Weird. Dalton Ross's recap also mentioned them replacing the rice after the flood took it away. I have that season on VHS but I don't think our VHS player works anymore...

You know, I thought it was the flood at first too. But then I remembered Tina saving that can of rice and it wasn't making sense. So, I just double-checked it (only because I love Survivor trivia). Probst brought them more rice because there were deep concerns about their energy level and health. It happened right before the riverbed flooded so it was a brand new can of rice Tina rescued. According to the site I was looking at, the rains caused the river to muddy which made them lose their hooks and not catch fish. As a result they dipped more into the rice and depleted it. I think I've watched that season three times. If you have Amazon prime, many of the Survivor seasons are free. Of course, most people are weird like me and rewatch seasons.

Just got around to watching last night's episode...well, I now officially dispise Missy. I find over and over that there is a reason someone has been divorced three times...what a nasty old bag. Can't imagine ever having to work around her. Jon and girlfriend were real dumb to have sided with her and Baylor...like mother, like daughter.

Forgot about that. Well, if that's the case here, then I amend my former statement, lol. They still should have rationed better, but I'm a little less hocked off by them getting more.

I have totally forgotten that Jeff gave them more rice. I do remember Tina crossing the river to rescue it after it washed away (I remember the cameras that were back at camp while the survivors were away at a challenge -- who knew they left cameras there, lol -- showed the water coming up on the camp and washing stuff away) but I have completely forgotten the replacement. I'll need to rewatch that season. Which I happen to have on dvd. And yes, I rewatch seasons multiple times.

(...) I make it sound so easy, don't I? All of this being thought while I watch on my comfy couch, under a blanket with a bowl of popcorn, lol. There was a Survivor casting call in the town I was visiting last weekend. My first thought was, "Survivor is my favorite show - I should check this out!" My second thought was, "Um...no." One of my favorite shows to but like you um NO! I would never want to be on the show! I would not do well with no food and freezing like they always seem to do lol.

Thanks for letting us know about Survivor past seasons being on Amazon Prime Jackie. I've watched every season of Survivor, every single episode since the beginning of the show-but I've never gone back yet to re watch seasons. Now that it's available, and basically free I'll be doing that. Yes, I'm a Survivor junkie too!
I did read somewhere yesterday (and I'm sorry I can't remember where-I'm barely sleeping these days as I have my 16 year old Siamese cat who insists on sleeping with me as soon as the weather got cold and he's waking me up every 30 minutes with his shifting around at night in the bed, but I don't have the heart to throw him out-ugh, what we do for our fur babies!) that there are 3 members left on the team that wasted their rice and will have to suffer the consequences but along with them are the other members of the team who were on the opposite team who rationed their rice and had nothing to do with it. Meanwhile you have 4 members of the wasting rice team over at the next camp who don't have to give up anything or suffer any consequences for their actions but are just sitting pretty. Doesn't seem fair (at all, but then Survivor and Life never is).
I also cannot stand Missy at all, and can't wait to see her voted off. That "Mama Bear" attitude was so stupid and ridiculous. Way to put a target on your own back and your daughter's (did you even watch one episode of Survivor before getting there?) and yet it didn't! Neither she nor Baylor got voted out when it should have been one of them! Double Ugh! What's a Survivor junkie to do but wring her hands and shout at the TV, "you idiots, where are your brains?" Why, oh why target Kelley? Didn't make any sense to me at all. If J and J had made an alliance with Kelley and Dale they would have had a strong four alliance and could have voted everyone else off of the tribe, plus they could have continued winning challenges since Kelley was a strong athletic competitor. Baylor or Missy aren't and don't have as much to offer in competitions as Kelley did athletically in my opinion. Sure Baylor is young, but Kelley was stronger and in better shape. Speaking of which, if you are going to vote off one of them why not Dale? Logic went out of the window on that vote completely.
