Hey everyone! Just a fun poll ... say you are quarantined for two weeks and have to pass the time somehow ... what would you probably spend a lot of time doing? I would like to say that I would clean but I wouldn't ... at all If a man was quarantined with me I would choose the sex option but if I was alone surfing the Refugees is probably more realistic What about you? ETA: Other is now Crafting!!!!!

My hobbies, exercising, board games with dh, and general mucking about house - not really cleaning per se as I'll leave that so that dh has something to do.

I would go in my happy scrappy room and scrap to my heart's content, while watching Netflix. My husband would only want the sex.

Cleaning the house for sure. Tackling all those tasks we never have time for. DH would be stuck at home so we would have no excuses.
A lot of movies and cooking too.

We need a crafting option, surely? I'd be doing a little cleaning and clearing out, but I would be crafting, no question. Having said that, I'd probably be working because apparently it is possible to do my work from home. I did not know that before.

Did you see Rita Wilson started a Spotify playlist called QUARANTUNES. Here is the link to it. Lots of good songs.

Utah just announced no school for two weeks. I will be crying in the fetal position. Yes, I'm one of those moms! Ugh! My son has been so damn hyper lately. A toddler in an 11 year old's body.
ETA: Ideally if it was just me, I'd have no issues keeping myself happy!

I have been in bed the last three weeks with illnesses, so I have mostly been sleeping, watching The British Baking Show and doing needlework when my head was not hurting too much. Hopefully, I will be feeling much better with my teens off the next three weeks. If I am, then my daughter (HS Freshman who is planning on owning a bakery someday) and I will be doing some baking so she can learn some techniques, and hopefully some scrapbooking/cardmaking. My DH is a Pastor so we will be doing a lot of care of our congregation and make sure everyone is safe and has what they need. Honestly, I adore my teens...they are pretty easy...so I am looking forward to an extended time at home.

Currently it’s a combo. Time spent here, face book groups, and watching the news.
I’m hoping to get some crafting and reading done but not today I’m mentally wiped out. Finally got word that school is cancelled next week then 2 weeks for spring break at least. Kids will get assignments online next week.
This has just exploded so much in the last 24 hours. So much more than I thought it would. Glad they are trying to slow it down but everything seems to have changed so fast.

Books and crafts with some internet time & Netflix thrown in.
I'd convince myself that I'd do a declutter "tomorrow" but if it was only 2 weeks I doubt I'd be bored enough to tackle it within that short timeframe. I'd probably learn to cook some new things too with just the supplies I have on hand.

I was talking to my nephew just a couple of days ago about just this. As I said to him, between all the books I have waiting to be read, netflix, and my knitting and scrapbooking supplies, I'll have more than enough to keep me occupied. I might even get to the long awaited clean-up of my craft area. DH will probably work from home - his office was shut down 2 days ago - which hopefully won't have too much impact on what I do. Video conferences might by tricky in our small apartment.

Today was day 3 for me. So far, I’ve napped, watched Lawn Fawn videos on making a reveal wheel card, started a card, cut out pieces for a quilt, read a lot, and binged a season The Great British Bake Off. Oh, and packed up Easter boxes of Belgian chocolates for the kids and family in the States and made a batch of biscuits for Emma.
DH is home tomorrow as of now, so we will probably take Emma for a walk and do some heavy vacuuming. She is blowing her winter coat and I need the furniture moved. Exciting stuff, I tell you.

They are doing what is called a soft closure as of now. If kids need breakfast or have nowhere to go, the school will be open for them. I can't willingly send my son when I am a SAHM. His poor teacher and aides. Who knows how they will be scheduled?

I'd like to knit, read, watch TV (which I never do), and clean a little.
Instead, we're doing E-Learning because the school where I work is closed. I'm a related service provider. Started last night on a plan for providing activities to students consistent with IEP goals on the days I actually see them.
Found out today that they expect us to do teletherapy. So that means there are some days I am supposed to be on a screen with students for 8.5 hours per day. 30 minutes per kid, 17 kids per day. That's not counting the planning it takes to do that. To say I'm furious is understating it. Our classroom teachers and learning disability specialists don't have to do that. They'll be doing some eLearning but will have time for planning, as well as their own families and themselves, too during this crisis.

I work from home, so I'd work as normal and in the evenings would take care of household chores, read, play games, go for walks, etc. I'd have to figure out some kind of vigorous workout I could do at home, or I'd go nuts.

I'll be dealing with my DH home from work and driving me crazy. He has that restless spirit and moves about the house and in and out doing things but not focusing on any one thing. Having him home for days at a time really makes my blood pressure rise as I like it quiet and calm. Thankfully, kids are all grown up so I don't have kids at home to worry about. I feel for all the moms and families that this will effect with having kids at home and maybe needing child care but can't find any. This is truly an unprecedented situation.

LOL about the sex one, I was just saying to DH last night, “I wonder how big of a baby boom there is going to be in another 9-12 months as a result of all this quarantining?” He laughed, but I was being serious!

I have a BIG binge watch list. I have a beautiful adult coloring book a friend brought back from Belgium to work on. The kids will be home so I imagine Dd will want to play lots of Barbies. Plus my big kid..DH..will want sex for sure! He always seems to want a quickie when the kids are awake. He will say they are busy on their tablets, they won’t notice. Freak!
Lots of naps....if I don’t get bothered too much.

One of my jobs is work from home, so I would hope to put in extra time on that one to make up for no income from the other one. Hopefully the people who need to be in the offices would be able to keep working to provide the work to the at home people. Other than that, try to keep DH entertained. He will get bored faster than me. As of now, he is done going out, except for a walk around town (very small town, rural area. Easy to walk without human contact). My out of the house job is still requiring us to go out, so I will be going out, but DH is over 60 and has health problems, so he will be isolating as much as possible. We went out today, one last trip to get the taxes done and get some cat supplies at Target. While we were out we heard a rumor that there was a case in our county. Got home and learned that it was true.

We are big gamers and have made it a goal to learn to play all the games in our collection we haven’t played yet. Today we learned Photosynthesis.
My kids had their last piano lesson today. Their piano teacher and drums teacher are going to video lessons after today. Their art school is cancelled for the rest of the month.
I made it to the library just before they closed and checked out a ton for both them and me. Currently have the books quarantined in my car and researching how long corona can live on them. I’m glad I made that a priority though as they closed until at least April 3 shortly after I left and I can’t imagine going that long without new books, although I realize that’s a small thing now.
The kids got out a ton of LEGO in the playroom and set out to replicate a project they saw in a museum. That should take them a week.

I've had a really, really shitty month with 3 funerals amd the flu so far so I'm kind of self soothing and quarantining.
I've cleaned out closets and have my eye on the garage. It's got all the crap we weren't sure anout needing when we moved. The plan was to her rid of anything that wasn't used In october but im moving the date up.

Well if I don't have a stuffy head and feel weird (like today) I will be spending the next 6 weeks stuck at home with four kids (and possibly DH they haven't closed his work... yet): walking on my treadmill working on my yard/garden (when it's not cold enough to snow like today) reading scrapping knitting and making the kids do all the chores I don't want to do to earn TV time By the end of this flatten the curve thing my house should be spotless...
