What do you like about your space? What do you dislike? What works for you and what doesn’t work in your space? If you could change something in your space what would it be?
My answers I like that I have my own room and I can leave things out. Currently, I dislike that everyone keeps hunting me down while I’m in my craft room. Lol!
My setup works well for the most part. I always seem to run out of desk space while I’m scrapping and I end up throwing things in the floor next to my desk. I shifted some things around the other day so I can leave my trimmer on my desk and so far it’s working.
i would love to have more desk space. I think I would like an L-shaped desk configuration, but it would require changing a lot of things in the room. I'm not sure I want it that badly.

I like that I finally have all my stuff in one space, except for work space. I have to do it at the kitchen table. It is a short distance from one room to another.
What works; Iris cases with the bigger themes, paper holders sorted by theme, flat embellishments in binders, manual dies, and machines stored in one cabinet, and generic embellishments sorted by color in CD crates.
What doesn't work? I need to get rid of a lot of cards I've made. They are really old, not great, and I rarely make them. Also pre-made embellishments. I don't have many, but they never work out for my pages.

My space is compact and I can reach everything easily while I'm working. I've overbought recently and my paper/cardstock storage is bulging at the seams but hopefully I can scrap my way out of that problem I do need to sort my stamps and figure out where to store my new mixed media supplies - they don't need to be close at hand because I suspect I'll use them mainly for challenges. I have mixed feelings about being in an open space (I have a section of the open-plan family room) - it's nice to be in the middle of everything but it might be nice to shut the door occasionally

My space is awkward. It's the dining room, but "room" is being generous. It's about 10x10 ft and at the very center of the house (we have no hallways- everything just opens onto everything else in a big circle). One wall is the door to the kitchen, one is the door to the hubby's work at home office and bathroom, one "wall" is just a giant opening to the living room, and the 4th wall is windows that go down to 2ft off the floor. So my surfaces to craft and run my business are a folding table against the windows, a circular dining table in the middle of the room right behind me at the folding table, and a sideboard. Wherever I stand there's not much room for hubby to walk behind me. We both work from home.
SO what's working? - he built me shelves that hold up the dining table and they hold all my inventory and my ScanNCut and a few other things. We don't dine at the table so I can leave my piles there. - I love the light from the windows even though I wish they didn't go all the way down behind my table - a usable windowsill would be nice. - since I took the 4th shelf out of my cart it works really well to hold 80% of my supplies. - the laptop on the sideboard works much better as an office than I would've expected. There's space for my files and I can put cards I've just finished on display and I keep my shipping supplies in the cupboard. Could be better, could be worse.
What's not? - I like standing but sometimes I need to sit, like when I'm coloring. Might need to find a stool. - it's not much space. I have to be vigilant about decluttering and tidying. - the folding table mostly sucks and is ugly. It was free though. - I can't listen to anything loud without using headphones. If hubby is on a call I can hear every word - he's loud - I'm always walking through my workspace, which gives me a chance to noodle on things but I can't ever shut it away and the mess bothers me
It would be nice to have a room, but I do like to be near everything and everything in my entire house is within about 15 steps of my workspace. I like my house, and unless hubby goes back to working outside of the house, there's no other space that would work.

What do you like about your space? I have a she-shed and I LOVE that it is all MINE. I can decorate it as I like. I can leave it messy. I can escape from the house. I can use my heat gun, sewing machine or Cameo without waking up my 4 year old.
What do you dislike? I don’t like to be out there at night and since I work full time, I don’t get as much time in my shed as I’d like. I gets a little lonely. It gets really dusty and I spend more time cleaning than crafting sometimes. It can get too hot to be in there.
What works for you and what doesn’t work in your space? I have enough counter space. I have enough storage. I wish I had more light and A/C so it was more comfortable in the summer.
If you could change something in your space what would it be? Honestly, I’d rather have a craft room in the house instead of the she-shed.

What do you like about your space? What do you dislike? What works for you and what doesn’t work in your space? If you could change something in your space what would it be? 1) I like having my own room, I can leave it how I want and don't have to answer to anyone. I can also organize however I want, but DH sometimes gives me crap (just teasing) about how I'd rather organize my scraproom than the rest of the house. Well, duh! I also like that I put a comfy chair in here, so I can plunk down to look at a magazine or a stampin up catalog and not be at my table. 2) I dislike the lighting. I have an overhead light and a small ott light. It is not enough, but lighting is expensive and takes up space. It is not a huge room and has a small window. I also don't like that I tend to stack stuff on top of other stuff. I don't have great shelving and need to shift stuff a lot. 3) I would have an area for stamping, and a rolly chair too. I have a kitchen chair and sometimes it is annoying to shift back and forth at my table (also a free ugly handmedown joblackford ) and one time I moved too quick and the chair leg buckled underneath and I went flying! I fixed it though. One other thing-I realize I am lucky to have a "room of one's own" victorianpersistence.files.wordpress.com/2013/03/a-room-of-ones-own-virginia-woolf-1929.pdfbut sometimes it can be lonely. I tend not to interact with anyone else when I am down in "solitary" except online and it feels weird and disconnected on occasion.

I like that i have a space.
It in my bedroom, but i can do whatever i want with it.
I dislike that my entire bedroom is small, so my scrapping space is small.
What works for me is that all of my supplies are at my fingertips.
What doesn't work for me is that i feel confined sometimes. And I don't have a lot of room to spread out. It makes doing messy techniques hard.
If i could change anything, it would be to double the size of the room. I'm out of room for albums, and have zero space left for another bookcase unit.

I wish I had more space. I am set up at one end of our long living room. The dining room is an L off the LR, so my Cricut is on the DR table.
I have to keep my Iris cases by theme in the lower level. I guess the bonus to that is I get up out of my chair more.

I have an unusable/unorganized craft space right now but when it is pulled together, which it will be at some point, I like having a designated organized space to actually FIND stuff!

Things I like about my space: in the lower level out of the way, so I'm not constantly interrupted; standing height, built-in counter and storage on 1 wall; shelf storage units on every other wall; a Tim Holtz vibe with lots of antique/industrial storage items; the cherry dining table I bought on Craigslist when we moved in that I use as my main worktable.
Things I dislike: toooooo small! Forces me to purge very regularly; have a hard time keeping my work table clean, even with lots of storage in reach - I think since I do 12x12, cards and PL, I have a lot of little pieces or items I set on the side and they pile up. I have 1 Raskog cart that I'd like to reorganize and use the top for overflow from my table - it feels like a big project that will cause other issues so I'm procrastinating on that.
When the kids are gone and if we plan to stay here long-term, I plan to expand my room into a bedroom which would about triple my current space and give me a much larger window for daylight. Cannot wait!

I have an unusable/unorganized craft space right now but when it is pulled together, which it will be at some point, I like having a designated organized space to actually FIND stuff! This is exactly where I'm at. I have to use the desk in my room for now, which is okay, but the room that was supposed to be my craft room has just been a room full of boxes for 3 years now. I've asked for help on setting it up countless times since we moved in since I'll be sharing it with someone else and didn't want to just take it over without her say. All I need to get started is a folding table and some basic shelving... most of my supplies have been in boxes and mostly unorganized so I can't even really use it. It's very frustrating!

What do you like about your space?
We bought a new to us house last year to be closer to DH's new job. I like that I have my own room. Well I share with DD, but she's been just grabbing stuff and using elsewhere. It has 2 large (well, larger than the one single narrow window from the farm house craft room). So great lighting is awesome. It's also larger than the farmhouse craftroom and it isn't the access to the only bathroom like the farm. It's totally private. Yay!
What do you dislike?
I haven't taken off the wallpaper and painted it yet.
What works for you and what doesn’t work in your space?
I'm still figuring out the logistics of the new space, I really like standing when I'm paper crafting, but dislike standing against a wall. I had a space in the middle of the room that I could walk around, but I'm not loving having the floor space taken up. I want to put a sofa bed in there for guests as well so unless I build a base with casters to easily move the center piece it will be a pain to move. I love my new light - a phive, and my new rolling computer stand. I can roll my computer into my bedroom if there are guests. The computer stand can also go from standing to sitting. It was a cheap amazon buy, but it works for me. I keep many of my supplies in iris boxes or large ziplock bags by theme, collection, kit club kit, or homemade kit. This is the best system for me. Additional embellishments are by type or theme for the most part which works well, except being still a new space sometimes I forget where I put it.
If you could change something in your space what would it be?
I'd like some better organizational furniture that could be closed up so you don't see it which is never how I preferred things in any other house. I was always a "want to see it or won't use it" type of gal. I think because I will use this room for guests too.

I have mixed feelings about being in an open space (I have a section of the open-plan family room) - it's nice to be in the middle of everything but it might be nice to shut the door occasionally Same. I have a section of a family room area that's used as a bit of a dumping ground for the family (old toys, donations, sleeping bags). It also has our guest bed, a mini trampoline, and several colorful storage bins. It's a fairly high traffic area with no door, and no boundaries. Other people's stuff lands in my scrapping area, and since I've been using the carpeted floor more and more, my stuff is bleeding out into other areas of the room too. It's not what anyone could call tidy. But since it's out of the way up in the attic, it's rarely a priority when it comes to cleaning it. At least it's a comfortable space. I wish I had more wall space (most of my walls are about 4 ft high before the roof pitches). And I sometimes I wish I had more desk space, but actually I'm fine with the floor. It's too hot to use in the summer, but it's great during the rest of the year.

I like my space. It is a 14' x 18' area. I have a heater I leave run during the winter, the thermostat is set at 55°. What I don't have is plumbing, or a computer.

What do you like about your space? I used to have part of a large family room, then I became an empty nester and about 2 years ago, took that stuff into one of the extra bedrooms and made that work. About a month ago, I bought one bookshelf and that started me down a rabbit hole and I have completely redone my space. I love it. I do wish it were larger, but I have really made the best use of everything, purchased furniture that fits and organizing tools that work. I am ecstatic. I never decorated the space when I moved in 2 years ago, so now I am and I am really loving it. It is still in process, and I am getting a whole lot of organizing done, but not much scrapbooking lol.
What do I not like? I do wish it were bigger, and I'd love a sink in there, but otherwise I am really loving it!
Everything is working great right now, but if I could change something I would probably get new flooring and more overhead lighting.

I live in a 400sqft apartment and we have 3 cats, so space is super limited. I've made it work, but it's frustrating. I can't use one wall in my living room because of the heater, so that takes away a lot of craft space.
But, it is all in one place, which helps and makes it easier

What do you like about your space? I like that my space is upstairs, away from everyone. I can leave it messy and decorate it any way I want and no one cares.
What do you dislike? That its so far away from everyone. Since my space is out of the way from everyone, it can be lonely being upstairs while everyone else is downstairs.
What works for you and what doesn’t work in your space? I have a 6' farmable with a glass top that I love. My ceiling stants so I have a good amount of wall space that is unusable.
If you could change something in your space what would it be? I'd change the ceiling & I would have more built-in storage.

For many years, I didn’t really have my own space. In my current home, I have a loft that works well for me. It has a closet, low shelves that run around the room, and collapsible tables that I can take down when family come, since the grandsons bunk on the floor there. It works for me. I do need to reorganize it and get rid of things that I probably won’t use, but other than that, I am happy with my craft space.

What I love: ****My own room (finally) I do have a twin bed in there just in case for company but it is a big room so it doesn't really affect what I can do with my room. ****My big desk that once was an elementary science table. It's extra deep (originally for four kids to share) ****All my cubes I have bought at the stores and/or garage sales. And a bunch that were given to me. I have five cubes long and five cubes tall.. I THINK. ****On top of my cubes I have all my cutesy stuff displayed (although I feel it is a little junky and I need to redo). It's not bad but needs to be more 'cleaner' but I have: Friends Lego Cafe, Central Perk Pioneer Woman's Barbie setup Princess Diana Large Purple TY Bear - Beanie Baby kind Old cabinet (small) that is about 100 years old, was DH, now mine. It holds little odds and ends. Some more random things I can't think of. ****My grandma's vintage table that backs up to my desk. DD uses it for her crafts. This is my favorite piece. It's an old Formica table my cousin had sitting in his carport for years. I saved it. ****An old typewriter.. not OLD, but it is an electric one that my work was getting rid of a few years ago. I grabbed it quick. ****A 'bookshelf' sorta. It was part of my kids' furniture that I saved. It originally held toys and books. One shelf for books and the rest toys. It's very very deep. I almost got rid of it but I thought it would make great storage for my stuff. So it did and it stayed. ****A CHEAP find at an estate sale. It was a 'shadow box' that was handmade to hold golf balls. I bought it for $2 and I used Pioneer Woman's contact paper and lined the back of it. DH is going to hang for me soon and I will display my stamps on it. I don't even stamp!! HA.. But a few years ago, I got 4 bins of scrapbook stuff for $20, which included 100's of stamps and ink.
What I don't love or need help: ****Closet is messy and I need to empty it and make it more usable ****Lots of empty containers (in closet). As I have changed the way I store stuff over the years but I hate to get rid of because my stash comes in handy. ****Wish I had the money to make the whole room look less clutter'ish. But on the other hand I like my clutter.. heehee.

I like having a dedicated place for my crafts rather than several Closets around the house. I like not having to go up or downstairs.
What works for me? :
*My new to me corner desk from ikea I love it *My die storage trays for my stand alone dies I use the dies so much more this way because it’s so easy To access them. 90% of my dies fit thru my sidekick & it’s on my desk & used daily. I slide out a labeled themed tray pick out my die run it thru put it right back. No mess, no flipping thru anything, no unpackaging & repackaging stuff *My diecut station that slides in & out from under my desk when I need that bigger cut, it’s out of the way when I don’t need it but at hand if I do. *My cameo station is working, if I put it ‘away’ I’ll never use it I tell you. It’s just a chair slide away so I use it more.
What’s not working: *stamp storage * thicker/sticker storage or lack there of *There’s several items that I like to keep handy but don’t have a close by space for so they clutter my desk *I need to sort & file my personal files & get them OUT of what is going to be my scrap storage cabinet. *Lack of outlets in better places

My space is actually in 3 separate areas.
#1 is a corner in the family room right next to DH computers and across from the TV. Very convenient unless we both want to use that area at the same time. This houses all my scrapbooking and cutting supplies. I am a huge believer in going vertical with storage, as tall as I can go. Everything is no more than 2 steps away.
#2 is my stamping/mixed media area otherwise known as the utility room, next to the family room. I have a tsll Costco bakers rack for material, stamps, paint, etc. My work surface is my chest freezer, the slop sink is 3 steps away. Like that I don’t have to worry about making a mess with embossing powder and such. Dislike that I have to run back and forth when doing some projects.
#3 is my DD bedroom since she moved out. There isn’t much spare room but I keep all my paper items for my collages here on stacking cubes and a desk already in the room. Like that I don’t have to go downstairs to the family room to work. I am solar powered and love being able to pull out a few supplies and see the daylight while I collage in front of the TV. Hate that I either have to lug some supplies up and downstairs or buy doubles of everything.
Overall I like my space although I might need more stamp storage. I love, love, love my heavy stacking cubes that I bought 27 years ago for my kids bedrooms. They are strong and hold a ton. I also love my binder storage for my dies. They are very easy to access but take up very little room. If I had the wall space and a private room for all my crafting I would love to try storing my dies on the magnet panels mounted on a wall.

What do you like about your space? The devoted room on the main floor has an attached bath, oversized walk-in-closet, large windows, & hardwood floors. I scrap on a counter-height project table; store paper/embellishments on two leaning shelves/bookcases, stamping supplies in a wide 5-drawer flat file, diecutting/embossing supplies in a cube bookcase, & a couple decades of memorabilia/wrapping paper/bulky items in the closet; & sit in an oversized chair with ottoman & side table when taking a break, drafting journaling, creating or perusing sketches, etc.
What do you dislike? Nothing.
What works for you and what doesn’t work in your space? Overall, I'm pleased with the aesthetic & functionality of the space.
If you could change something in your space, what would it be? I'm considering adding a standard height table/desk (for a better place to prep - sketch layouts, type journaling, etc. - than the comfy chair), but am concerned it will interrupt the current flow & uncuttered feel of the space.

I have an extra bedroom for my craft space. I love the organization, it's inside the house, and it is full. I have decided that it is mostly my storage area because I still grab stuff and work from my bed even though that space is comfy and has a tv in it.
