Ours, while fast as usual, is becoming increasingly unreliable. I don’t think it can handle the insanely increased load. Also having problems with Verizon mobile LTE. Not complaining but curious. My friends are having similar issues.

Everything seems to be good here so far, (both cable and phone), knock on wood.

Not that great. Apple just told me my screen time was up 27%. No shit Sherlock.

I’m not having any issues with mobile. At home, though. Ugh. We have Xfinity gig speed and it’s generally been very good. But with the influx of WFH people in my neighborhood (I always work from home), it’s been slower. Acceptable but not great. I’m getting a lot of unstable connection warnings on Zoom (kudos to them for handling all the new traffic seamlessly). It’s definitely a widespread thing - my company is mostly remote and almost everyone is experiencing similar things.

I have always worked from home and I am not seeing any drastic change in internet speed.

I’ve also always worked from home. I had one day last week where it was glitchy, but for the most part it’s been BAU.

That’s one positive for us-ours sucks all the time. We’re rural. So it’s not affecting us any more than usual. Going to California was such a shock. Everyplace has internet. Every store and restaraunt. 100% opposite of here. The internet I pay for doesn’t even work.

I went through serious withdrawals on our coastal road trip lol

It’s definitely slower than usual. It’s gotten progressively slower each week for the past 3 weeks.

Fine for the most part. Two boys gaming and me streaming or working hasn't affected it yet. I think Comcast lifted the cap for a while though.

Our provider upped the speeds in our neighborhood to compensate for the extra traffic from everyone being at home. I am having issues in a group text I have where one person out of 6 has an Android, we aren’t getting all of her messages.

Mine is fine so far (on fiber with att uverse and internet). In fact, I got an email from them Friday saying they were bumping me up an internet tier at no cost (so from 100 to 300).

It's been ok. If 3 of us are using it there can sometimes be issues, but if 4 of us use it it's worse. DH has issues trying to do anything on his work laptop while at home, so he's still going into the office. It's going to be interesting if he has to stay home at any point, especially since our youngest is starting online learning this week. At least DH gets up early so he can probably put in half a day before the rest of us get up!

So far so good here. We have the fastest AT&T fiber internet package with unlimited usage. DH has been working at home this week and I haven't noticed any issues yet. Really glad we got the unlimited package 3 years ago and locked in that lower rate!

The one thing we had to add when I moved my computer to the back corner of the house was a booster system (due to the layout of our house. DH bought the Eero System and not a dropped connection since then.

Yes, I am sitting right next to my Gateway, yet I don't have wireless on my phone and our TV (UVerse) keeps going out. And my neighbors are also complaining, some have Uverse, some Spectrum, some Verizon.
My hubby thinks we might lose internet!

We upgraded home internet to gigabit internet in January, and it’s coping nicely, so far.
I have two internet lines, one home one business. Cause of HIPAA we have to keep both entirely separate. My work one has been slow, but it’s a much slower speed than my home one is.

I live a rural area so my only internet option is a wifi hotspot from Verizon. It's slow at the best of the times but since the stay at home order it's been way worse. Verizon is also not removing any data caps like some other companies which is infuriating.

When I moved, I had the tech run ethernet from one side of the house (living room where the gateway is) to the other side (computer room) so I could put a switch in there for hard wiring the computers. Wifi usually works in there but is weak sometimes. Something like this This would be a perfect solution.

We are rural and our only option is Hughes satellite or our Verizon cell service. Daughter is home from college and needs to be on Zoom meetings everyday. We will run out of cell data in a couple of days. The satellite service is too slow for streaming. In the past she could go to a Starbucks or the library or even a friend’s house. She might have to go back to her apartment in the college town if she can’t get enough WiFi.

My internet has definitely been fussy. I don’t know if it is because we have so many devices in our house or if it is because I live within walking distance of Amazon and Google and have a zillion people working from home nearby. I got special permission from my closed university to teach from my office (I will literally be the only person in the building) because I can’t rely on my internet to not suddenly freeze.

We upgraded our modem and router a couple weeks ago, just in time for all this.
