I've never been a puzzle person, but about a year ago, I started trying to work the NYT crossword everyday. At first, I couldn't even get through the Monday crossword without turning on auto check. This morning, I it through Wednesday's (yesterday's) crossword puzzle w/out turning on auto check.

I admit I googled a few answers. However, I've decided that's not really cheating if I only google a few clues and the clue is obscure enough that I have to think through the google search that will result in me coming up w/ the right answer. I don't allow myself to google something obvious like "what is the second most populous city in the State of Washington?" Believe it or not, these rules make sense to me!

So do you like to work crosswords?

I do the NYT puzzle on line every once in a while. It's fun!

I like the NYT crossword but haven't done any in quite a while. I remember being very excited the first time I was able to finish a Thursday, lol.

I agree with you about googling where necessary, I figure if I can learn a new fact, and hopefully retain it, then that's good for my brain too, right??
