I will miss baseball. If the shutdowns go through May then I will miss seeing Adam Ant and Hamilton.

I've had to cancel our family trip so it'll be a few more months until I see my kids. I don't know how it will happen though as they have to take holiday time to stay home now so not sure if they will get more holiday time this year or not.

Honestly, my DD getting to go to her dance studio. Dancing is like breathing for her and while she can totally practice at home, it doesn’t help reset her anxiety like going to class.
And eating out. I don’t love to cook and it’s going to get old for everyone here pretty quickly.

We haven’t been home to see family in quite a few years( DH is military) so we were going for a visit next month and that’s been canceled. 😢 We were all really looking forward to it! I think I’ll miss shopping for fun and going to restaurants. My daughter is worried they are going to cancel prom and the Nial Horan concert she has tickets to next month. Thank you, your husband, and family for his service. I’m aware that all of you sacrifice, not just him. I’m sorry you had to cancel your visit. Hopefully you’ll be able to reschedule it once this is over. As for me, I tend to be an extrovert so it’s the people I’ll be missing and the normalcy of everyday life.

So much! Going out to eat with my family, softball season, school play, getting together with friends, just to name a few.

Traveling to Orlando to watch my high school pom pom daughter perform with her marching band at a parade at Disney. Then traveling from Orlando to Daytona to watch my college dance team daughter perform at NDA Nationals.
Watching my Maryland Terps win the Big Ten Conference and NCAA basketball tournament!
Also the everyday stuff that I usually complain about - running to the grocery store, taking my daughter to dance, going out to eat, etc.

I didn't have any big events, trips, occasions, etc to lose out on. But I will miss the simple everyday aspects of life. Being able to wander around Target for an hour looking at things. Going to my job without being afraid I will carry home a disease. The security of knowing my vet will be open if we have a cat emergency.

Baseball and horse racing. Sure, the horses are still running and I can watch on TV. I enjoy being at the track. I enjoy being there early on Saturday to watch them work out at dawn. And I love the people watching. I had just met a friend who works seasonally at the track here. I won't be able to see him as much now. (We actually met at poetry night and that has been cancelled for a couple weeks).

Absolutely the NCAA basketball tournament.
Our boys' state basketball tournament was held, but only immediate family could attend. Missed going to watch the hometown team play.
Mostly I am worried that my son's senior year is going to be over. No prom, no more school activities, maybe no graduation. I am worried about his registering for college classes, trying out for the the marching band, getting housing.
So much is unknown.

My husband is already missing sports. Watching old games just is not that fun for him. For me, running to the store if I need an item. Going out to eat.

The Hollywood Theater. They are my favorite place in Portland and I love going there to watch the old weird movies they show, they have delicious popcorn and Ruby Jewel ice cream sandwiches and you can have a beer while watching the movie. It is the perfect place for me to feel like I am being social, but without having to talk to adults! I will miss my job too, working with 3-5 year olds is pretty damn entertaining and fun.

I have an only child who is a senior. We have her prom gown and graduation dress (they wear long white dresses for graduation instead of a cap and gown) hanging in her closet for events she may not get to participate in ($300 worth of dresses even though that’s not the most important thing). She’s upset for all of the end of high school traditions she’ll not have and hates that she isn’t spending this time with her friends.
I love to eat lunch and dinner out. I already miss that.

I miss my students. Because I teach special ed. I have worked with some of my kids since they were in kindergarten. 3 of them will be moving on to the middle school and I will miss them so much! DH and I have cancelled our trip to Jamaica in May too.
My youngest DS is a senior in high school. He is sad about missing out on senior activities: band spring concert, prom, band trip to Galveston, and just being with his friends.

Maui in April. It's been a long cold winter...still a cold winter, -30something windchill the past few days. Oh well at least it's sunny.

If the supply chain is interrupted, certain creature comforts like good coffee.
Otherwise, please, allow me to stay home with my family for a couple of months. It will give me the life back I had pre-full time job. I miss being able to stay home for days on end and having face to face contact with only 4 people.
The ability to whatever I want: lounge around and read a book for hours on end, sleep in, journal or write, knit, create something in the kitchen. To be unhurried and unburdened is something I long for.

My job .... rehearsals are my favorite part if the day and reset my frustrations of teaching kids who are in my class for a fine arts credit. I am torn up for my seniors who are missing their last one act play competition, their final bows, their senior directed plays, not to mention prom and graduation. None of that is officially cancelled yet, but with the numbers rising I can't imagine they are going to happen.
I also miss the freedom of being able to run to the store or the bank or go for a quick trip somewhere.
I am trying to look at the positives of being with my kids and husband but it's a scary, anxious time and that's a bit of a cloud over everything.

I don't know how it will happen though as they have to take holiday time to stay home now so not sure if they will get more holiday time this year or not. Are you in the US. They are sign the bill to pay people who get quarantined, sick or 'laid' off, shut down... Check that out ... The things my students are losing, especially seniors. At this point, the spring play is likely gone. Spring sports. Probably prom. And hopefully not graduation.

DH is already missing sports so much. THAT just brought back to me why we got a TV all those many years ago... thinking 1952 ... so my grandfather who had had a heart attack could watch his Brooklyn Dodgers!! The same grandfather who had taken me to see Jackie Robinson play!

Sorry I think that is through the House. It still has to make it through Trump’s Senate. I think there is a chance the Republicans will say no and they will blame it on the Dems. I JUST emailed my senator supporting it. He already will, but it gives him evidence of support.

Sports are missed. I know my husband was looking forward to a few races and they are postponed. I like to watch the races with him as well. MLB to that will be missed.
I need surgery but it is considered elective so that will have to wait. Was supposed to be March and got pushed to the end of April. Things are currently under control with meds but that could change in a moment. Really hoping to be able to have surgery befire things get bad snd I have to go to the ER. So praying the meds keep working and that I don’t run out before surgery. Going to try and get extra but but sure they will prescribe that many.
Missing just being able to go to the store for a few items or to the library. Going to breweries or wineries.
What I will miss most is going out or take out food.

It’s my oldest daughter’s senior year. I just watched her last swim meet ever a few months ago and now it seems that I may have watched her last softball game on Thursday night. I thought I had a little more time to enjoy her as a high schooler and now the rest of the school year looks very different and uncertain.

I'm let down that I can't take my kids out to do fun stuff for Spring break. There were a few spring-only events that have already been cancelled that we'll miss.
My teen has already had two competitions canceled for April. One was out of city, one out of state. Sucks for them to work so hard to qualify, only to not go.
Their spring hs dance will probably be cancelled.
Not even going to lie, I'll miss scrapping all those events we miss out on.
I really miss not feeling anxiety about whether I will be able to get my kids' meds, if we'll be able to get doctor appointments if needed, if I'll get sick from working around the public, or alternatively if I'll lose pay if my work is closed.
