Paul was the only senator to vote against the first round of emergency coronavirus funding of $8 billion earlier this month. The diagnosis comes as Senate Republicans and Democrats are negotiating over a massive economic stimulus bill. He's asymptomatic so I guess he'll be fine but apparently he's been romping around with the GOP at lunch, he was in the Senate gym this morning, used the pool, etc. There are a lot of elderly Senators, Rand may have really started something. ”We want to be clear, Senator Paul left the Senate IMMEDIATELY upon learning of his diagnosis. He had zero contact with anyone & went into quarantine. Insinuations such as those below that he went to the gym after learning of his results are just completely false & irresponsible!” Here’s the thing. He had the test so he may have thought he may have been exposed unless he decided to get the test just for kicks. So why didn’t he err on the side of caution and cut out activities like going to the gym until he got the results of the test? Any logical person would. And when was the first vote. He was walking aroud the Capital for how many days? He should have quarantined himself immediately he CHOOSE to get the test!!! He used the gym and pool, was in closed meetings!! How did he get back to Kentucky? Walk? Fly? Oh wait must be his private jet! He certainly did not fly commercial, did he? The RESPONSIBLE thing to do !! Senator Mike Lee (R-UT) “Upon learning that my colleague Sen. Paul tested positive for COVID-19, I consulted the Attending Physician of the U.S. Congress Dr. Harding. He advised me that because I have no symptoms or other risk factors, a COVID-19 test was not warranted," Lee said. "However, given the timing, proximity, and duration of my exposure to Sen. Paul, he directed me to self-quarantine for 14 days."** thehill.com/homenews/senate/488922-sen-mike-lee-self-quarantines-after-rand-paul-tests-positive-for-coronavirus

This from Seung Min Kim “During the Senate GOP lunch today, Moran told colleagues that Rand was at the gym this morning, per two sources briefed on the lunch, and that he was swimming in the pool. Rand got his COVID-19 results back this morning.” Prompted this response from Rand Paul’s office... So why didn’t he err on the side of caution and cut out activities like going to the gym until he got the results of the test? Any logical person would. He is evil personified. He had tons of contact when he THOUGHT he was infected. He is reckless and should be put in prison. I agree with freecharlie. While I never wish for anyone to die, I hope he is in utter agony just so he understands how horrific it is. Someone told me over the weekend that they wanted to catch it so that they would then be immune. "I'm only 56 and I'm healthy, so I'll be fine," he said. I thought (SO SO SO SO hard) "I hope you do and I hope it's really, really bad and you finally realize what an idiot you are" but I am not quite sure that my ability to project my thoughts out loud has been perfected. This guy is an engineer and his wife is a retired nurse and they both agreed. Freaking idiots.

(CNN) Emma, a 12-year-old girl, is "fighting for her life" in an Atlanta hospital after testing positive for the coronavirus, according to her cousin.Justin Anthony told CNN that Emma was diagnosed with pneumonia on March 15 and tested positive for coronavirus on Friday night. As of Saturday, she was on a ventilator and is currently in stable condition, Anthony said. Emma had no pre-existing conditions. Didn't you know....you aren't contagious until you are diagnosed. That seems to be the logic of Rand Paul and his spokesperson.

Rand Paul says amid criticism that more Americans should be able to get tested for coronavirus
"I believe we need more testing immediately, even among those without symptoms," Paul said. Paul's diagnosis triggered a discussion about whether senators, many of whom are in older age brackets, should go home immediately or self-quarantine, given their likely contact with Paul, who was on the Senate floor extensively over the past week. It also put the passage of key congressional bills in question moving forward as Democrats and Republicans struggle to reach a deal on the stimulus package. Sens. Mike Lee and Mitt Romney, both Utah Republicans, announced they would be self-quarantining for two weeks after having had "extended" interactions with Paul and would have to miss floor votes. www.nbcnews.com/politics/congress/rand-paul-says-amid-criticism-more-americans-should-be-able-n1166871So instead of one Senator out, because Paul did not self-quarantine, there are 2 more out.... There are 2-3 others out.... GOP could lose a vote, theoretically. Surprisingly Tucker Carlson is going heavy duty after Sen Richard Burr (R-NC).
