A couple times a day, someone in our town shares a picture of the white board outside our Costco that lists the out of stock items. Besides the usual wipes, TP and hand sanitizer ours is out of stock of:
Avocado Oil Vinegar Computer Monitors
I’m in the Seattle area.

The last time I was at Aldi (over a week ago), the only brand of wine out of stock was the kind I drink lol.

I went to the store Saturday, things I couldn't find:
apples (they had a few of a couple variety, but they were looking rough....no bags of apples) garlic & onions (I wasn't looking for them so there there may have been *some* but that aisle appears to only have a few random onion skins lying around) jalepenos (I was looking for these and couldn't believe they were totally out)

I get the computer monitors- for those of us with a laptop-teleworking is much more pleasant with a computer monitor.

The one thing I noticed was the lack of flour. I wanted some bread flour just in case I had to pull out the bread machine and there wasn't any and only a few bags of regular. They were also totally out of meats except for ham slices. Good thing my freezer is pretty well stocked at the moment.

My grocery store was out of fresh mushrooms--there's only one dish I purposefully buy canned mushrooms for, otherwise we use a lot of fresh mushrooms. I then forgot to look for canned mushrooms, but I couldn't have gotten many anyway because there was a limit of 6 canned vegetables.

Oat milk. Had no idea it had become so popular.

I doubt if that would effect all the mushrooms though.

People are buying just to be buying and leaving nothing for the rest of us who don't think it's the end of the world. They don't care what it is- so nothing surprises me. I've said it before- I'm much more afraid of these people than catching the virus. Sorry- vent over...

I haven't been back out in a few days but I'm hoping that with stores cutting their hours they've been able to better restock....I feel like they had a lot of stock in the backroom and simply weren't able to restock the vast majority because they were trying to deal with the crazies looking for toilet paper.

There is no toilet paper/paper towels/Kleenex at the 2 Publix stores in my town and none in the warehouse. They've been out since last week. Also, very little meat- no chicken or hamburger or ground turkey- a little pork and beef steaks. Even the small turkey breasts are gone. No eggs, milk, sugar, flour, sour cream of any kind. I'm an Instacart shopper and I'm in the stores several times a day. People are still clearing everything out.

Oh and for me, it’s now frozen pineapple (or really any frozen fruit). I use about a half cup of frozen pineapple in my morning smoothie to add thickness, I’m down to enough for maybe 3 more :/

I'm all for buying a little extra but this is beyond that.

I was complaining about not being able to find Ding Dongs on another thread...still out everywhere I’ve looked but today I found them in a store I don’t normally go to. Success! In a true apocalypse they’d be completely gone everywhere. I figure they were only at this one place because they were located way the hell in the back by The tampons. Weird but okay.
Also onions. No onions!!

I haven’t been out to the store to look for lentils, but currently have some on order from Amazon. They are saying delivery on Sunday. Fingers crossed!

Popcorn. You can get the chemical-filled microwavable bags, but i just buy regular ol' popcorn for my own popper. First (pre-coronavirus) my internet grocer quit carrying it. They only carried one brand, and it was organic ($$$), so I thought, No biggie - I'll just pick it up at the corner grocer, who carried one gourmet brand and two cheapo brands (located in three different aisles of the store). Well. My first post-corona shopping trip, someone had cleared out ALL of the regular popcorn. It had to have been one person, because all the other things in ALL THREE sections were stocked up, but the loose popcorn was empty. I am so sad. My whole family likes popcorn, it's cheap, it doesn't take up much storage space, and it's easy to make in the microwave popper.

I guarantee that there is nothing in the backrooms that they haven’t stocked .. if the rest of country is like us we put out all we had and it wasn’t near enough. Now waiting for our distributor to re stock so we can. Never in my career seen anything like it.
