my normal width to take home and wear there.
By the way, if you look at Zappos.com you can see all of the different styles and they do offer a narrow width for the Pea that mentioned that. I never tried out the styles with the strap between the toe because I can't wear any sandal like that. My toes are very short and I hate that feeling of something between my toes. I can't even wear flip flops. I don't think any of the styles I've worn in the past including Granada have felt like they are slipping off because they are a slide in style. With Zappos you can wear them around the house and if you don't like how they feel you can return them-I think this is their policy but you might want to double check. Oh, and the one's I bought in Germany had a new bottom called a soft footbed and wow-what a difference over the old footbed style. It's a very nice improvement.
